由光子晶体光纤的对称性可以得到模式分布的对称性，根据模式的对称性选择适当的展开函数，可以使计算量大大减少。计算了六角结构光子晶体光纤的色散特性，得到了波长在1．55pm处色散为零时，光子晶体光纤的结构参量所满足的方程。

On the coupled NBEM and FEM for a class of nonlinear exterior Dirichlet problem in R 2

In this paper, based on the natural boundary reduction advanced by Feng and Yu, we couple the finite element approach with the natural boundary element method to study the weak solvability and Galerkin approximation of a class of nonlinear exterior boundary value problems. The analysis is mainly based on the variational formulation with constraints. We prove the error estimate of the finite element solution and obtain the asymptotic rate of convergence. Finally, we also give a numerical example.

     

Q spaces and Morrey spaces

We characterize functions in Morrey space by p-Carleson measures. We then reveal a simple relation between Q space and Morrey space, that is Q space can be viewed as a fractional integration of the Morrey space. Therefore, many results for Morrey space can be translated onto Q space. For example, we show that Q space is a dual space by identifying its predual.     

A NOTE OF THE SPECTRUM OF HOMOGENEOUS COMPACT OPERATORS

In this paper, we present some counterexamples which show that there is no theory on the spectrum of homogeneous compact operators which parallels the Riesz-Schauder theory on the spectrum of linear compact operators. These counterexamples also illustrate that it is impossible to study in a unified setting the Fucik spectrum of the Laplacian: -△w = au+ - bu- inΩand u = 0 on (?)Ω, as well as the spectrum of the p-Laplacian: -div(|(?)u| p-2(?)u) = λ|u|p-2u and u = 0 on (?)Ω.     

Nonlinear Boundary Layers of the Boltzmann Equation: I. Existence

 We study the half-space problem of the nonlinear Boltzmann equation, assigning the Dirichlet data for outgoing particles at the boundary and a Maxwellian as the far field. We will show that the solvability of the problem changes with the Mach number ℳ^∞ of the far Maxwellian. If ℳ^∞<−1, there exists a unique smooth solution connecting the Dirichlet data and the far Maxwellian for any Dirichlet data sufficiently close to the far Maxwellian. Otherwise, such a solution exists only for the Dirichlet data satisfying certain admissible conditions. The set of admissible Dirichlet data forms a smooth manifold of codimension 1 for the case −1<ℳ^∞<0, 4 for 0<ℳ^∞<1 and 5 for ℳ^∞>1, respectively. We also show that the same is true for the linearized problem at the far Maxwellian, and the manifold is, then, a hyperplane. The proof is essentially based on the macro-micro or hydrodynamics-kinetic decomposition of solutions combined with an artificial damping term and a spatially exponential decay weight. Optical characterization of bromo-alkoxyl-substituted copper phthalocyanine derivative thin films

A series of thin films of copper phthalocyanine derivatives with bromine and alkoxyl substituents [CuPc(OC₈H₁₇)₄Br_m, m=0,1,2,4] were prepared on single-crystal silicon substrates by spin coating. The ellipsometric spectra of the films have been studied on a rotating analyzer–polarizer type of scanning ellipsometer. The optical, dielectric constants and absorption coefficients of the films in 500–800 nm wavelength region were obtained. The results show that the complex refractive index, dielectric constants and absorption coefficient of these thin films are influenced regularly by bromine substituent on conjugated macrocycle. It was found that there are approximately linear relationships between the resonance absorption wavelengths of the films and the average number of bromine atoms substituted on the phthalocyanine ring.     

Urea method for the synthesis of hydrotalcites

Mg-Al, Zn-Al and Ni-Al hydrotalcite-like compounds with high crystallinity were synthesized by using the decomposing property of urea at high temperature. The crystallinity and the regularly of the samples were much preferable to those synthesized by other methods. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.

本文对用递推关系确定的Bush连续不可微函数,找出了迭代函数系(IFS),从而得到它的级数表达式和所具有的自仿射分形的有关性质.最后还计算出函数图象的Hausdorff 维数的准确值.     

Decentralized iterative learning control for a class of large scale interconnected dynamical systems

The problem of decentralized iterative learning control for a class of large scale interconnected dynamical systems is considered. In this paper, it is assumed that the considered large scale dynamical systems are linear time-varying, and the interconnections between each subsystem are unknown. For such a class of uncertain large scale interconnected dynamical systems, a method is presented whereby a class of decentralized local iterative learning control schemes is constructed. It is also shown that under some given conditions, the constructed decentralized local iterative learning controllers can guarantee the asymptotic convergence of the local output error between the given desired local output and the actual local output of each subsystem through the iterative learning process. Finally, as a numerical example, the system coupled by two inverted pendulums is given to illustrate the application of the proposed decentralized iterative learning control schemes.
