Determination of optical nonlinearities in Cu(mpo)2 by Z-scan technique

The optical nonlinearities of Cu(mpo)₂ [formula = C₁₀H₈N₂CuO₂S₂] complex have firstly been investigated by using the Z-scan technique with a nanosecond-pulsed Nd:YAG laser at its second harmonic (532 nm) radiation. The nonlinear optical absorption and refraction coefficients of Cu(mpo)₂ have been measured with the different on-axial peak irradiances I ₀ at the waist ranging from 0.48 to 5.66 GW/cm². The nonlinear transmittance characteristics exhibit the near resonant two-photon absorption (TPA) at 532 nm and are explained by a population redistribution model. The nonlinear absorption originates from the near resonant TPA while the mechanism of the nonlinear refraction is the near resonant TPA transition enhancement. The linear increasing dependences of the optical nonlinearities on the incident irradiance arise from the population redistribution due to the near resonant TPA.     

Formation of highly substituted chiral cyclohexanone derivatives using a tandem conjugate addition/cyclisation

A tandem conjugate addition/cyclisation approach, that allows the synthesis of chiral highly substituted cyclohexanones and cyclohexenones, which is applicable to natural product syntheses has been developed.     

强激光远场焦斑重构算法研究

 通过CCD图像采集单元结合传统的列阵相机测量高功率固体激光器的远场焦斑分布，采用图像处理技术的边缘算子提取焦斑的几何中心，提出通过几何中心对心的焦斑嵌套重构算法，解决了光斑饱和时的对心难题，实现了快捷准确测量激光焦斑，为激光器的实时控制提供参考数据。     

基于Karhunen-Loève变换和小波谱特征矢量量化的三维谱像数据压缩

提出了基于Karhunen Lo埁ｖｅ变换的小波谱特征矢量量化三维谱像数据压缩方法耍幔颍瑁酰睿澹?Lo埁ｖｅ变换 /小波变换 /小波谱特征矢量量化方法应用了Karhunen Lo埁ｖｅ变换的消除谱相关性优良性能 ,应用二维小波变换消除空间相关性 ,在小波变换域内应用二维集分割嵌入块编码和一维谱特征矢量量化对三维谱像数据压缩 ,获得较高的压缩性能。实验结果表明 :Karhunen Lo埁ｖｅ变换 /小波变换 /小波谱特征矢量量化编码比Karhunen Lo埁ｖｅ变换 /小波变换 /改进对块零树编码和Karhunen Lo埁ｖｅ变换 /小波变换 /快速矢量量化编码方法在同样压缩比条件下 ,峰值信噪比提高 2dB和 1dB以上 ,而速度提高了 1.5和 8倍 ,整体压缩性能有较大的提高     

Strongly confined quantum wire states in strained T-shaped GaAs/InAlAs structures

The confinement energy of T-shaped quantum wires (QWRs), which were fabricated by the cleaved edge overgrowth technique in a way that the QWRs form at the intersection of In_0.2Al_0.8As stressor layers and the overgrown (1 1 0) GaAs quantum well (QW), is examined using micro-photoluminescence spectroscopy. Photoluminescence (PL) signals from individual QWRs can be spatially resolved, since the strained films are separated by 1 μm wide Al_0.3Ga_0.7As layers. We find that due to the tensile strain being transmitted to the QW, the confinement energy of the QWRs rises systematically up to 40 meV with increasing thickness of the stressor layers. By reducing the excitation power to 0.1 μW the QWR PL emission occurs 48 meV redshifted with respect to the QW. All QWR peaks exhibit smooth lineshapes, indicating the absence of pronounced exciton localization.     

Subgame Consistent Cooperative Solutions in Stochastic Differential Games

Subgame consistency is a fundamental element in the solution of cooperative stochastic differential games. In particular, it ensures that: (i) the extension of the solution policy to a later starting time and to any possible state brought about by the prior optimal behavior of the players would remain optimal; (ii) all players do not have incentive to deviate from the initial plan. In this paper, we develop a mechanism for the derivation of the payoff distribution procedures of subgame consistent solutions in stochastic differential games with transferable payoffs. The payoff distribution procedure of the subgame consistent solution can be identified analytically under different optimality principles. Demonstration of the use of the technique for specific optimality principles is shown with an explicitly solvable game. For the first time, analytically tractable solutions of cooperative stochastic differential games with subgame consistency are derived.     

Propagation characteristics of linearly polarized Bessel-Gaussian beams through an annular apertured paraxial ABCD optical system

By means of Collins diffraction integral formula in the paraxial approximation and based on the fact that a hard aperture function can be expanded into a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions, an approximate analytical expression for linearly polarized Bessel-Gaussian beams passing through a paraxial ABCD optical system with an annular aperture has been derived. The results provide more convenient for studying their propagation and transformation than the usual way by using diffraction integral directly. By using the analytical expression and the diffraction integral formula some numerical simulations are done to illustrate for the propagation characteristics of a linearly polarized Bessel-Gaussian beam through an optical system with an annular aperture.
