Geopolymeric adsorbents from fly ash for dye removal from aqueous solution   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
Adsorbents from coal fly ash treated by a solid-state fusion method using NaOH were prepared. It was found that amorphous aluminosilicate geopolymers would be formed. These fly ash-derived inorganic polymers were assessed as potential adsorbents for removal of some basic dyes, methylene blue and crystal violet, from aqueous solution. It was found that the adsorption capacity of the synthesised adsorbents depends on the preparation conditions such as NaOH:fly-ash ratio and fusion temperature with the optimal conditions being at 1.2:1 weight ratio of Na:fly-ash at 250-350 degrees C. The synthesised materials exhibit much higher adsorption capacity than fly ash itself and natural zeolite. The adsorption isotherm can be fitted by Langmuir and Freundlich models while the two-site Langmuir model producing the best results. It was also found that the fly ash derived geopolymeric adsorbents show higher adsorption capacity for crystal violet than methylene blue and the adsorption temperature influences the adsorption capacity. Kinetic studies show that the adsorption process follows the pseudo second-order kinetics.  相似文献

The impact of hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) on the separation of ds-DNA by capillary electrophoresis in conjunction with laser-induced fluorescence (CE-LIF) detection using poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) solution is described. The use of CTAB for improved separation reproducibility and efficiency of DNA has not been demonstrated although it is widely used for controlling the magnitude and direction of electroosmotic flow in CE. With increasing CTAB concentration, the interactions of DNA with ethidium bromide (EtBr) and with the capillary wall decrease. For the separation of DNA fragments with the sizes ranging from several base pairs (bp) to 2,176 bp, a polymer solution consisting of 0.75% poly(ethylene oxide), 100 mM TB buffer (pH 8.0), 25 microg/mL EtBr, and 0.36 microg/mL CTAB is proper. Using the PEO solution, we separated a mixture of DNA markers V (pBR 322/HaeIII digest) and VI (pBR 328/BglI digest and pBR 328/HinfI digest) within 8 min at -375 V/cm, with the limit of detection of 2.0 ng/mL based on the peak height for the 18-bp DNA fragment. The method is highly efficient (>10(6)plate/m), repeatable (RSD of the migration times <1.5%), and sensitive. In addition, it is convenient to fill a capillary (75 microm in diameter) with such a low-viscosity PEO solution by syringe pushing.  相似文献

Microbial transformation of 20(R)-panaxatriol by the fungus Aspergillus flavus Link AS 3.3950 was performed. Four new (14), along with two previously reported metabolites (5 and 6), were obtained. Their chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses. Furthermore, the inhibitory effects of those compounds on K562/ADR, Du-145, Hela, MCF-7 and HepG2 cell lines were evaluated by MTT assay. Among them, compound 15β-hydroxy-20(R)-panaxatriol (4) exhibited selective inhibitory effects on human leukaemic progenitor cells K562/ADR through arresting cell cycle, which was associated with obvious decrease of cyclin B1, cyclin D1 and cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 1/2/4/6 protein expression.  相似文献

Fluorophores and probes are invaluable for the visualization of the location and dynamics of gene expression, protein expression, and molecular interactions in complex living systems. Rhodamine dyes are often used as scaffolds in biological labeling and turn‐on fluorescence imaging. To date, their absorption and emission spectra have been expanded to cover the entire near‐infrared region (650–950 nm), which provides a more suitable optical window for monitoring biomolecular production, trafficking, and localization in real time. This review summarizes the development of rhodamine fluorophores since their discovery and provides strategies for modulating their absorption and emission spectra to generate specific bathochromic‐shifts. We also explain how larger Stokes shifts and dual‐emissions can be obtained from hybrid rhodamine dyes. These hybrid fluorophores can be classified into various categories based on structural features including the alkylation of amidogens, the substitution of the O atom of xanthene, and hybridization with other fluorophores.  相似文献

The construction of stable covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for various applications is highly desirable. Herein, we report the synthesis of a novel two‐dimensional (2D) porphyrin‐based sp2 carbon‐conjugated COF (Por‐sp2c‐COF), which adopts an eclipsed AA stacking structure with a Brunauer—Emmett—Teller surface area of 689 m2 g?1. Owing to the C=C linkages, Por‐sp2c‐COF shows a high chemical stability under various conditions, even under harsh conditions such as 9 m HCl and 9 m NaOH solutions. Interestingly, Por‐sp2c‐COF can be used as a metal‐free heterogeneous photocatalyst for the visible‐light‐induced aerobic oxidation of amines to imines. More importantly, in comparison to imine‐linked Por‐COF, the inherent structure of Por‐sp2c‐COF equips it with several advantages as a photocatalyst, including reusability and high photocatalytic performance. This clearly demonstrates that sp2 carbon‐linked 2D COFs can provide an interesting platform for heterogeneous photocatalysis.  相似文献

Ag2Se quantum dots (QDs) with near‐infrared (NIR) fluorescence have been widely utilized in NIR fluorescence imaging in vivo because of their narrow bulk band gap and excellent biocompatibility. However, most of synthesis methods for Ag2Se QDs are expensive and the reactants are toxic. Herein, a new protein‐templated biomimetic synthesis approach is proposed for the preparation of Ag2Se QDs by employing bovine serum albumin (BSA) as a template and dispersant. The BSA‐templated Ag2Se QDs (Ag2Se@BSA QDs) showed NIR fluorescence with high fluorescence quantum yield (≈21.2 %), excellent biocompatibility and good dispersibility in different media. Moreover, the obtained Ag2Se@BSA QDs exhibited remarkable photothermal conversion (≈27.8 %), which could be used in photothermal therapy. As a model application in biomedicine, the Ag2Se@BSA QDs were used as “gatekeepers” to cap mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) by means of electrostatic interaction. By taking the advantages of NIR fluorescence and photothermal property of Ag2Se@BSA QDs, the obtained MSN‐DOX‐Ag2Se nanoparticles (MDA NPs) were employed as a nanoplatform for combined chemo‐photothermal therapy. Compared with free DOX and MDA NPs without NIR laser, the laser‐treated MDA NPs exhibited lower cell viability in vitro, implying that Ag2Se@BSA QDs are highly promising photothermal agents and the MDA NPs are potential carriers for chemo–photothermal therapy.  相似文献

An unusual tetra‐nuclear linear cyanido‐bridged complex [Ru2(μ‐ap)4‐CN‐Ru2(μ‐ap)4](BPh4) ( 1 ) (ap=2‐anilinopyridinate) has been synthesized and well characterized. The crystallographic data, magnetic measurement, IR, EPR and theoretical calculation results demonstrate that complex 1 is the first example of mixed spin Ru25+‐based complex with uncommon electronic configurations of S=1/2 for the cyanido‐C bound Ru25+ and S=3/2 for the cyanido‐N bound Ru25+. This phenomenon can be understood by the theoretical calculation results that from the precursor Ru2(μ‐ap)4(CN) (S=3/2) to complex 1 the energy gap between π* and δ* orbitals of the cyanido‐C bound Ru25+ core increases from 0.57 to 1.61 eV due to the enhancement of asymmetrical π back‐bonding effect, but that of the cyanido‐N bound Ru25+ core is essential identical (0.56 eV). Besides, the analysis of UV/Vis‐NIR spectra suggests that there exists metal to metal charge transfer (MMCT) from the cyanido‐N bound Ru25+ (S=3/2) to the cyanido‐C bound Ru25+ (S=1/2), supported by the TDDFT calculations.  相似文献
