This work considers an electrically conducting fluid filled between two concentric cylindrical walls relatively close to each other. A theoretical solution for the steady Taylor–Couette flow between these two electrically insulated rotating cylinders under the influence of a radial magnetic field is provided in this work. By solving the appropriate set of governing equations simultaneously, the profiles of fluid tangential velocity component and induced magnetic field were obtained as complicated functions involving the modified Bessel functions of the first and second kinds of the first-order in terms of radial coordinates and Hartmann number. A computational study was also performed to validate the present theoretical solution. The analytical and computational results are identical when Ha = 1 while these results only slightly deviate from each other as Ha increases. Current results show that, the presence of the external magnetic field causes the flow close to the slower cylinder to accelerate while that close to the faster cylinder to decelerate. This has clearly implied the fact that an external magnetic field tends to make the velocity distribution across the inner and outer cylinders more uniform. 相似文献

Although delays to non-critical activities within the float do not always affect the overall completion time of a project, they commonly cause disputes over the impact cost and apportionment resulting from the complexity of resource utilization in construction projects. Therefore, considerable attention has been focused on providing an effective and reliable method for analysing the effects of float loss. Several recent studies have proposed various methods; however, most of these methods are based on the assumption of a fixed duration for each activity or activity-based cost simulation. Few studies have considered the trade-off between time and costs and the integration of project resources. Using genetic algorithms, this study introduces a critical path method (CPM)-modified resource-integrated optimization model and successfully quantifies the impact of float loss on the total cost of the project. The results provide objective quantification for accurately evaluating the impact of within-float delays and facilitate the analysis of the impact of delay claims on cost and apportionment in construction projects. 相似文献

Naturally existing tritium in groundwater was applied as a tracer to evaluate the natural recharge of the Chingshui geothermal reservoir. The residence time (or, age) of Chingshui geothermal water was first determined with tritium data at 15.2 and 11.3 year using the plug flow and dispersive model, respectively. The annual natural recharge was then estimated by combining the use of the residence time and the fluid-in-place of the Chingshui geothermal reservoir. The natural recharge for Chingshui geothermal reservoir was estimated at 5.0 × 105 and 6.7 × 105 m3 year?1 using the plug flow and dispersive model, respectively. Chingshui geothermal water is largely from a fractured zone in the Jentse Member of the Miocene Lushan Formation. The dispersive model more adequately represents the fracture flow system than the simple plug flow model. 相似文献

This study used ultraviolet laser to perform the microcrystalline silicon thin film solar cell isolation scribing process, and applied the Taguchi method and an L18 orthogonal array to plan the experiment. The isolation scribing materials included ZnO:Al, AZO transparent conductive film with a thickness of 200 nm, microcrystalline silicon thin film at 38% crystallinity and of thickness of 500 nm, and the aluminum back contact layer with a thickness of 300 nm. The main objective was to ensure the success of isolation scribing. After laser scribing isolation, using the minimum scribing line width, the flattest trough bottom, and the minimum processing edge surface bumps as the quality characteristics, this study performed main effect analysis and applied the ANOVA (analysis of variance) theory of the Taguchi method to identify the single quality optimal parameter. It then employed the hierarchical structure of the AHP (analytic hierarchy process) theory to establish the positive contrast matrix. After consistency verification, global weight calculation, and priority sequencing, the optimal multi-attribute parameters were obtained. Finally, the experimental results were verified by a Taguchi confirmation experiment and confidence interval calculation. The minimum scribing line width of AZO (200 nm) was 45.6 μm, the minimum scribing line width of the microcrystalline silicon (at 38% crystallinity) was 50.63 μm and the minimum line width of the aluminum thin film (300 nm) was 30.96 μm. The confirmation experiment results were within the 95% confidence interval, verifying that using ultraviolet laser in the isolation scribing process for microcrystalline silicon thin film solar cell has high reproducibility. 相似文献

The main purpose of this article is to investigate the optimal wholesaler's replenishment decisions for deterioration items under two levels of the trade credit policy and two storage facilities in order to reflect the supply chain management situation within the economic order quantity framework. In this study, each of the following assumptions have been made: (1) The own warehouse with limited capacity always is not sufficient to store the order quantity, so that a rented warehouse is needed to store the excess units over the capacity of the own warehouse; (2) The wholesaler always obtains the partial trade credit, which is independent of the order quantity offered by the supplier, but the wholesaler offers the full trade credit to the retailer; (3) The wholesaler must take a loan to pay his or her supplier the partial payment immediately when the order is received and then pay off the loan with the entire revenue. Under these three conditions, the wholesaler can obtain the least costs. Furthermore, this study models the wholesaler's optimal replenishment decisions under the aforementioned conditions in the supply chain management. Two theorems are developed to efficiently determine the optimal replenishment decisions for the wholesaler. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the theorems that are proven in this study, and the sensitivity analysis with respect to the major parameters in this study is performed. A two‐dimensional (2D) carbon nanofilm with uniform artificial nanopores is an ideal material to ultimately suppress the fuel permeation in the proton exchange membrane fuel cells. Graphdiyne has great mechanical strength, high dimensional stability, and controllable nanopores, and has good prospects to play this crucial role. It is found that graphdiyne nanofilm with amino groups and natural nanopores can be easily prepared with high integrity. The aminated graphdiyne has good compatibility with the Nafion matrix owing to the acid–base interaction between them. The excellent comprehensive properties of graphdiyne in selectivity, dimensional stability, and integrity effectively improve the power performance and stability of fuel cells at wide temperature. Our results can be developed into a universal method that can easily realize the selective separation of ions and small molecules, and open a new way for the emerging applications in green energy. 相似文献

Balancing the rigidity of a π-conjugated structure for strong emission and the flexibility of liquid crystals for self-assembly is the key to realizing highly emissive liquid crystals (HELCs). Here we show that (1) integrating organization-induced emission into dual molecular cooperatively-assembled liquid crystals, (2) amplifying mesogens, and (3) elongating the spacer linking the emitter and the mesogen create advanced materials with desired thermal–optical properties. Impressively, assembling the fluorescent acceptor Nile red into its host donor designed according to the aforementioned strategies results in a temperature-controlled Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) system. Indeed, FRET exhibits strong S-curve dependence as temperature sweeps through the liquid crystal phase transformation. Such thermochromic materials, suitable for dynamic thermo-optical sensing and modulation, are anticipated to unlock new and smart approaches for controlling and directing light in stimuli-responsive devices.A temperature-sensitive Förster resonance energy transfer system was constructed using a highly emissive liquid crystal co-assembled with Nile red, enabling thermo-optical modulation for controlling and directing light in stimuli-responsive devices. 相似文献

Background
Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder associated with oxidative stress and glutathione depletion. The induction of cellular glutathione levels by exogenous molecules is a promising neuroprotective approach to limit the oxidative damage that characterizes Parkinson’s disease pathophysiology. Dithiolethiones, a class of sulfur-containing heterocyclic molecules, are known to increase cellular levels of glutathione; however, limited information is available regarding the influence of dithiolethione structure on activity. Herein, we report the design, synthesis, and pharmacological evaluation of a further series of dithiolethiones in the SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cell line.Results
Our structure–activity relationships data show that dithiolethione electronic properties, given as Hammett σp constants, influence glutathione induction activity and compound toxicity. The most active glutathione inducer identified, 6a, dose-dependently protected cells from 6-hydroxydopamine toxicity. Furthermore, the protective effects of 6a were abrogated by the inhibitor of glutathione synthesis, buthionine sulfoximine, confirming the importance of glutathione in the protective activities of 6a.Conclusions
The results of this study further delineate the relationship between dithiolethione chemical structure and glutathione induction. The neuroprotective properties of analog 6a suggest a role for dithiolethiones as potential antiparkinsonian agents.109.

Complex fac‐[Fe(CO)3(TePh)3]? was employed as a “metallo chelating” ligand to synthesize the neutral (CO)3Mn(μ‐TePh)3Fe(CO)3 obtained in a one‐step synthesis by treating fac‐[Fe(CO)3(TePh)3]? with fac‐[Mn‐(CO)3(CH3CN)3]+. It seems reasonable to conclude that the d6 Fe(II) [(CO)3Fe(TePh)3]? fragment is isolobal with the d6 Mn(I) [(CO)3Mn(TePh)3]2? fragment in complex (CO)3Mn(μ‐TePh)3Fe(CO)3. Addition of fac‐[Fe(CO)3(TePh)3]? to the CpNi(I)(PPh3) in THF resulted in formation of the neutral CpNi(TePh)(PPh3) also obtained from reaction of CpNi(I)(PPh3) and [Na][TePh] in MeOH. This investigation shows that fac‐[Fe(CO)3(TePh)3]? serves as a tridentate metallo ligand and tellurolate ligand‐transfer reagent. The study also indicated that the fac‐[Fe(CO)3(SePh)3]? may serve as a better tridentate metallo ligand and chalcogenolate ligand‐transfer reagent than fac‐[Fe(CO)3(TePh)3]? in the syntheses of heterometallic chalcogenolate complexes. 相似文献

The anionic syn-/ anti-[Fe(mu-SEt)(NO) 2] 2 (-) ( 2a) were synthesized and characterized by IR, UV-vis, EPR, and X-ray diffraction. The geometry of the [Fe(mu-S) 2Fe] core is rearranged in going from [{Fe(NO) 2} (9)-{Fe(NO) 2} (9)] Roussin's red ester [Fe(mu-SEt)(NO) 2] 2 ( 1a) (Fe...Fe distance of 2.7080(5) A) to the [{Fe(NO) 2} (9)-{Fe(NO) 2} (10)] complex 2a (Fe...Fe distance of 2.8413(6) A) to minimize the degree of Fe...Fe interaction to stabilize complex 2a. On the basis of X-ray absorption (Fe K- and L-edge), EPR and SQUID, complex 2a is best described as the anionic [{Fe(NO) 2} (9)-{Fe(NO) 2} (10)] Roussin's red ester with the fully delocalized mixed-valence core. The complete bridged-thiolate cleavage yielded DNIC [(EtS) 2Fe(NO) 2] (-) ( 3a) in the reaction of 2 equiv of [EtS] (-) and complex 1a, whereas reaction of 2 equiv of [(t)BuS] (-) with [Fe(micro-S (t)Bu)(NO) 2] 2 (1b) gave DNIC [((t)BuS) 2Fe(NO) 2] (-) (3b) and the anionic Roussin's red ester [Fe(mu-S (t)Bu)(NO) 2] 2 (-) (2b) through bridged-thiolate cleavage in combination with reduction. In contrast to the inertness of DNIC 3b toward complex 1b, nucleophile DNIC 3a induces the reduction of complex 1a to produce the anionic Roussin's red ester 2a. Interestingly, dissolution of complex 3a in MeOH at 298 K finally led to the formation of a mixture of complexes 2a and 3a, in contrast to the dynamic equilibrium of complexes 3b and 1b observed in dissolution of complex 3b in MeOH. These results illustrate the aspect of how the steric structures of nucleophiles ([EtS] (-) vs [ (t)BuS] (-) and [(EtS) 2Fe(NO)2](-) vs [((t)BuS) 2Fe(NO)2] (-)) function to determine the reaction products. 相似文献
