Asymmetric synthesis XXVII: Asymmetric catalytic trimethylsilylcyanation of aldehydes by novel Ti-chiral Schiff base complexes

Enantioselective catalytic trimethylsilylcyanations of aldehydes with 48% to 92% e.e. have been studied using the novel Ti-chiral Schiff base complexes. We have found that the catalyst led to high enantoselectivity when the molar ratio of the Schiff base 1 to Ti(O-i-Pr)₄ was 2:1.

A novel hyperbranched polyester acrylate used for microfabrications

A novel hyperbranched polyester acrylate (HPEA) was synthesized based upon ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid as a “core” molecule, 5‐hydroxyisophthalic acid as an AB₂ monomer, and 2‐hydroxyethyl acrylate as an endcapping reagent. The obtained oligomer has an unsaturation concentration of 4.10 mmol_C?C g^?1 measured by nuclear magnetic resonance and a wide molecular weight distribution of 1.64 measured by gel permeation chromatography. The two‐photon absorption (TPA) photopolymerization of HPEA under the exposure of a Ti : sapphire femtosecond laser with a wavelength of 800 nm was investigated through laser exposure dose‐dependant spatial resolutions of its resins. The TPA photopolymerization thresholds at the range 1.6–4.3 × 10⁷ mJ cm^?2, and exposure dose windows at the range 3.4–4.3 for three formulations were determined. A spatial resolution of 0.85 μm was obtained through the TPA photopolymerization of the formulation containing 1 wt% photoinitiator and 0.3 wt% photoinhibitor. A diffraction grating and real three‐dimensional coupled gear wheel created by TPA photopolymerization were described to demonstrate the unique capability of HPEA in microfabrications. N,O-羧甲基壳聚糖的合成和性质研究

采用多段升温法将壳聚糖改性 ,合成了取代度为 1.84、平均分子量为 3.0 8× 10 5、等电点为 7.2 8的N ,O 羧甲基壳聚糖 (CMC) ,分别用紫外光谱、红外光谱、荧光光谱对其结构进行了表征 ,并对其水溶液的Zeta电位、电导率、表面张力以及水分散体系中羧甲基壳聚糖微粒的粒径分布进行了研究 .结果表明 ,N ,O 羧甲基壳聚糖具有表面活性 ;介质的pH值和浓度对羧甲基壳聚糖溶液的稳定性有很大的影响

Efficient Imine Formation by Oxidative Coupling at Low Temperature Catalyzed by High-Surface-Area Mesoporous CeO2 with Exceptional Redox Property

High-surface-area mesoporous CeO₂ (hsmCeO₂) was prepared by a facile organic-template-induced homogeneous precipitation process and showed excellent catalytic activity in imine synthesis in the absence of base from primary alcohols and amines in air atmosphere at low temperature. For comparison, ordinary CeO₂ and hsmCeO₂ after different thermal treatments were also investigated. XRD, N₂ physisorption, UV-Raman, H₂ temperature-programmed reduction, O₂ temperature-programmed desorption, EPR spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to unravel the structural and redox properties. The hsmCeO₂ calcined at 400 °C shows the highest specific surface area (158 m² g⁻¹), the highest fraction of surface coordinatively unsaturated Ce³⁺ ions (18.2 %), and the highest concentration of reactive oxygen vacancies (2.4×10¹⁵ spins g⁻¹). In the model reaction of oxidative coupling of benzyl alcohol and aniline, such an exceptional redox property of the hsmCeO₂ catalyst can boost benzylideneaniline formation (2.75 and 5.55 mmol h⁻¹ based on >99 % yield at 60 and 80 °C, respectively) in air with no base additives. It can also work effectively at a temperature of 30 °C and in gram-scale synthesis. These are among the best results for all benchmark ceria catalysts in the literature. Moreover, the hsmCeO₂ catalyst shows a wide scope towards primary alcohols and amines with good to excellent yield of imines. The influence of reaction parameters, the reusability of the catalyst, and the reaction mechanism were investigated.     

一个新的指数削减椭圆形分布族

A new family of univariate exponential slash distribution is introduced, which is based on elliptical distributions and defined by means of a stochastic representation as the scale mixture of an elliptically distributed random variable with respect to the power of an exponential random variable. The same idea is extended to the multivariate case. General properties of the resulting families, including their moments and kurtosis coefficient, are studied. And inferences based on methods of moment and maximum likelihood are discussed. A real data is presented to show this family is flexible and fits much better than other related families.     

Asymmetric Synthesis XIV: TiCl(Oipr)3-Promoted Asymmetric Coupling Reaction of D-Camphor Ketimine Anion

Optically active 1, 2-Diphenylethylendiamine(9) is obtained by asymmetric oxidative coupling reaction of d-camphor ketimine anion (4). Among various oxidating agents, TiCl(Oipr)₃ is better than l₂, Br₂, CuCl₂, FeCl₃ and BrCH₂CH₂Br.
