Electronic absorption spectra and Raman spectra of N,N-dimethyl-p-nitroaniline (DMPNA) have been measured in various fluids from the gaseous-like conditions in supercritical fluids (SCFs) to highly polar room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs). We found that the S0-S1 absorption band center of DMPNA in RTILs is mostly determined by the molar concentrations of ions. On the other hand, the bandwidth of the absorption spectrum does not follow the expectation from a simple dielectric continuum model. Especially in SCFs, the bandwidth of the absorption spectrum decreases with increasing solvent density, suggesting that the intramolecular reorganization energy is a decreasing function of the solvent density. The Raman shift of the NO2 stretching mode has been proven to be a good indicator of the solvent polarity; i.e., the vibrational frequency of the NO2 stretching mode changes from 1340 cm-1 in mostly nonpolar solvent such as ethane to 1300 cm-1 in water. The linear relationship between the absorption band center and the vibrational frequency of the NO2 mode, which was observed for conventional liquids in a previous paper (Fujisawa, T.; Terazima, M.; Kimura, Y. J. Chem. Phys. 2006, 124, 184503), holds almost well for all fluids including SCFs and RTILs. On the other hand, the vibrational bandwidth does not show a simple relationship with the absorption band center. The vibrational bandwidths in RTILs are generally larger in comparison with those in conventional liquids with similar polarity scales. Among the RTILs we investigated, the vibrational bandwidth loosely correlates with the molecular size of the anion. A similar dependence on the anion size is also observed for the bandwidth of the absorption spectrum. We have also investigated the excitation wavelength dependence of the Raman shift of the NO2 stretching mode in RTILs. The extent of the dependence on the excitation wavelength in all fluids is well correlated with the vibrational bandwidth.  相似文献

Nanosized pure TiO2 particles with high crystallinity and large surface area were prepared by hydrolysis of tetrabutyl titanate in water/Triton X-100/isooctane reverse micelle solutions as reaction media followed by hydrothermal treatment to improve crystallinity. The prepared TiO2 nanoparticles were characterized by XRD, BET, TGA, FT-IR and TEM. The size of ultrafine particles was controlled by changing the water content of the reverse micelle solution. The TiO2 particles showed monodispersity, large surface area and high degrees of crystallinity and thermostability. The photocatalytic activity of the TiO2 particles was evaluated by decomposition of toluene in the gas phase. The activity of the TiO2 nanoparticles was higher than that of commercially available anatase fine particles, such as ST-01, which is one of the most active photocatalysts for degradation of organic compounds in the gas phase.  相似文献

In this paper the vibration and the traveling wave in a coupled magneto-elastic beam system are discussed experimentally. The vibration excited by the periodical forcing at the beam system propagates to another as a wave through the coupling elastic beams. Each magneto-elastic beam shows the variety of vibrations caused by the nonlinearity of the potential well and the wave propagation with time delay. Strong quenching of fluoroscence of pyrene by N,N-dimethylaniline as well as N,N-dimethylaniline sulfonate has been observed in aqueous micellar solutions. Thermal conductivity of glass is one of the fundamental properties of it. However, that has not been studied enough. That of only less than 20 compositions has been measured below the room temperature. In this study, we measured the thermal conductivity of xNa2O · (100 ? x)SiO2 and (33 ? y)Na2O · yCs2O · 67SiO2 glasses by a transient heating method in the temperature range from about 150 K to room temperature. The conductivity of xNa2O · (100 ? x)SiO2 is found to decrease with the increase in alkali content. The dominant factor of this behavior is the decrease in phonon mean free path, which is due to the increase of non-bridge oxygen. Thermal conductivity of (33 ? y)Cs2O · yNa2O · 67SiO2 is decreased with the increase in Cs2O/(Na2O + Cs2O) ratio. The dominant factor of this behavior is the decrease of sound velocity. However, composition dependence of the phonon mean free path also affects the thermal conductivity. Phonon mean free path of 33Cs2O · 67SiO2 glass is longer than that of 33Na2O · 67SiO2 glass, and should be related to the change in distribution of structural unit in glass. In addition, phonon mean free path of mixed alkali glasses are shorter than that of single alkali glasses.  相似文献

The experimental information on the observed nearly degenerate bands in the N = 75 isotones, in particular 134Pr and 136Pm, which are often considered as the best candidates for chiral bands, is critically analyzed. Most properties of the bands, in particular, the recently measured branching ratios and lifetimes, are in clear disagreement with the interpretation of the two bands as chiral bands. For I =14-18 in 134Pr, where the observed energies are almost degenerate, we have obtained a value of 2.0(4) for the ratio of the transition quadrupole moments of the two bands, which implies a considerable difference in the nuclear shape associated with the two bands. The insufficiency of the near-degeneracy criterion to trace nuclear chirality is emphasized.  相似文献
