A modular internal micro-electrolysis Fenton reactor (MIME-Fenton) was specifically designed in order to facilitate the performance of internal micro-electrolysis (IME) technology in the treatment of mature landfill leachate. Excellent COD removal efficiency of 90.9 % by the new reactor of mature landfill leachate was observed in bench-scale treatment, which is 193–399, 415–551, and 226–457 % higher than that of conventional treatments of electrolysis, coagulation–sedimentation, and Fenton, respectively. The innovative concept behind the excellent performance is the novel two-step treatment, similar to the anaerobic–aerobic activated sludge method. It is based on a combination effect of reductive IME and oxidative IME with aeration processes and the integration of electro-aggregation and electro-coagulation. Initial pH and air flow rate were optimized, and the effect of auxiliary in situ regeneration of ferrous iron and generation of H2O2 was further investigated. The reactor was also particularly efficient in removal of color and HA, and in improvement of the BOD5/COD ratio. All these results show that the MIME-Fenton reactor, a new approach of IME, is promising for mature landfill leachate treatment because it is efficient and easy to operate. 相似文献

The leafhopper Psammotettix striatus (L.) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), is one of the most significant economic pests of wheat in Western China. This insect vectors a phytoplasma that causes wheat blue dwarf (WBD), a severe disease limiting wheat production in the Western China. A microscopic analysis of the ultrastructure of the mouthparts of the adult was conducted using scanning electron microscopy and the putative functions of the mouthparts were determined. The piercing-sucking mouthparts of P. striatus are of the conventional type comprising a three-segmented labium with a deep groove in the anterior side, a stylet fascicle consisting of two mandibular and two maxillary stylets, and an uppermost small cone-shaped labrum. The mandibular stylets, located laterad of the maxillary stylets, have sculpture on their tips, which may function in tearing plant tissue, cutting channels into the plant tissues, and attaching the body to the host plant during molting. The maxillary stylets are interlocked to form two separate compartments, a larger food canal and a smaller salivary canal. Two dendritic canals are also found in each maxilla and one in each mandible. Four kinds of sensilla were found on the labium: s. trichodea I, s. trichodea II, s. basiconic I, s. basiconic II. We report the development of ultraviolet filtered Rayleigh scattering as a diagnostic tool for measurements of gas properties. A frequency-tripled narrow-linewidth Ti:sapphire laser illuminates a sample, and Rayleigh scattered light is imaged through a mercury-vapor absorption filter. Working in the ultraviolet improves the signal-to-noise ratio compared with that previously obtained in the visible as the result of an enhanced scattering cross section as well as the nearly ideal properties of the mercury filter. Tuning the laser through the absorption notch of the filter is a means of probing the scattering line shape, which contains temperature information. Temperature measurements of air are shown to have uncertainties of less than 3%. 相似文献

A modified pulsed laser deposition process was used to enhance the nanostructure generation inside Bi2Te3 nanocrystals. In this process, an additional femotosecond laser beam was used to add an energy shock on the ablated flume, which can result in rich nanostructures embedded inside Bi2Te3 nanocrystals. A large Si wafer was used to ‘freeze’ such nanostructures and to effectively collect such nanostructured nanocrystals for further processing. The generated nanocrystals were studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning transmission electron microscopy, and the results prove the existence of such embedded nanostructures.
