The motion of thin films of a viscous incompressible liquid in a gas under the action of capillary forces is studied. The
surface tension depends on the surfactant concentration, and the liquid is nonvolatile. The motion is described by the well-known
model of quasi-steady-state viscous film flow. The linear-wave solutions are compared with the solution using the Navier-Stokes
equations. Situations are studied where a solution close to the inviscid two-dimensional solutions exists and in the case
of long wavelength, the occurrence of sound waves in the film due to the Gibbs surface elasticity is possible. The behavior
of the exact solutions near the region of applicability of asymptotic equations is studied, and nonmonotonic dependences of
the wave characteristics on wavenumber are obtained.

The hydrodynamic free-boundary problem of the axisymmetric spreading of a viscous-fluid drop over the smooth surface of a
solid under the action of capillary forces and under the conditions of weak gravitation is considered. For finite inclination
angles of the free surface and small capillary numbers, the problem is reduced to the simpler hydrodynamic problem in a region
with known boundary by the asymptotic method. An expression for the dynamic edge angle of the drop is obtained. It is shown
that in addition to the local inclination angle of the boundary near the contact line of three phases, one drop has several
dynamic edge angles. These angles are calculated for small Reynolds and Bond numbers.

We study 3D globular photonic crystals based on synthetic opals filled with semiconductor core/shell quantum dots CdSe/CdS
by measuring the photoluminescence spectra. The spectra were obtained using 369, 384, and 408 nm LED light excitation and
involving a pulse YAG laser operating at 365 and 266 nm. The study shows that the photoluminescence spectra of opal filled
with CdSe/CdS changes sufficiently in comparison with spectra taken for pure opal and a reference colloidal solution of CdSe/Cds

Resonant electron capture mass spectra of aliphatic and aromatic amino acids and their methyl esters show intense [M-H](-) negative ions in the low-energy range. Ion formation results from a predissociation mechanism mediated by the low-energy pi*oo resonant state. Methylation in general has little influence on the electronic structure according to quantum chemical calculations, but the corresponding ions from the methyl esters, [M-Me](-), could be ascertained to arise only at higher resonance energies. Aromatic amino acids are characterized by an additional low-energy fragmentation channel associated with the generation of negative ions with loss of the side chain. The complementary negative ions of the side chains are more efficiently produced at higher energies. The results have significant implications in biological systems as they suggest that amino acids can serve as radiation protectors since they have been found to efficiently thermalize electrons. 相似文献

The photoluminescence spectra of aromatic compounds in a photon trap under ultraviolet pulse-periodic excitation are recorded. It is shown that the photoluminescence spectrum shape depends on the material layer thickness in a cell, physical state of the sample, and exciting radiation characteristics: as the layer thicknesses decreases, the intensity is significantly redistributed, which is explained by the transition from spontaneous luminescence to superluminescence. 相似文献
