We present a new fabrication method, called two-step ultraviolet exposure, to prepare anisotropic gratings in photocrosslinkable polymer liquid crystal films. Using the controllability of the reorientation direction of mesogenic molecules, anisotropic phase gratings, in which the mesogenic molecules were periodically modulated in orthogonal directions, were prepared by the use of one grating photomask. The resultant gratings diffract the light and convert the polarization states at the same time, and have applications as diffraction optical devices. The wave dispersion relation in a two-dimensional strongly coupled plasma crystal is studied by theoretical analysis and molecular dynamics simulation taking into account a constant magnetic field parallel to the crystal normal. The expression for the wave dispersion relation clearly shows that high-frequency and low-frequency branches exist as a result of the coupling of longitudinal and transverse modes due to the Lorenz force acting on the dust particles. The high-frequency and the low-frequency branches are found to belong to right-hand and left-hand polarized waves, respectively.  相似文献

A new data extrapolation method for boundary element method (BEM)-based near-field acoustical holography (NAH) is proposed to reduce an error of the reconstructed result obtained from the pressure measured on an aperture small compared with the structure. The finiteness of the measurement aperture is a serious impediment to actual large-scale implementation of NAH, because NAH requires the measurement of the pressure field over a complete surface of structure. To eliminate the requirement, the wave number-space data extrapolation method for fast Fourier transform (FFT)-based NAH has been proposed. In this paper, the extension of this data extrapolation method to BEM-based NAH is presented. The effectiveness of this method is demonstrated by experiments. The experiment results confirm that the reconstruction error is sufficiently suppressed by the proposed method.  相似文献

Raman measurements in the 1.5-20 cm(-1) energy range were performed on single crystals of Sr14-xCaxCu24O41. A quasielastic scattering peak (QEP) which softens with cooling is observed only in the polarization parallel to the ladder direction for samples with x=0, 8, and 12. The QEP is a Raman fingerprint of pinned collective density wave excitations screened by uncondensed carriers in the ladder structures. Our results suggest that transport in metallic samples, which is similar to transport in underdoped high-T(c) cuprates, is driven by a collective electronic response.  相似文献

Polyacrylamides (PAAms) were investigated as hydrophilic selectors in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis (CE). Separation of 10 substituted benzoates and unsubstituted benzoate as model samples was greatly improved by the addition of PAAms in acetonitrile-CE. The migration behavior indicates that the carbonyl moiety of PAAms works as a good hydrogen-accepting site toward hydrogen-donating analytes such as 4-hydroxybenzoate anion (4OH-BA) in acetonitrile. PAAms also serve as electron-accepting agents with its amide proton interacting with the dissociated carboxyl groups of the benzoates. The ion-dipole interaction is useful to control the migration behavior of benzoates without hydrogen-donating substituents. The overall mode of the interaction is similar to that of polyethylene glycol (PEG) 20000 reported previously, but the complex formation constant of poly(N-tert.-butyl)acrylamide (PBAAm) with 40H-BA estimated here was 130-fold larger than that of PEG 20000. This would be ascribed to the strong basicity of the carbonyl oxygen atoms of PBAAm as compared with the ether oxygen atoms of PEG. Furthermore, a copolymer of (N-tert.-butyl)acrylamide-acrylamide [70:30 (in feed)] exhibited a complex formation constant of about fourfold larger toward 4OH-BA than PBAAm, most probably due to decrease in steric hindrance from the tert.-butyl groups. Adrenaline and its six precursors have been separated successfully using the PAAms.  相似文献

A transverse optical plasma mode is observed at far-infrared frequencies within the superconducting gap region by measuring the c-axis optical reflectivity for single crystals of T* cuprate superconductors SmLa0.85Sr0.15CuO4-delta and Nd1.4Sr0.4Ce0.2CuO4-delta. These T* cuprates have two different insulating layers sandwiching the superconducting CuO2 planes, leading to two longitudinal plasmons. Also, the transverse mode is directly observed due to the coupling of the infrared radiation with the current perpendicular to the superconducting layers which are regarded as an alternating array of two inequivalent Josephson junctions.  相似文献
