We study the scaling limit for a catalytic branching particle system whose particles perform random walks on Z and can branch at 0 only. Varying the initial (finite) number of particles, we get for this system different limiting distributions. To be more specific, suppose that initially there are n^β particles and consider the scaled process Zt^n(·) = Znt(√n·), where Zt is the measure-valued process 1 and to a representing the original particle system. We prove that Ztn converges to 0 when β 〈1/4 and to a nondegenerate discrete distribution when β=1/4.In addition,if 1/4〈β〈1/2 then n-^(2β-1/2)Zt^n converges to a random limit,while if β 〉21then n^-βZtn converges to a deterministic limit.  相似文献

Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles (10-30 nm) have been prepared via mechanochemical processing, using a mixture of two single-phase ferrites, MnFe2O4 and ZnFe2O4. SQUID measurements (field-cooled magnetization curves and hysteresis loops) were performed to follow the mechanically induced evolution of the MnFe2O4/ZnFe2O4 mixture submitted to the high-energy milling process. The resulting single MnZn nanoferrite phase was characterized by SQUID (M-H curve), Faraday balance (M-T curve) and transmission electron microscopy. The magnetic characteristics of the mechanosynthesized material were compared with those of bulk Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4. It was found that the saturation magnetization of nanostructured Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 (87.2 emu/g) is lower than that of the bulk Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4, but, the Néel temperature of the sample (583 K) is higher than that of the bulk Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4.  相似文献

Tomographic probability representation is introduced for fermion fields. The states of the fermions are mapped onto the probability distribution of discrete random variables (spin projections). The operators acting on the fermion states are described by fermionic tomographic symbols. The product of the operators acting on the fermion states is mapped onto the star-product of the fermionic symbols. The kernel of the star-product is obtained. The antisymmetry of the fermion states is formulated as a specific symmetry property of the tomographic joint probability distribution associated with the states.  相似文献

A new method for the ultrasonic enhancement of oil recovery from failing wells is described. The technology involves lowering a source of power ultrasound to the bottom of the well either for a short treatment before removal or as a permanent placement for intermittent use. In wells where the permeability is above 20 mD and the porosity is greater than 15% ultrasonic treatment can increase oil production by up to 50% and in some cases even more. For wells of lower permeability and porosity ultrasonic treatment alone is less successful but high production rates can be achieved when ultrasound is applied in conjunction with chemicals. An average productivity increase of nearly 3 fold can be achieved for this type of production well using the combined ultrasound with chemical treatment technology.  相似文献

Spiral phase elements with topological charges based on space-variant Pancharatnam-Berry phase optical elements are presented. Such elements can be achieved by use of continuous computer-generated space-variant subwavelength dielectric gratings. The thermodynamically favored reaction of solid strontium oxide with gaseous hydrogen sulfide is kinetically enhanced to a large degree by the use of higher surface area nanocrystalline SrO in the form of brush-like collections of metal oxide fibers. An unusual feature is that the reaction SrO + H2S SrS + H2O proceeds stoichiometrically at room temperature, but at higher temperatures the reaction efficiency goes down, apparently due to rapid temperature induced crystal growth of the nanocrystalline SrO. We develop an asymptotic theory of nonlinear operator differential equations of an arbitrary order in Banach spaces. The nonlinear part of the equation is written in a divergent form. It is shown that the main term in an asymptotic representation of solutions at infinity satisfies a finite-dimensional dynamical system perturbed by a small nonlocal operator.  相似文献

This paper outlines a new principle for damping lateral vibrations of rotary systems. According to this principle, no changes in the visco-elastic properties of the system to be damped are required. The method is based on the generation of a harmonic additive to the constant speed of rotation that provides significant damping of lateral vibrations at critical speeds of rotation. This concept is validated analytically using the method of averaging and additionally with the help of direct numerical integration. The solution is shown to represent Fourier series containing Bessel functions. Consequently, proper choice of the parameters of the additional harmonic component ensuring that the Bessel functions have minimum values results from a minimization of the solution itself. Thus, the analytical solution and numerical results prove this concept by showing an essential decrease of the amplitudes of lateral vibrations of the damped system compared with those of the undamped system. The physical explanation of this effect is presented.  相似文献
