We consider the creeping motion of a thin layer of a nonvolatile viscous fluid spreading due to capillary forces over a rigid surface covered by a thin homogeneous film (microfilm). The influence of van der Waals forces on the asymptotic slope of the free boundary of the layer is studied in the region of large thickness, where capillary forces dominate. A solution of the problem of the slope angle is obtained for the entire possible range of the microfilm thickness. In the limit of small thickness of the microfilm, this solution is in agreement with the well-known solution of the problem of the dynamics of wetting of a dry surface in the presence of a precursory film and van der Waals forces. The photoluminescence spectra of sodium uranyl acetate polycrystals are recorded under excitation by different sources (semiconductor light-emitting diodes, cw lasers, and repetitively pulsed lasers). The excitation wavelengths fall into the absorption band of this solid, which makes it possible to record photoluminescence beginning from an extremely small volume of the material (10–10 cm3) at exposures of ~10–3 s.  相似文献

The unsteady-state nonlinear problem of spreading of a drop of a viscous fluid on the horizontal surface of a solid under the action of gravity and capillary forces is considered for small Reynolds numbers. The method of asymptotic matching is applied to solve the axisymmetrical problem of spreading when the gravity exerts a significant effect on the dynamics of the drop. The flow structure in the drop is determined at large times in the neighborhood of a self-similar solution. The ranges of applicability of the quasiequilibrium model of drop spreading with a dynamic edge angle and a self-similar solution are found. It is shown that the transition from one flow model to another occurs at very large Bond numbers. The structures of [M-H](-) ions generated from free fatty acids in resonant electron capture at energies of 1.2 and 7.2 eV were investigated using deuterium-labeled isotopomers and collision-induced dissociation. The [M-H](- small middle dot) ions occur in both a carboxylate anion and a carbanion form. While the formation of the carboxylate anion at 1.2 eV involves the loss of a carboxylic hydrogen, that at 7.2 eV involves the loss of a hydrogen from different positions in the aliphatic chain followed by a rearrangement of a carboxylic hydrogen on to the radical site in the chain. The [M-H-H(2)O](-) ion which is a minor ion in the resonant electron capture spectrum at 7.2 eV is shown to be a precursor for the charge-remote fragment ions corresponding to formal losses of a hydrogen and elements of alkanes. The [M-H-H(2)O](-) ion corresponding to the second major ion in the resonant electron capture spectrum at 7.2 eV is demonstrated to be consistent with a cyclopentanone anion structure. On the basis of new insights obtained in the present study and taking into account previous results, an updated proposal is presented for the mechanism of charge-remote fragmentation which operates in resonant electron capture of free fatty acids at 7.2 eV.  相似文献

Derivatives of 3-imidazoline 3-oxide have been studied by 14N and 17O NMR methods. Regularities of the influence of substituents and of a hydrogen bond on chemical shifts have been made apparent. The range of changes of the chemical shifts of the nitrogen and oxygen nuclei of the nitrone group has been determined. Both in the 17O and in the 14N NMR spectra the signals of the amino derivatives are the highest field signals for the nitrone group, and the lowest field signals are the signals of the cyano derivatives in the series of derivatives investigated. Depending on the substituent (from amino to cyano group) the 17O chemical shifts varied over a range ∼155 ppm, but the interval of change of the 14N chemical shifts for the same substituents was ∼110 ppm. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 9, pp. 1336–1341. Nuclear level densities and radiative strength functions (RSFs) in 56Fe and 57Fe were measured using the 57Fe(3He, αγ) and 57Fe(3He, 3He′γ) reactions, respectively, at the Oslo Cyclotron Laboratory. A low-energy enhancement in the RSF below 4-MeV energy was observed. This finding cannot be explained by common theoretical models. In a second experiment, two-step cascade intensities with soft primary transitions from the 56Fe(n, 2γ) reaction were measured. The agreement between the two experiments confirms the low-energy enhancement in the RSFs. In a third experiment, the neutron evaporation spectrum from the 55Mn(d, n)56Fe reaction was measured at 7-MeV deuteron energy at the John Edwards Accelerator Laboratory at Ohio University. Comparison of the level density of 56Fe obtained from the first and third experiments gives an overall good agreement. Furthermore, observed enhancement for soft γ rays is strengthened by the last experiment. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Fluid motion along a smooth, solid surface is examined when the free surface forms a final visible angle with the solid boundary. The dependence of this angle on the velocity with allowance for capillary forces is determined. The Reynolds number is small. The problem of the motion of the phase interface in a capillary and the spreading of viscous fluid drops on solid surfaces are solved. Experimental results are explained. Condensation of a vapor-air mixture and boiling in a flowing down water film in an upright tubular evaporator was examined. We studied techniques to intensify heat exchange by installation of turbulators in a form of coil on a heat transfer surface of pipes and developed dependencies to estimate values of heat transfer coefficient in condensation and boiling.  相似文献

We consider the motion of a small sphere in an arbitrary potential flow of an ideal liquid. For the general case we obtain an integral of the equations of motion and a particular solution. We find flows in which the force acting on the sphere is central. We also obtain exact solutions of the equations of motion of the sphere for the cases of stationary flows around a cylinder and around a body of revolution when the forces are noncentral. N. E. Zhukovskii [1] calculated the force acting on a fixed sphere in an arbitrary nonstationary flow. Kelvin [2] obtained the equations of motion of a sphere in a stationary flow of a liquid circulating through a hole in a solid. A formula for the force F, acting on a fixed small body of volume V in a stationary flow with speed v, was obtained by Taylor [3]: F = (T 0 / v)Vv + 1/2V v 2 Here T0 is the kinetic energy of an unbounded liquid in which a body moves with velocity v.
