The effects of the thermal history on enthalpy relaxation in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) have been studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The temperature dependence of specific heat capacity in the liquid and glassy states, that of relaxation time and the exponent of the Kohlrausch–Williams–Watts function have been obtained by the measurement of the response of heat flux to the sinusoidal temperature variation. The phenomenological model equation as an extension of linear rheology has been applied to enthalpy relaxation. The evolution of entropy under a given thermal history same as the experiment has been calculated and compared with the DSC results. The calculated results reproduce two peaks of specific heat capacity at lower and higher temperatures in the glass transition region: the former is characteristic of PMMA and the latter is observed in typical glassy polymers.  相似文献

Transesterification reactions of acyclic oligoether esters E3-E10 with metal alkoxides were accelerated upon noncovalent complexation of the esters with metal ions. In the reaction of monovalent alkaline metal alkoxides, CH(3)ONa and CH(3)OK, plots of the observed rate constants k(obs) with respect to the chain length of E3-E10 showed selective acceleration of the transesterification. Compared with the shortest E3, which can hardly bind metal ion, 4.3- and 6.6-fold accelerations in the maxima were achieved in the combinations of E5/CH(3)ONa and E6/CH(3)OK, respectively. Supramolecular intermediate complex could be spectrometrically visualized by ESI-FT-ICR-MS in the course of reaction. Kinetic experiments, together with structural analyses by means of NMR, mass spectrometry, and DFT calculations of the intermediate complexes, indicate that a size-fit complex of host substitute with alkali metal ion allows strong electron withdrawing due to the close contact of the carbonyl oxygen to the metal ion, resulting in the selective rate enhancement of the reaction, while in the reaction of E3-E10 with a divalent alkaline earth metal alkoxide, (CH(3)CH(2)O)(2)Ba, the k(obs) values increased stepwise with elongation of the side arm to attain an dramatic large acceleration. In comparison with the k(obs) of E3, 4610-fold acceleration was achieved in the reaction of E10. The double activation of the host substrate and guest counter nucleophile at once brings about this extraordinary rate acceleration. The strong wrapping complexation of long oligoether ester with barium ethoxide allows for the effective electron withdrawal from the ester carbonyl group (host activation) as well as separation of the accompanying guest alkoxide anions (guest activation).  相似文献

α-Quaternary ketones are accessed through novel enantioselective alkylations of allyl and propargyl electrophiles by unstabilized prochiral enolate nucleophiles in the presence of palladium complexes with various phosphinooxazoline (PHOX) ligands. Excellent yields and high enantiomeric excesses are obtained from three classes of enolate precursor: enol carbonates, enol silanes, and racemic β-ketoesters. Each of these substrate classes functions with nearly identical efficiency in terms of yield and enantioselectivity. Catalyst discovery and development, the optimization of reaction conditions, the exploration of reaction scope, and applications in target-directed synthesis are reported. Experimental observations suggest that these alkylation reactions occur through an unusual inner-sphere mechanism involving binding of the prochiral enolate nucleophile directly to the palladium center.  相似文献

A method is proposed for visualizing simply the concentrations of melanin, oxygenated blood, and deoxygenated blood in skin tissue using digital RGB images. The total blood concentration and oxygen saturation can also be reconstructed. Monte Carlo simulation of light transport specifies a relation between the chromophore concentrations and Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage XYZ, which are compatible with the common RGB working space. Experiments with a tissuelike agar gel phantom demonstrated the possibility of the method. In vivo imaging of a human hand during forearm occlusion demonstrated the ability of the method to evaluate hemodynamics of skin tissue.  相似文献

We report an extension of the smoothed profile method (SPM) (Y. Nakayama, K. Kim, and R. Yamamoto, Eur. Phys. J. E 26, 361 (2008)), a direct numerical simulation method for calculating the complex modulus of the dispersion of particles, in which we introduce a temporally oscillatory external force into the system. The validity of the method was examined by evaluating the storage G’(w \omega) and loss G”(w \omega) moduli of a system composed of identical spherical particles dispersed in an incompressible Newtonian host fluid at volume fractions of F \Phi = 0 , 0.41, 0.46, and 0.51. The moduli were evaluated at several frequencies of shear flow; the shear flow used here has a zigzag profile, as is consistent with the usual periodic boundary conditions. The simulation results were compared with several experiments for colloidal dispersions of spherical particles.  相似文献
