A series of enantioenriched six-membered metallocyclic amidomagnesium naphtholates were prepared and used to probe the structure–reactivity/selectivity relationships of heteroleptic magnesium base complexes within asymmetric deprotonation reactions. An effective complex was identified and applied within enantioselective enolisation processes, delivering good levels of enantioselectivity and also revealing key structural requirements for achieving such selectivity.  相似文献

An unprecedented spontaneous reactivity between diazonium salts and diboronic acid has been unveiled, leading to a versatile arylboronic acid synthesis directly from (hetero)arylamines. This fast reaction (35 min overall) tolerates a wide range of functional groups and is carried out under very mild conditions. Solvothermal reaction of H4L (L=biphenyl‐3,3′,5,5′‐tetracarboxylate) and Bi(NO3)3 ? (H2O)5 in a mixture of DMF/MeCN/H2O in the presence of piperazine and nitric acid at 100 °C for 10 h affords the solvated metal–organic polymer [Bi2(L)1.5(H2O)2] ? (DMF)3.5 ? (H2O)3 (NOTT‐220‐solv). A single crystal X‐ray structure determination confirms that it crystallises in space group P2/c and has a neutral and non‐interpenetrated structure comprising binuclear {Bi2} centres bridged by tetracarboxylate ligands. NOTT‐220‐solv shows a 3,6‐connected network having a framework topology with a {4 ? 62}2{42 ? 65 ? 88}{62 ? 8} point symbol. The desolvated material NOTT‐220a shows exceptionally high adsorption uptakes for CH4 and CO2 on a volumetric basis at moderate pressures and temperatures with a CO2 uptake of 553 g L?1 (20 bar, 293 K) with a saturation uptake of 688 g L?1 (1 bar, 195 K). The corresponding CH4 uptake was measured as 165 V(STP)/V (20 bar, 293 K) and 189 V(STP/V) (35 bar, 293 K) with a maximum CH4 uptake for NOTT‐220a recorded at 20 bar and 195 K to be 287 V(STP)/V, while H2 uptake of NOTT‐220a at 20 bar, 77 K is 42 g L?1. These gas uptakes have been modelled by grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, which confirm the experimental data and give insights into the nature of the binding sites of CH4 and CO2 in this porous hybrid material.  相似文献

Isotopic labelling is a key technology of increasing importance for the investigation of new C?H activation and functionalization techniques, as well as in the construction of labelled molecules for use within both organic synthesis and drug discovery. Herein, we report for the first time selective iridium‐catalyzed C?H activation and hydrogen‐isotope exchange at the β‐position of unsaturated organic compounds. The use of our highly active [Ir(cod)(IMes)(PPh3)][PF6] (cod=1,5‐cyclooctadiene) catalyst, under mild reaction conditions, allows the regioselective β‐activation and labelling of a range of α,β‐unsaturated compounds with differing steric and electronic properties. This new process delivers high levels of isotope incorporation over short reaction times by using low levels of catalyst loading.  相似文献

The magnetic‐field‐induced alignment of the fibrillar structures present in an aqueous solution of a dipeptide gelator, and the subsequent retention of this alignment upon transformation to a hydrogel upon the addition of CaCl2 or upon a reduction in solution pH is reported. Utilising the switchable nature of the magnetic field coupled with the slow diffusion of CaCl2, it is possible to precisely control the extent of anisotropy across a hydrogel, something that is generally very difficult to do using alternative methods. The approach is readily extended to other compounds that form viscous solutions at high pH. It is expected that this work will greatly expand the utility of such low‐molecular‐weight gelators (LMWG) in areas where alignment is key.  相似文献

Starting from a hypothetical but fundamental charge/discharge sequence, the topic of nonlinear optical switching in atomic clusters built from silicon and alkali metals is opened up. The outcomes presented in this work, obtained with ab initio methods of exceptional predictive capabilities, offer strong evidences that sizable hyperpolarizability contrasts between neutral and charged alkali metal doped cluster forms might be simultaneously accomplished. The observed switching procedure involves redox polyatomic clusters formed by Si atoms. These centers function as electron acceptors at the ground state and as electron donors at the excited states facilitating low energy charge transfer transitions upon electronic excitation. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

This paper reports on the results of using unbleached sugar cane bagasse nanofibres (average diameter 26.5 nm; aspect ratio 247 assuming a dry fibre density of 1,500 kg/m3) to improve the physico-chemical properties of starch-based films. The addition of bagasse nanofibres (2.5 to 20 wt%) to modified potato starch (i.e. soluble starch) reduced the moisture uptake by up to 17 % at 58 % relative humidity. The film’s tensile strength and Young’s modulus increased by up to 100 % (3.1 to 6.2 MPa) and 300 % (66.3 to 198.3 MPa) respectively with 10 and 20 wt% fibre addition. However, the strain at yield dropped by 50 % for the film containing 10 wt% fibre. Models for composite materials were used to account for the strong interactions between the nanofibres and the starch matrix. The storage and loss moduli as well as the glass transition temperature (Tg) obtained from dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, were increased with the starch-nanofibre films indicating decreased starch chain mobility due to the interacting effect of the nanofibres. Evidence of the existence of strong interactions between the starch matrix and the nanofibres was revealed from detailed Fourier transform infra-red and scanning electron microscopic evaluation.  相似文献

This paper summarizes a new method for preconcentration of rusty metal samples using DIPEX® Actinide Resin from Eichrom Technologies prior to analysis for trace environmental actinides. This method allows for preconcentration of actinides for which the existing lanthanum coprecipitation method is ill-suited. The new and existing methods were shown to provide comparable results for plutonium analysis. Performance was compared for both lab-prepared controls and environmental samples. Using actinide resin, a mean 238Pu activity of 46 ± 13 % mBq (2σ) was measured, while 238Pu activity of 40 ± 6 % mBq (2σ) was measured using lanthanum coprecipitation. Small quantities of 239+240Pu, likely attributable to fallout, were also detected.  相似文献

A straightforward synthesis of a novel class of sugar surfactants is described. The key step is the chemoselective condensation of a hydrophobic alkoxyamine with the resident aldehyde/ketone moiety on a hydrophilic sugar. Neither protection/deprotection of the sugars nor extensive product purification is required. The method allows for the facile adjustment of hydrophobic and hydrophilic domains of the sugar oxime ether surfactant and uses inexpensive, readily accessible, and renewable materials.  相似文献

A reverse nanoemulsion technique was used for the elaboration of [Fe(pz){Ni(CN)4}] nanoparticles. Low‐temperature micellar exchange made it possible to elaborate ultra‐small nanoparticles with sizes down to 2 nm. When decreasing the size of the particles from 110 to 12 nm the spin transition shifts to lower temperatures, becomes gradual, and the hysteresis shrinks. On the other hand, a re‐opening of the hysteresis was observed for smaller (2 nm) particles. A detailed 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy analysis was used to correlate this unusual phenomenon to the modification of the stiffness of the nanoparticles thanks to the determination of their Debye temperature.  相似文献
