An improved On-Surface Radiation Condition for acoustic scattering problems in the high-frequency spectrum

This Note addresses the derivation of an improved On-Surface Radiation Condition for the numerical solution of the exterior Helmholtz equation at high-frequencies. This condition is built as an approximation of the Neumann-to-Dirichlet map by using a local regularization of its principal classical symbol in the gliding zone for modelling the creeping waves. The numerical simulation of this pseudodifferential operator is efficiently realized with a linear cost according to the dimension of the boundary element approximation space using suitable complex Padé approximants. A non‐linear and non‐local boundary condition for a diffusion equation in petroleum engineering

This article deals with a boundary value problem for Laplace equation with a non‐linear and non‐local boundary condition. This problem comes from petroleum engineering and is used to obtain an estimation of well productivity. The non‐linear and non‐local boundary condition is written on the well boundary. On the outer reservoir boundaries, we have both Dirichlet and Neumann conditions. In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a solution to this problem. The existence is proved by Schauder theorem and the uniqueness is obtained under more restricted conditions, when the involved operator is a contraction. Study on the Reaction of Benzimidazolium Salt with Amine Compounds

The addition-hydrolysis reaction of benzimidazolium salt with some mono- and bifunctional amine nucleophiles is reported,and a novel method of biomimetic synthesis for formamides and heterocycle compounds is provided.     

温度对PSⅡCP4 7/D1/D2/Cytb559复合物荧光光谱特性的影响

采用激励光源为514.5 nm的分幅扫描单光子计数荧光光谱装置对经20℃、42℃和48℃不同温度处理后的反应中心复合物CP47/D₁/D₂/Cyt b559的荧光光谱特性进行了研究.经解析,获得不同温度处理后,CP47/D₁/D₂/Cyt b559复合物最大峰值未发生变化,均在682 nm,说明Chla670的能量都由Chla682接收,但损耗愈来愈小,在48℃时,损耗程度最小,而其荧光百分比未发生多大变化.振动副带～700 nm和～740 nm的中心波长都发生蓝移,在不同温度下分别为:20℃ 703 nm,749 nm;42℃ 697 nm,744 nm;48℃ 694 nm,740 nm.因此可以推测温度的升高,影响了CP47/D₁/D₂/Cyt b559色素蛋白的二级结构以及色素分子的空间位置,使最大峰值处的荧光强度逐渐降低,振动副带逐渐蓝移.42℃的温度已造成影响,48℃影响较大.     

Living/controlled radical copolymerization of N‐substituted maleimides with styrene in 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate and anisole

The atom transfer radical copolymerization of N‐substituted maleimides such as N‐phenylmaleimide (PhMI), N‐cyclohexylmaleimide (ChMI), and N‐butylmaleimide (NBMI) with styrene initiated with dendritic polyarylether 2‐bromoisobutyrates in an ionic liquid, 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF₆]), at room temperature and anisole at 110 °C was investigated. The dendritic‐linear block copolymers obtained in ionic liquid possessed well‐defined molecular weight and low polydispersity (1.05 < M_w/M_n < 1.32) and could be used as a macroinitiator for chain‐extension polymerization, suggesting the living nature of the reaction system. The ionic liquids containing catalyst could be recycled in the atom transfer radical polymerization systems without further treatment. Compared with polymerization conducted in anisole, the polymerization in ionic liquid had a stronger tendency for alternation. The tendency for alternation decreased in the order PhMI > NBMI > ChMI in [bmim][PF₆] and PhMI > ChMI > NBMI in anisole. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Comment on: “Confined states in two-dimensional flat elliptic quantum dots and elliptic quantum wires” [Physica E 11 (2001) 345]

We argue that the two-dimensional elliptic quantum dot problem with finite barrier cannot be exactly solved, contrary to a recent assertion (van den Broek and Peeters, Physica E 11 (2001) 345. We also prove it explicitly by numerically calculating the correct energy spectrum.     

Isolation and On‐Line LC/CD Analysis of 3,8″‐Linked Biflavonoids from Gnidia involucrata

Investigation of the methanol extract of the roots of Gnidia involucrata (Thymelaeaceae) led to the isolation and characterization of two new 3,8″‐biflavonoid diastereoisomers, named GB‐4 ( 6a ) and GB‐4a ( 6b ). Their absolute configurations were determined in mixture by on‐line LC/CD measurements, which also allowed the revision of absolute configurations of the biflavanoids GB‐1 and GB‐2, and the configurational assignment of GB‐3.
