Glycans arrayed on the exterior of virus particles were used as substrates for glycosyltransferase reactions to build di- and trisaccharides from the virus surface. The resulting particles exhibited tight and specific associations with cognate receptors on beads and cells, in one example defeating in cis cell-surface interactions in a manner characteristic of polyvalent binding. Combined with the ability of viruses to provide structurally well-defined attachment points, the methodology provides a convenient and powerful way to prepare complex carbohydrate ligands for clustered receptors. 相似文献

The Car S1 → Chl energy transfer efficiency, ΦTransfer, in xanthophyll-cycle mutants of living plants and LHC II was investigated by selective Car S1 two-photon excitation. Before high-light illumination ΦTransfer, of the violaxanthin deficient mutant npq2 is 30% smaller than the corresponding value for wild type plants. For the zeaxanthin deficient mutant, npq1, ΦTransfer is 30% larger. Wild type Arabidopsis thaliana is the only variant which is capable of a light-dependent decrease of up to 40% and complete recovery to the original ΦTransfer values. In contrast, ΦTransfer remains constant during dark adaptation in both mutants. Surprisingly, changes in ΦTransfer of LHC II preparations were less than 5% only, when substituting violaxanthin by zeaxanthin. 相似文献

Four new heterometallic coordination polymers have been successfully synthesized, namely, {[Ho(2)(HCAM)(6)Mn(3)(H(2)O)(12)].17.5H(2)O}(n) (1), {[Er(2)(HCAM)(6)Mn(3)(H(2)O)(12)].17.5H(2)O}(n) (2), {[Ho(2)(HCAM)(6)Zn(3)(H(2)O)(12)].26H(2)O}(n) (3), and {[Er(2)(HCAM)(6)Zn(3)(H(2)O)(12)].26H(2)O}(n) (4) (H(3)CAM = chelidamic acid). X-ray crystallographic studies reveal that coordination polymers 1-4 are isostructural and crystallized in the rhombohedral crystal system, space group R3. These compounds comprise a 2D honeycomb-type framework. A 2D water sheet is first found in 3 and 4, which exhibits a novel topological motif. The magnetic results for 1-4 show that ferromagnetic interactions take place between the Ho(3+)/Er(3+) and Mn(2+) ions within 1 and 2. 相似文献

We used a carbon paste electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes as a working electrode and studied the electrochemical
behavior of zirconium-alizarin red S complex on it. It was found that the modified electrode exhibited a significant catalytic
effect toward the reduction of free alizarin red S and the complex. The second derivative linear scan voltammograms of the
complex were recorded by a polarographic analyser from 0 to −1000 mV (vs. SCE), and it was found that the complex can be adsorbed
on the surface of the modified electrode, yielding a peak at about −470 mV, corresponding to the reduction of alizarin red
S in the complex. The linear range was found to be 2.0 × 10−11–8.0 × 10−7 mol L−1, and the detection limit was 1.0 × 10−11 mol L−1 (S/N = 3) for 3 min accumulation. The procedure was successfully applied to the determination of trace amounts of zirconium in
the ore samples.

Central airway stenosis is a condition that the diameter of the trachea or main bronchus shrinkage is caused by external compression or internal tissue hyperplasia, which can cause difficulty breathing, asphyxia, and even death. Airway stenting is an easy way to restore the patency of the central airway, but airway stents commonly used in clinical practice can lead to complications such as mucus plugging, bacterial infection, and granulation tissue hyperplasia. Moreover, the non-degradable characteristic makes it requires a second operation to remove, which has the potential to cause tissue damage. In this study, a biodegradable airway stent is fabricated by microinjection molding using the bioelastomer of poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) as the matrix material. The airway stent has excellent mechanical properties and an appropriate degradation rate. The hydrophilic surface of the airway stent can inhibit mucus plugging. The loading of silver nanoparticles and cisplatin endows the stent with antibacterial and anti-hyperplastic functions. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that this study provides an antibacterial and anti-hyperplastic biodegradable airway stent with elastic properties to avoid secondary removal operation and reduce complications associated with mucus plugging, bacterial infection, and granulation tissue hyperplasia. 相似文献

Bionic acoustic sensors are an indispensable part to realize interactions between humans and robotics. In this work, a PVDF-TrFE sensor array with multiple active pixels combined with a 3D-printed bionic ear model is prepared, which can accurately detect sounds with different frequencies and locate the sound source from different directions. The PVDF-TrFE sensor array can clearly identify the sound within 25 cm, and the error between the accepted sound frequency and the original input frequency is less than 0.001%. Through the algorithm analysis of the input signal, the location of the sound source can be immediately analyzed. Compared with other acoustic sensors, this sensor has the advantages of being self-powered, small size, and high flexibility, which holds great potential for bionic applications. 相似文献

The inhibition of tyrosinase is considered to be a common therapeutic strategy for some hyperpigmentation disorders. Screening of tyrosinase inhibitors is of great significance to the treatment of pigmentation diseases. In this study, tyrosinase was covalently immobilized on magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes for the first time, and the immobilized tyrosinase was applied for ligand fishing of tyrosinase inhibitors from complex medicinal plants. The immobilized tyrosinase was characterized by transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry, and thermo-gravimetric analyzer, which indicated that tyrosinase was immobilized onto magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The immobilized tyrosinase showed better thermal stability and reusability than the free one. The ligand was fished out from Radix Paeoniae Alba and identified as 1,2,3,4,6-pentagalloylglucose by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight high-resolution mass spectrometry. 1,2,3,4,6-pentagalloylglucose was found to be a tyrosinase inhibitor with similar half maximal inhibitory concentration values of 57.13 ± 0.91 μM compared to kojic acid (41.96 ± 0.78 μM). This work not only established a new method for screening tyrosinase inhibitors but also holds considerable potential for exploring the new medicinal value of medicinal plants. 相似文献
