Abstract Recycling of waste glasses has been conducted by a hydrothermal hot-pressing method to produce high density compacts. Our research was focussed on the intluence of various reaction variables (temperature, time, water content and loading pressure) during compaction of several types of waste glasses. The compaction of all glasses starts around 120°C and proceeds rapidly with increasing temperature. Under hydrothermal hot pressing conditions, the compaction of the waste glass is most strongly controlled by temperature and water content, and affected to a lesser degree by reaction time and loading pressure. A maximum tensile strength of 65 MPa was obtained for ‘blue’ glass at 200°C, 10wt% water content, after applying 60 MPa loading pressure for 2 hours. 相似文献

An exclusive measurement has been made of the Coulomb dissociation of the two-neutron halo nucleus 11Li at 70 MeV/nucleon at RIKEN. Strong low-energy (soft) E1 excitation is observed, peaked at about Ex = 0.6 MeV with B(E1) = 1.42(18) e2fm2 for Erel < or = 3 MeV, which was largely missed in previous measurements. This excitation represents the strongest E1 transition ever observed at such low excitation energies. The spectrum is reproduced well by a three-body model with a strong two-neutron correlation, which is further supported by the E1 non-energy-weighted cluster sum rule. 相似文献

We investigate a superconducting Kosterlitz–Thouless transition in the two-dimensional (2D) Hubbard model using auxiliary quantum Monte Carlo method for the ground state. The pair susceptibility is computed for both the attractive and repulsive Hubbard model. The numerical results show that the s-wave pair susceptibility scales as χ L2 for the attractive case, in agreement with previous quantum Monte Carlo studies. The scaling χ L2 also holds for the d-wave pair susceptibility for the repulsive Hubbard model if we adjust the band parameter t′. 相似文献

We investigate multi-component superconductors, in relation to iron pnictides, by using the Ginzburg–Landau theory. We show that a three-band superconductor exhibits several significant properties that are not found in single-band or two-band superconductors. The frustrating pairing interaction among Fermi surfaces may lead to a time-reversal symmetry broken pairing state. In fact, we have a solution with time-reversal symmetry breaking, that is, a chiral solution when there is such a frustration. The Ginzburg–Landau equation for three-component superconductors leads to a double sine-Gordon equation. A kink solution exists to this equation that results in the existence of fractional-quantum flux vortices on the domain wall. 相似文献

Using a five-part vocal figure and standard fiberoptic techniques, we have analyzed the laryngeal functions of a group of professional singers and have made five observations occurring during high-intensity phonation that contradict the accepted physiologic functioning of the larynx. We have analyzed these contradictions as they relate to the three endolaryngeal sphincters; this was accomplished by the development of a four-component vocal protocol to examine the changes in these laryngeal structures and the degree of independent control of each of these structures possible in this group of specialized subjects. We have attempted to explain our findings based on available data relating to the functions of the intrinsic and extrinsic laryngeal musculature (including the cricothyroideus muscle) and the neurologic mechanisms involved. The coherence coefficient defined by the so-called zero-delayed correlations for two sine functions can be given as a function of the phase difference only. Consequently, some acoustic responses resulting from the phase synthesis are capable of being analysed making use of this characteristic of the coherence coefficient.The measuring system based on the definition of coherence coefficient and some examples applying the system to acoustic measurement are discussed in this paper.
