A device that produces a low-energy and largely spin polarized RI beam based on the atomic beam resonance method (RIABR) has been developed. We have performed measurements of stopping and drifting an incoming RI ion beam in a gas chamber, extraction of the ions into a vacuum region, and neutralization of the extracted low-energy ion beam. The drift efficiency of RI ions in a gas and the extraction efficiency at a Laval-type glass nozzle were found to be 0.72±0.04 and 0.033, respectively. The result of the experiment for the neutralization is also discussed.  相似文献

Various carboxylic acids were directly transformed into the corresponding ketones by utilizing organozinc ate complexes, which provide high chemoselectivity without any overreaction to the undesired tertiary carbinol, owing to formation of a stable tetrahedral zincioketal intermediate. V-ATPase from Enterococcus hirae forms a large supramolecular protein complex (total molecular weight ~700,000) and physiologically transports Na(+) and Li(+) across a hydrophobic lipid bilayer. Stabilization of these cations in the binding site has been discussed on the basis of X-ray crystal structures of a membrane-embedded domain, the K-ring (Na(+)- and Li(+)-bound forms). Here, sodium or lithium ion-binding-induced difference IR spectra of the intact V-ATPase have for the first time been measured at physiological temperature under a sufficient amount of hydration. The results suggest that sodium or lithium ion binding induces the deprotonation of Glu139, a hydrogen-bonding change in the tyrosine residue, and a small conformational change in the K-ring. These structural changes, especially the deprotonation of Glu139, are considered to be important for reducing energetic barriers to the transport of cations through the membrane.  相似文献

In a clinical diagnosis microbiology laboratory, the current method of identifying bacterial isolates is based mainly on phenotypic characteristics, for example growth pattern on different media, colony morphology, Gram stain, and various biochemical reactions. These techniques collectively enable great accuracy in identifying most bacterial isolates, but are costly and time-consuming. In our clinical microbiology laboratory, we prospectively assessed the ability of matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization–time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI–TOF MS) to identify bacterial strains that were routinely isolated from clinical samples. Bacterial colonies obtained from a total of 468 strains of 92 bacterial species isolated at the Department of Clinical Laboratory at Chiba University were directly placed on target MALDI plates followed by addition of CHCA matrix solution. The plates were then subjected to MALDI–TOF MS measurement and the microorganisms were identified by pattern matching with the libraries in the BioTyper 2.0 software. Identification success at the species and genus levels was 91.7% (429/468) and 97.0% (454/468), respectively. MALDI–TOF MS is a rapid, simple, and high-throughput proteomic technique for identification of a variety of bacterial species. Because colony-to-colony differences and effects of culture duration on the results are minimal, it can be implemented in a conventional laboratory setting. Although for some pathogens, preanalytical processes should be refined, and the current database should be improved to obtain more accurate results, the MALDI–TOF MS based method performs, in general, as well as conventional methods and is a promising technology in clinical laboratories.  相似文献

Orthorhombic perovskites RMnO(3) are representative of spin-driven ferroelectrics. When the radius of the rare-earth ion R is smaller than that of Dy, for instance in YMnO(3), the orthorhombic phase becomes metastable at ambient pressure, which impedes the crystal growth; thus, the detailed magnetic and multiferroic properties of the metastable phase have not been characterized. In this work, we successfully obtained single crystals of orthorhombic YMnO(3) using quasi-hydrothermal conditions under a high pressure of 5.5 GPa. Magnetic and dielectric measurements under magnetic fields revealed that the magnetic ground state is the commensurate E-type antiferromagnetic, while a cycloidal spin phase likely coexists in the intermediate temperature range, which enhances the magnetoelectric response to external fields.  相似文献

Mono- and di-nuclear tricarbonyl Re(I) tetraazaporphyrin complexes ( Re1TAP and Re2TAP ) are investigated and compared with Re(I) phthalocyanine complexes ( Re1Pc and Re2Pc ). Although Re2Pc is unstable in polar solvents, and easily undergoes demetallation reaction, the coordination of the TAP ligand significantly improves the tolerance toward polar solvents, affording more stability to Re2TAP . Additionally, the incorporation of [Re(CO)3]+ unit(s) and the TAP ligand results in remarkable positive shifts in both oxidation and reduction potentials. Consequently, the more positive oxidation potentials of the ReTAP complexes significantly increase the tolerance toward oxidation, while the reduction potential indicates that Re2TAP is suitable for a soluble electron acceptor. In contrast to Re1Pc and Re2Pc , Re1TAP and Re2TAP show unique broad Q bands, which can be attributed to the admixture of the π-π* and metal-to-ligand charge transfer characters, owing to the lowered π orbital energy in the TAP complexes. This study is useful for controlling electronic properties and realizing high stability in Pc analogues.  相似文献

Cage-opened bisfulleroids are one of suitable building blocks for making a large hole on fullerenes. This work focuses on the Diels-Alder reaction of C60 with azines, among synthetic methods developed thus far, to provide bisfulleroids. Surprisingly, the computational study predicted that the reaction proceeds with normal electron demand in contrast to hitherto considered inverse-electron-demand pathway. The benzoannulation to the pyridazine ring, i. e., phthalazine, resulted in the remarkably shortened reaction time due to the better interaction between the HOMO of phthalazine and the LUMO of C60 as well as stronger 2,3-diaza-1,3-butadiene character in the phthalazine as confirmed crystallographically. Contrary to expectations, the benzobisfulleroid was converted into corresponding orifice-enlarged derivative via the photooxygenation slightly faster than the fulleroid derived from pyridazine.  相似文献

A continuous flow reactor was operated at atmospheric pressure and feed rate of 0–1.5 kg h−1 for degradation of PE, PP and PS in presence of 1–2 wt% PVC. The degradation temperatures were between 360 and 440 °C depending on the feeding material. The influence of PVC, temperature and silica-alumina catalysts on degradation behavior and on the properties of the products was studied and discussed. Different effects were observed for binary PE/PVC, PP/PVC, PS/PVC and complex PE/PP/PS/PVC mixtures due to specific interactions between PVC and each hydrocarbon polyolefin. Silica-alumina catalysts decreased the Cl concentration in oils but it seems to generate high amounts of Cl-containing organic compounds in gases.  相似文献
