Real-time line projection for fast terahertz spectral computed tomography   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We demonstrated fast terahertz spectral computed tomography by using real-time line projection of a terahertz beam. Two types of cross-sectional images of continuously rotating samples have been measured in only a few seconds. From temporal data, a peak-to-peak sinogram and cross sections have been reconstructed using a filtered backprojection algorithm. Using fast Fourier transform from temporal data, spectral cross sections of the sample have been obtained.  相似文献

We discuss a model limit problem which arises as a first step in the mathematical justification of our Boussinesq-type approximation [4], which takes into account dissipative heating in natural convection. We treat a simplified highly non linear system depending on a (perturbation) parameter ε. The main difficulty is that for ε ≠ 0 the velocity is not solenoidal. First we prove that our system has weak solutions for each fixed ε. Moreover, while the chosen perturbation parameter ε tends to zero we show, that we arrive at the usual incompressible case and the standard Boussinesq approximation.  相似文献

This paper deals with large time behaviors of solutions to a Keller–Segel system which possesses self-similar solutions. By taking into account the invariant properties of the equation with respect to a scaling and translations, we show that suitably shifted self-similar solutions give more precise asymptotic profiles of general solutions at large time. We propose and demonstrate high-quality generation of a uniform multispot pattern (MSP) by using a spatial light modulator with adaptive feedback. The method iteratively updates a computer generated hologram (CGH) using correction coefficients to improve the intensity distribution of the generated MSP in the optical system. Thanks to a simple method of determining the correction coefficients, the computational cost for optimizing the CGH is low, while maintaining high uniformity of the generated MSP. We demonstrate the generation of a 28×28 square-aligned MSP with high uniformity. Additionally, the proposed method could generate an MSP with a gradually varying intensity profile, as well as a uniform MSP consisting of more than 1000 spots arranged in an arbitrary pattern.  相似文献

We have developed an adaptive optics (AO) fundus camera to obtain high resolution retinal images of eyes. We use a liquid crystal phase modulator to compensate the aberrations of the eye for better resolution and better contrast in the images. The liquid crystal phase modulator has a wider dynamic range to compensate aberrations than most mechanical deformable mirrors and its linear phase generation makes it easy to follow eye movements. The wavefront aberration was measured in real time with a sampling rate of 10 Hz and the closed loop system was operated at around 2 Hz. We developed software tools to align consecutively obtained images. From our experiments with three eyes, the aberrations of normal eyes were reduced to less than 0.1 μm (RMS) in less than three seconds by the liquid crystal phase modulator. We confirmed that this method was adequate for measuring eyes with large aberrations including keratoconic eyes. Finally, using the liquid crystal phase modulator, high resolution images of retinas could be obtained.  相似文献

A 3 × 6 arrayed charge‐coupled device (CCD) X‐ray detector has been developed for the continuous‐rotation method in macromolecular crystallography at the Photon Factory. The detector has an area of 235.9 mm × 235.9 mm and a readout time of 1.9 s. The detector is made of a 3 × 6 array of identical modules, each module consisting of a fiber‐optic taper (FOT), a CCD sensor and a readout circuit. The outputs from 18 CCDs are read out in parallel and are then digitized by 16‐bit analog‐to‐digital converters. The advantage of this detector over conventional FOT‐coupled CCD detectors is the unique CCD readout scheme (frame transfer) which enables successive X‐ray exposures to be recorded without interruption of the sample crystal rotation. A full data set of a lysozyme crystal was continuously collected within 360 s (180° rotation, 3 s/1.5° frame). The duty‐cycle ratio of the X‐ray exposure to the data collection time was almost 100%. The combination of this detector and synchrotron radiation is well suited to rapid and continuous data collection in macromolecular crystallography.  相似文献

For the fabrication of particles designed in the nanoscale structure, or the nanostructural modification of particles using mechanical grinding process, selenium powders ground by a planetary ball mill at various rotational speeds have been investigated. Structural analyses, such as particle size distributions, crystallite sizes, lattice strains and nearest neighbour distances were performed using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and dynamical light scattering.By grinding powder particles became spherical composites consisting of nanocrystalline and amorphous phase, and had a distribution with the average size of 2.7 m. Integral intensities of diffraction peaks of annealed crystal selenium decreased with increasing grinding time, and these peaks broadened due to lattice strains and reducing crystallite size during the grinding. The ground powder at 200 rpm did not have the lattice strain and showed amorphization for the present grinding periods. It indicates that the amorphization of Se by grinding accompanies the lattice strain, and the lattice strain arises from a larger energy concerning intermolecular interaction. In this process, the impact energy is spent on thermal and structural changes according to energy accumulation in macroscopic (the particle size distribution) and microscopic (the crystallite size and the lattice strain) range.  相似文献

An indirectly illuminated X-ray area detector is employed for X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS). The detector consists of a phosphor screen, an image intensifier (microchannel plate), a coupling lens and either a CCD or CMOS image sensor. By changing the gain of the image intensifier, both photon-counting and integrating measurements can be performed. Speckle patterns with a high signal-to-noise ratio can be observed in a single shot in the integrating mode, while XPCS measurement can be performed with much fewer photons in the photon-counting mode. By switching the image sensor, various combinations of frame rate, dynamic range and active area can be obtained. By virtue of these characteristics, this detector can be used for XPCS measurements of various types of samples that show slow or fast dynamics, a high or low scattering intensity, and a wide or narrow range of scattering angles.  相似文献

Magnetism in transition-metal-doped silicon nanotubes   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Using first-principles density functional calculations, we show that hexagonal metallic silicon nanotubes can be stabilized by doping with 3d transition metal atoms. Finite nanotubes doped with Fe and Mn have high local magnetic moments, whereas Co-doped nanotubes have low values and Ni-doped nanotubes are mostly nonmagnetic. The infinite Si24Fe4 nanotube is found to be ferromagnetic with nearly the same local magnetic moment on each Fe atom as in bulk iron. Mn-doped nanotubes are antiferromagnetic, but a ferrromagnetic state lies only 0.03 eV higher in energy with a gap in the majority spin bands near the Fermi energy. These materials are interesting for silicon-based spintronic devices and other nanoscale magnetic applications.  相似文献
