This paper describes a coupling framework for parallel execution of different solvers for multi-physics and multi-domain simulations with an arbitrary number of adjacent zones connected by different physical or overlapping interfaces. The coupling architecture is based on the execution of several instances of the same coupling code and relies on the use of smart edges (i.e., separate processes) dedicated to managing the exchange of information between two adjacent regions. The collection of solvers and coupling sessions forms a flexible and modular system, where the data exchange is handled by independent servers that are dedicated to a single interface connecting two solvers’ sessions. Accuracy and performance of the strategy is considered for turbomachinery applications involving Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) analysis and Sliding Plane (SP) interfaces.  相似文献

Using the method of positions of the complex singularities, we identify a class of new, exact solutions of the Flierl-Petviashvili equation. The solutions are periodic and have the geometry of the zonal flow. We examine the physical properties and find that the solution can reproduce data from experimental observations and numerical simulations.  相似文献

We consider a general form of the local gradient theory for structural forces in thin fluid films near the critical point. A complete analytical solution of this problem at separation distances substantially larger than the molecular size is presented. That is, pi= -[330Psi(-4)H(8.8923-Psi) + 384exp(-Psi)H(Psi-8.8923)]H(-Gamma)+[1134.36Psi(-4)H(8.8923-Psi + 192exp(-Psi)H(Psi-8.8923)]H(Gamma) where Gamma <0 for similar (both attractive or both repulsive) and Gamma >0 for dissimilar (one attractive, another repulsive) bounding surfaces. Here pi and Psi are the structural force and the separation distance scaled in a certain way, and H(.) is a unit step function. For binary polymer films, the results are further elaborated to include a scaling dependence of the structural force on polymerization degrees of components.  相似文献

Silver nanoparticles are of high importance due to their electrical, magnetic, and optical properties, as well as catalytic and biocidal activity that are superior to the bulk silver and other metals. To prepare certain devices, generally, silver is incorporated into a matrix either as preformed or in situ‐generated particles. Silver nanoparticles were generated in situ into a silicone matrix formed by cohydrolysis of the mixture of silanes, each of them having a certain role: dimethyldiethoxysilane (DMDES) as a precursor for highly flexible polydimethylsiloxane, methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) as a cross‐linker highly compatible with polydimethylsiloxane, and 3‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane as a stabilizer, since it can readily complex to silver atoms through its amine functionality. Dimethylformamide (DMF) was used as a solvent for the silver nitrate and reducing agent. The samples were investigated both in sol state and as aged coating films deposited on glass substrate. The complexation of the silver and the matrix formation were emphasized by FTIR. The size of the formed silicone particles encapsulating silver was estimated by dynamic light scattering (DLS) (about 100 nm) in sol and by AFM in film (about 90 nm). The formation of the clusters or nanoparticles depending on the ratio between the reducing and complexing agents was evidenced by UV–Vis absorption spectra. Thus, it would create conditions to stop and isolate clusters at the desired size by precise control of the experimental conditions. The composites could be used alone as antibacterial‐coating materials but also, porous silica having incorporated silver clusters with potential applicability in catalysis may result after their calcination. The work is devoted to luminescent properties of trivalent lanthanide complexes dispersed in thermoplastic host matrices. Polyethylene films and polypropylene‐rods, both doped with these complexes, were manufactured using an extrusion technique. Two kinds of dopants were used: Eu(III)‐thenoyltrifluoroacetone‐1,10‐phenanthroline complex (1) and Eu(III)‐La(III)‐1,10‐phenanthroline complex (2). Absorption, excitation, emission spectra and lifetime of luminescence were studied. The impact of the polymer matrix on the emission spectra was investigated. Emission spectra of the films were studied at room and helium temperatures. Time‐of‐flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF‐SIMS) surface mapping showed that in the Eu(III)‐La(III) complex europium forms islands (clusters) with a dimension of 1 µm, whereas lanthanum was dispersed more uniformly in the polymer matrix. Two new polymeric structures containing ferrocene units along the chains, namely poly(silyl ester)s, have been synthesized and characterized: a geminal poly(silyl ester) (g-PSE) and one having a disiloxane spacer between the silyl ester groups (s-PSE). The condensation polymerization of AA/BB monomer systems in solution was used in both cases as preparation method involving a silicon-containing diol, (diphenylsilane diol or 1,3-bis(hydroxy)-tetramethyldisiloxane), and 1,1′-di(chlorocarbonyl)ferrocene. The polymers were investigated by differential pulse voltammetry in order to evaluate the redox behavior. Due to the presence of the silyl ester groups in the chain, these polymers are hydrolytically degradable.  相似文献

Multi-component oxide ceramics and epitaxial oxide thin films are analyzed by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS). Furthermore, pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) of thin films is investigated by long-term monitoring of the optical plasma emission. Both nano-composite high-temperature superconductors (HTS) consisting of YBa2Cu3O7 − δ bulk and Y2Ba4MCuOx (M-2411, M = Ag, Nb) nano-particles, and semiconducting ZnO doped with Aluminum and Lithium are ablated by nano-second laser pulses. The plasma emission is recorded using grating spectrometers with intensified gated detectors. The LIBS signals of nano-particles correlate with the nominal content of the M-2411 phase (0–15 mol%) and reveal a strong signal of Ytterbium impurity (3–35 ppm). In situ monitoring of the PLD process shows element signals that are stable for more than 10,000 laser pulses for both HTS and ZnO ceramics. The relative concentration of elements in thin films and ceramics as determined by LIBS is almost the same.  相似文献

Pepsin was immobilized on BIOZAN R (Hercules) with dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as activator. The reaction product obtained has a protein content of 35–110 mg/g of polymer and a proteolytic activity between 20.85–28.75 μmol tyrosine/L·min·g of polymer). The coupling reaction rate is maximum under the following conditions: pepsin/BIOZAN R ratio = 0.52 g/g, DCCI/BIOZAN R ratio = 0.2 g/g, pH = 3.4, reaction time = 4 h.  相似文献

Photothermal characteristics and light‐induced structural (volume) changes of carotenoid‐containing and noncontaining photosynthetic reaction centers (RCs) were investigated by wide frequency band hydrophone. We found that the presence of carotenoid either does not play considerable role in the light‐induced conformational movements, or these rearrangements are too slow for inducing a photoacoustic (PA) signal. The kinetic component with a few tens of microseconds, exhibited by the carotenoid‐less RCs, appears to be similar to that of triplet state lifetimes, identified by other methods. The binding of terbutryn to the acceptor side is shown to affect the dynamics of the RC. Our results do not confirm large displacements or volume changes induced by the charge movements and by the charge relaxation processes in the RCs in few hundreds of microseconds time scale that accompanies the electron transfer between the primary and secondary electron acceptor quinones.  相似文献

Polylactic acid (PLA) was used as partial replacement for conventional thermoplastic matrix, new composites comprising cellulose, polypropylene (PP), and PLA being realized. In order to obtain a compatible interface between cellulosic pulp and polymeric matrix, two chemical modifications of cellulose with stearoyl chloride and toluene di‐isocyanate (TDI) were performed, structural changes being evidenced by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The composite materials were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, dynamic scanning calorimetry, impact, tensile and melt rheological tests, surface tension, and dynamic vapor sorption. Because promising results for impact strength and Young modulus were recorded when replacing 15% of PP with PLA in blends of PP with the same cellulosic pulp load, the aim of our study was to assess the behavior to accelerate weathering of composites comprising PP, cellulosic pulp, and PLA. Although the slight decrease in the mechanical properties was recorded after accelerated weathering, the use of functionalized cellulose successfully prevented the deterioration of surface materials, especially for composite comprising stearoyl chloride treated cellulose pulp.
