The effect of γ-ray irradiation on the magnetic properties of NdFeB and Fe–Cr–Co permanent magnets has been investigated. The magnetic flux loss of two kinds of magnets before and after irradiation was measured. Results show that the effect of γ-ray irradiation on the magnetic properties of sintered NdFeB is not so obvious as that on Fe–Cr–Co magnet. Irradiation-induced damage from γ-ray for the Fe–Cr–Co magnets was characterized for the first time. The decline of permanent magnetic properties of Fe–Cr–Co magnet induced by γ-ray irradiation is reversible except for the maximum energy product (BH)max. The difference of coercivity mechanism between these two kinds of permanent magnets is responsible for the different dependence of magnetic properties loss induced by γ-ray irradiation.  相似文献

A new method of analysis of the efficiency of four filters of MnO2 in series which takes into account the reactions induced in plutonium by the sorbent is described. The system of differential equations describing the behaviour of plutonium in water as it passes through the filters is solved and the parameters of the filters are determined for a best fitting of the solutions corresponding to the experimental uncertainties. The method is checked by numerical simulation and then applied to water solutions with a known plutonium concentration and to some experimental results given by other authors. In all occassions the results are consistent with the possibility of determining the contents of plutonium in sea and continental waters with uncertainties of the order of 10%.  相似文献

Catalytic hydrogenation of o-nitrophenylbenz[a], benz[c], dibenz[a,h] and dibenz[a,g]acridinones using Pd/C as catalyst, at 60 psi of pressure, gave the hiterto unknown benzoquinoacridine N-oxides and benzo-pyranonaphthyridine N-oxides. Normally, gamma-ray spectroscopy is performed by equipment positioned in the SLOWPOKE-2 Facility at the Royal Military College; however, there have occasionally been requirements for analyses externally. A transportable gamma spectroscopy system was thus assembled by acquiring a commercially available multichannel analyzer, analysis program and detector, and by designing and constructing a transportable shielding castle. It was then used to take measurements of fission product concentrations at several research reactors.  相似文献

The Born scattering approximation has been widely used in seismology to study scattered waves, and to linearize the propagation problem for inversion. The standard Born theory requires the model be separated into a smooth, reference model and a perturbation. Scattering occurs from the pertubation. In the distorted Born approximation, when the reference model is inhomogeneous, the reference Green's functions are normally not known exactly, but the error in these Green's functions is rarely quantified. In this paper, we generalize Born scattering theory to include the errors in the Green's functions explicitly, and obtain scattering integrals from these errors. For forward modelling, there is no need to separate the model into a reference and perturbation part - approximate Green's functions in the true model can be used to calculate the scattered signals.

The theory is developed for inhomogeneous, anisotropic media. Asymptotic ray theory results are suitable approximate Green's functions for the generalized Born scattering theory. The error terms are simple, easily calculated and included in the scattering integrals. Various applications of generalized Born scattering theory have already appeared in the literature, e.g. quasi-shear ray coupling, and this paper is restricted to an improved and more complete theoretical development. Further applications will appear elsewhere.  相似文献

The problem treated in this paper concerns calculating the evolution of the pressure in a single-phase, slightly compressible fluid in a porous medium consisting of communicating layers. The fluid is produced through a point sink located on the side of an otherwise sealed cylindrical wellbore. This location of the sink causes the flow around the wellbore to be azimuthally asymmetric.The problem is solved through successive application of Laplace, finite Fourier and finite Hankel transforms. Although apparently straightforward, this approach leads to serious numerical difficulties. The published form of the inversion formula for the finite Hankel transform leads to inaccurate computation for the higher azimuthal modes even with 128 bit arithmetic. An alternative form is developed which enables accurate evaluation of the solution with the more practical 64 bit arithmetic. The technique for two-layer solution presented here can be directly extended to a problem with a larger number of communicating layers. This is the first instance of successful application of the finite Hankel transform to an azimuthally asymmetric diffusion problem.  相似文献
