As the basis of the evaluation of nature cracks, a millimeter wave method to evaluate the shape of a thin 3D slit on the metal surface is demonstrated. An open-ended coaxial line sensor was proposed to improve the spatial resolution of the measurement. The amplitude of the reflection coefficient that is associated with the dimensions of the slit is measured by scanning the specimen in the direction perpendicular to the detected slit. A characteristic signal corresponding to the detected slit was obtained and, was used to evaluate the depth of the slit. 相似文献

We explore the spin-boson model in a special case, i.e., with zero local field. In contrast to previous studies, we find no possibility for quantum phase transition (QPT) happening between the localized and delocalized phases, and the behavior of the model can be fully characterized by the even or odd parity as well as the parity breaking, instead of the QPT, owned by the ground state of the system. The parity breaking mentioned in our case is completely different from the spontaneously broken symmetry relevant to the conventionally defined QPT in previous studies. Our analytical treatment about the eigensolution of the ground state of the model presents for the first time a rigorous proof of no- degeneracy for the ground state of the model, which is independent of the bath type, the degrees of freedom of the bath and the calculation precision. We argue that the QPT mentioned previously appears due to incorrect employment of the ground state of the model and/or unreasonable treatment of the infrared divergence existing in the spectral functions for Ohmic and sub-Ohmic dissipations. 相似文献

The growth, XRD patterns, spectral properties, and fluorescence decays of Yb:Ca0.28Ba0.72Nb2O6 (Yb:CBN) with doping concentration of 1 at.% and 5 at.% were studied. An efficient 2 μm room temperature Ho:YVO(4) laser resonantly pumped by a 1.94 μm Tm:YAP laser is demonstrated, for the first time to our knowledge, in this Letter. Up to 8.58 W of laser output at 2053 nm is obtained with the optical-to-optical conversion efficiency as much as 41.2%. The output beam had quality of M2 factor with Mx(2) of 3.58 and My(2) of 1.76 at 8 W output level. Amorphous TbFe films are fabricated by dc magnetron sputtering, and their magnetostrictions at low field are examined over a wide range of terbium content (from 32at.% to 70at.%). It is found that the terbium content plays an important role in the magnetic and magnetostrictive properties of TbFe films. TbFe film soft magnetic properties and low field magnetostriction can be efficiently improved by controlling the terbium at an optimum content. The magnetostriction at lower magnetic field is increased with the increase of terbium content up to 48.2at.%. After reaching the maximum value, further increase of terbium content would result in a great decrease of the low field magnetostriction. By contrast, at higher magnetic field, the magnetostriction is decreased monotonically with the increase of the terbium content. 相似文献
