Strong Solutions of the Navier–Stokes System in Lipschitz Bounded Domains

Let Ω be a bounded domain in ?³ with a connected Lipschitz boundary ?Ω. Consider the Navier-Stokes system.     

High energy electronic neutrino (ve) and antineutrino (ve) interactions

The total cross-sections for $\text{v}{}_{\mathrm{<mtext>e</mtext>}}\text{(}\text{v}{}_{\mathrm{<mtext>e</mtext>}}\text{)}$-nucleon scattering have been measured. A test has been made of the muon number conservation law. A limit of 2.4 GeV is found the mass of the “Georgi-Glashow type” heavy lepton     

The 7Li(d, n0)8Be reaction with polarized 800 keV deuterons

The analysing power of the ${}^7\text{Li}\text{(}\text{d}\text{, n}{}_0\text{)}{}^8\text{Be}$ reaction for vector and tensor polarization of an 800 keV deuteron beam, as well as the relative cross section for the unpolarized beam were measured at 7 to 9 angles between 0° and 160°, using a thick target. Analysis in terms of (l, s, J^π) matrix elements shows that two intermediate states with $\text{J}{}^{\mathrm{\pi }}\text{=}\text{3}\text{2}{}^{\mathrm{+}}$ and $\text{J}{}^{\mathrm{\pi }}\text{=}\text{5}\text{2}{}^{\mathrm{?}}$ present, strongly interfering with each other. Assignments to known ⁹Be levels and to threshold resonances as suggested by Hackenbroich and Seligman are briefly discussed. The magnitude of the vector analysing power makes the reaction interesting as a monitor for the vector polarization of low-energy deuteron beams.     

Development of free radicals in sulfonated polystyrene ion-exchange resins upon drying

On exhaustive drying of sulfonated polystyrene-based ion-exchange resins, it is shown that free-radical centers develop. These have been examined by electron-spin resonance spectroscopy. The formation of the free radicals is largely reversible with respect to desorption and sorption of water which was measured by means of a quartz spiral microbalance. The spin-concentration isotherm as a function of sorbed water concentration is obtained. The presence of free radicals, dependent on water content in the resins, interferes with proton magnetic relaxation studies of hydration of ionized resins by providing a faster electron-spin coupled nuclear magnetic relaxation mechanism.     

The structure of the triplet excimer in hexachlorobenzene crystals — an endor study

The lowest triplet state T₁ of hexacholorobenzene (HCB) crystals doped with trichlorobenzene (TCB) is excimeric. By an ESR and ENDOR (¹H and ³⁵Cl) analysis it is shown that the triplet excimers are dimeric and located in one of the two stacks constituting the crystals with misorientation of 20°. From H-ENDOR it is concluded that the dopant TCB is nearest neighbour and translationaily equivalent to the excimer. The same is true for the HCB molecule which is nearest neighbour on the other side of the excimer in the stack. From Cl-ENDOR orientation and size of the quadrupole tensor, spin density distribution, symmetry and orientation of the excimer are derived.
