A combination of modified particle swarm optimization algorithm and support vector machine for gene selection and tumor classification

In the analysis of gene expression profiles, the number of tissue samples with genes expression levels available is usually small compared with the number of genes. This can lead either to possible overfitting or even to a complete failure in analysis of microarray data. The selection of genes that are really indicative of the tissue classification concerned is becoming one of the key steps in microarray studies. In the present paper, we have combined the modified discrete particle swarm optimization (PSO) and support vector machines (SVM) for tumor classification. The modified discrete PSO is applied to select genes, while SVM is used as the classifier or the evaluator. The proposed approach is used to the microarray data of 22 normal and 40 colon tumor tissues and showed good prediction performance. It has been demonstrated that the modified PSO is a useful tool for gene selection and mining high dimension data.     

Pyrite Genesis During Early Diagenesis in Yellow Sea and East China Sea

The content and isotopic compositions of different sulphur species in pore-water and solid phases have been examined on five sediment cores taken from muddy sediment region in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea. Relationships among these data have been investigated with the combination of morphology of mineral pyrite and organic matter so as to role out the diagenetic behaviour of sulphur species at the early stage of diagenesis in modern marine sediment and the origin of pyrite formation.     

Oxidative coupling of methane over Sr?Ti, Sr?Sn perovskites and corresponding layered perovskites

The layered perovskites Sr₂TiO₄ and Sr₂SnO₄ are more active and selective for the oxidative coupling of methane at 1073 K than the corresponding perovskites SrTiO₃ and SrSnO₃. The role of the surface oxygen species for this reaction is discussed.     

A novel class of amide-derived air-stable P,O-ligands for Suzuki cross-coupling at low catalyst loading

The benzamide-derived P,O-ligands efficiently promoted the Pd-catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling reactions of aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid at 0.01 mol % of Pd loading at 60-80 °C to form biaryls in excellent yields. A sterically hindered arylboronic acid gave a quantitative yield of the coupling product at 110 °C with 1 mol % Pd.     

一种制备大量氧化锌纳米管的简单方法(英)

ZnO nanotubes were synthesized in large scale by thermal decomposition of the precursors obtained via chemical reaction between Zn(CH₃COO)₂·2H₂O and NaHCO₃ in the presence of surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The inner diameters of the tubes were in the range of 80～100 nm, and outer diameters in the range of 160～260 nm with lengths up to a few micrometers. The products were characterized with XRD, TEM, and SEM.     

Structure and magnetic properties of diaqua(4,4′-bipyridine) terbium(III) and the zinc(II) carboxylate dimer [Tb2Zn2(CH2C(CH3)COO)10(bipy)(H2O)2]2

A novel heteronuclear complex, [Tb₂Zn₂L₁₀(bipy)(H₂O)₂]₂ (HL = -methylacrylic acid, bipy = 4,4-bipyridine), was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and i.r. absorption spectra. Its structure, determined by X-ray diffraction, is a discrete octanuclear molecule, in which two Zn^II ions are linked by a bipy molecule and between Tb^III ions, or Tb^III and Zn^II ions are bridged by bidentate -methylacrylato groups. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of the complex shows strong ferromagnetic interaction between the terbium atoms.     

N,N'-二(二乙氧基硫代磷酰基)-1,4-苯二胺的合成、晶体结构及热性能研究

通过二乙氧基硫代磷酰氯与对苯二胺反应生成了标题化合物N,N'-二(二乙氧基硫代磷酰基)-1,4-苯二胺，并应用元素分析, FTIR及¹H NMR对标题化合物进行了表征. 利用X射线单晶衍射测定了其晶体结构, 同时应用TG分析法对其热性能进行了分析. 标题化合物的相对分子质量M_r＝412.42, 为正交晶系, Pbca空间群, 晶胞参数为a＝0.86936(16) nm, b＝1.2787(2) nm, c＝1.8897(3) nm, β＝90°, V＝2.1006(7) nm³, Z＝8, D_c＝1.304 g/cm³, μ(Mo Kα)＝0.425 mm^－1, F(000)＝872, S＝1.052. 最终偏离因子R＝0.0628, wR＝0.1860, 可观测衍射点1852个[I＞2σ(I)]. 该晶体通过对苯二胺连接并以中心对称分布, 并形成层状结构, 且存在弱的分子内氢键N—H…S. TG分析表明该化合物有很好的热稳定性及成炭性, 通过其阻燃聚丙烯腈表明, 该物质是一种高效能的膨胀型阻燃剂.     

医用聚氯乙烯膜的等离子体表面改性

用两种不同气氛的辉光放电等离子体工艺对医用软质聚氯乙烯（ＰＶＣ）膜进行了表面改性研究。结果表明，聚合性气氛的等离子体改性效果明显优于非聚合性气氛。平整致密的聚合膜对ＰＶＣ增塑剂——邻苯二甲酸二辛酯的迁移和扩散起了阻挡作用，也使膜表面亲水性和表面张力极性成份增大，液固相界面张力减小，生物相容性得以改善。     

RE(CCl_3COO)_3(Phen)_2·nH_2O混配配合物的合成、性质及晶体结构

利用水和乙醇混合溶剂合成了稀土三氯醋酸盐与2份1,10-邻菲绕啉(phen)配合物RE(CCl_3COO)_3(phen)_2·nH_2O(RE=Nd,Sm,n=0;RE=Eu,n=2)的单晶.结构测定表明,Nd(CCl_3COO)_3(phen)_2为三斜晶系,每个三氯醋酸盐均以双齿配位,2个phen亦为双齿配位,故配位单元中钕为10配位;Eu(CCl_3COO)_3(phen)_2·2H_2O为单斜晶系,1个三氯醋酸根在外界,2个三氯醋酸根为单齿配位,2个phen为双齿配位,另有2分配位水,故配位单元中Eu为8配位.     

New synthesis of two optically active steroid CD ring synthons by microbial asymmetric reduction

Two optically active steroid CD ring synthons 4 and 19 were synthesized from 11 obtained by the microbial asymmetric reduction of a pro-chiral trione 10 which could be efficiently prepared by the reaction of a new annelating reagent 9 with 2-ethyl-cyclopentane-1, 3-dione.
