Summary This paper studies the flow of an incompressible, constant density micropolar fluid past a stretching sheet. The governing boundary layer equations of the flow are solved numerically using a globally convergent homotopy method in conjunction with a least change secant update quasi-Newton algorithm. The flow pattern depends on three non-dimensional parameters. Some interesting results are illustrated graphically and discussed.

Functionalized branched aziridines can be prepared in high yields and with high levels of regioselectivity using unprotected aziridines as nitrogen sources in palladium-catalyzed allylic amination. High levels of enantioselectivity can be achieved with BINAP on palladium. The development of a versatile amine releasing linker based on the modified o-nitrobenzene sulfonamide protective group is described. This new N-Boc-o-nitrobenzenesulfonamide (Boc-ONBS) linker enables the elaboration on resin of primary and secondary amines by sequential substitution of the sulfonamide moiety using the Mitsunobu reaction. Oxygenation of 2,5,9,12-tetra(tert-butyl)diacenaphtho[1,2-b:1′,2′-d]-thiophene (1, C40H44S) by peracids gave the cyclic sulfonic ester 4 (2,7,10,13-tetra(tert-butyl)diacenaphtho[1,2-c:1′,2′-e]oxathiin 5,5-dioxide, C40H44O3S) which, when heated in nitrobenzene, is converted into a complex, macrocyclic anhydride 3 (C80H88O3), which is derived from two molecules of 4. Further investigation found a likely intermediate in this reaction, 4,4′,7,7′-tetra(tert-butyl)-1,1′-biacenaphthylenylidene-2,2′-dione (5, C40H44O2), apparently formed from 4 by additional oxidation. Anhydride 3 plausibly arises by Diels-Alder reaction of 4 and 5 followed by several ring fragmentations. The structures of 3, 4, and 5 were unambiguously established by X-ray crystallography. 相似文献

Collision-induced dissociation and infrared multiphoton dissociation of ions formed in di- and tri-ethylamine, di- and tri-n-propylamine, and di-isopropylamine were investigated by Fourier-transform ion-cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Molecular ions of all amines except di-n-propylamine produced similar fragment ions when subjected to either dissociation technique. The initial fragmentation involved CαCβ bond cleavage, loss of an alkyl radical, and formation of an immonium ions. Subsequent fragmentations of the immonium ions produced by both dissociation mechanisms involved McLafferty-type rearrangements and loss of alkenes. The molecular ion of di-n-propylamine fragmented by a different mechanism when subjected to infrared irradiation. Protonated molecules of di- and tri-n-propylamine yielded C3H6 and an ammonium ion upon infrared multiphoton dissociation, while protonated molecules of the other amines did not dissociate when this technique was applied. In contrast, collision-induced dissociation produced fragmentation for all protonated molecules. Explanation of the different fragmentations observed for the two dissociation techniques is given in terms of a mechanism involving a tight transition state for protonated di- and tri-n-propylamine dissociation. 相似文献

We present an observation of B-->eta'K*. The data sample corresponds to 232x10(6) BB[over ] pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. We measure the branching fractions (in units of 10(-6)) B(B(0)-->eta'K*0)=3.8+/-1.1+/-0.5 and B(B+-->eta'K*+)=4.9(1.7)(+1.9)+/-0.8, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. A simultaneous fit results in the observation of B-->eta'K* with B(B-->eta'K*)=4.1(-0.9)(+1.0)+/-0.5. We also search for B-->eta'rho and eta'f(0)(980)(f(0)-->pi+pi-) with results and 90% confidence level upper limits B(B+-->eta'rho+)=8.7(-2.8-1.3)(+3.1+2.3) (<14), B(B(0)-->eta'rho0)<3.7, and B(B(0)-->eta'f(0)(980)(f(0)-->pi+pi-))<1.5. The winemaking by-product grape marc (syn. pomace) contains significant quantities of latent flavour in the form of flavour precursors which can be extracted and used to modulate the volatile composition of wine via chemical hydrolysis. Varietal differences in grapes are widely known with respect to their monoterpene content, and this work aimed to extend this knowledge into differences due to cultivar in volatiles derived from marc precursors following wine-like storage conditions. Marc extracts were produced from floral and non-floral grape lots on a laboratory-scale and from Muscat Gordo Blanco marc on a winery -scale, added to a base white wine for storage over five to six months, before being assessed using a newly developed membrane-assisted solvent extraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method. The geraniol glucoside content of the marc extracts was higher than that of juices produced from each grape lot. In all wines with added marc extract from a floral variety, geraniol glucoside concentration increased by around 150–200%, with increases also observed for non-floral varieties. The relative volatile profile from extracts of the floral varieties was similar but had varied absolute concentrations. In summary, while varietally pure extracts would provide the greatest control over flavour outcomes when used in winemaking, aggregated marc parcels from floral cultivars may provide a mechanism to simplify the production logistics of latent flavour extracts for use in the wine sector. 相似文献
