The phase behaviour of the thermotropic cubic mesogen 1,2-bis(4′-n-hexyloxybenzoyl)hydrazine [BABH(6)] was investigated under pressure up to about 55 MPa using a polarising optical microscope equipped with a high-pressure optical cell. BABH(6) shows the crystal (Cr)–cubic (Cub)–isotropic liquid (I) phase transition at ambient pressure on heating. The smectic C (SmC) phase was induced above 32 MPa, showing the unusual phase sequence of Cr–Cub–SmC–I, similar to those in BABH(n) (n = 8–10). The boundary between the Cub and SmC phases exhibited a negative slope dT/dP of about –1.0 ºC MPa?1. 相似文献

Crystallization behaviors of anatase nanocrystallites from an ultrathin two-dimensional reactant composed of exfoliated titania nanosheets have been studied by monitoring the heating process of their well-organized films, with which the film thickness can be controlled from a molecularly thin monolayer to a stacked multilayer structure with a stepwise increment of approximately 1 nm. The heated products were identified by means of total reflection fluorescence X-ray absorption near-edge structure analysis and in-plane X-ray diffraction measurements using a synchrotron radiation source. The films composed of five or more layers of stacked nanosheets were transformed into anatase at 400-500 degrees C, which is a normal crystallization temperature of anatase from bulk reactants. As the film became thinner by decreasing the number of nanosheet layers to five or less, the crystallization temperature was found to increase and finally reached 800 degrees C for the monolayer film. Interestingly, preferential growth of anatase along the c-axis was strongly promoted for these ultrathin films. These unusual behaviors may be understood in terms of crystallization from the two-dimensional system of scarcely distributed reactants. The titania nanosheet crystallite is much thinner than the unit cell dimensions of anatase, and therefore, extensive atomic diffusion is required for the transformation particularly for the ultrathin films with a critical number (2-3) of stacked nanosheet layers. There is some structural similarity between anatase and titania nanosheet, which may account for the oriented growth of anatase nanocrystallites. 相似文献

QSNPlite, a software system for quantitative analysis of SNPs based on capillary array SSCP analysis

We present a newly developed software called "QSNPlite" that comprehensively interprets the data of SSCP and sequencing analyses obtained from capillary array electrophoresis systems used in the quantitative characterization of SNPs. QSNPlite assists in the genotyping of individuals with SNPs and in estimating the allele frequencies of SNPs using pooled DNA. We show that this estimation is accurate (mean absolute error, 1.4%) by comparing the results of the pooled analysis using QSNPlite with the true frequencies based on the allele counting after performing individual genotypings. The QSNPlite program runs on Windows XP and can be used to determine the allele frequencies of SNPs among a large number of individuals, such as in association studies of disease-responsible genes using the candidate gene approach. 相似文献

Solid-phase luminescent catalyst immunoassay for human serum albumin with hemin as labeling catalyst
A solid-phase luminescent catalyst immunoassay is described for the determination of human serum albumin (HSA) in solution; hemin is used as a label which catalytically amplifies the sensitivity. The method is essentially a non-radioactive and non-enzymatic sandwich immunoassay. Anti-HSA antibody is covalently bound to a transparent plate, which then undergoes the immunochemical reaction with HSA in the test solution, and with the fixed amount of hemin-labeled anti-HSA antibody. After the two-step immunoreaction, the immunochemically-adsorbed hemin-antibody conjugate is quantified by means of the luminescence produced in a solution containing luminol and hydrogen peroxide. The luminescence intensity is correlated with the amount of HSA. The limit of detection for HSA is 1 ng ml-1. 相似文献

A series of molten salts EMIm(HF)nF's with different n values has been synthesized by the reaction of EMImHF(2) and anhydrous hydrogen fluoride. The salts contain EMIm cation and some oligomeric fluorohydrogenate anions, (HF)nF-, of which the fraction changes with the change of n. A phase diagram of EMIm(HF)nF's (n = 1.0-2.6) has been constructed which suggests the presence of the stoichiometric compounds, EMIm(HF)1.5F and EMIm(HF)2F, in this range. Compared to the EMIm(HF)2.3F previously reported, EMIm(HF)nF's (n = 1.8-2.0) possess wider liquid temperature ranges because of their similar melting points and superior thermal stabilities at elevated temperatures. The electrochemical windows of EMIm(HF)nF's (n = 1.0-2.6) falls in the range of 2.9-3.4 V. The conductivity of EMIm(HF)nF's (n = 1.0-2.6) increases with the increase of n. 相似文献

The preparation of palladium (Pd) films has been investigated using KrF or ArF laser irradiation on a Pd acetate (PdAc) coated substrate. A crystalline Pd film could be obtained by KrF laser irradiation (fluence = 15-40 mJ/cm2) but PdAc was found to remain in the film. An increase in the substrate temperature to 423 K decreased the inclusion of the unreacted precursor and produced a better crystallinity. An amorphous and uniform Pd film composed of very fine particles was found to be formed by this process under reduced pressure, which is probably due to the preferential ablation of the crystalline nuclei. ArF laser irradiation is more effective for decomposing the PdAc and for producing a Pd film with a better crystallinity and no (or smaller) organic inclusion. 相似文献
