Starting from closely related metal-ligand combinations, completely different oligomeric metal clusters are synthesized. Whereas, picoline-tetrazolylamide HL(1) (1) and zinc or nickel acetate afforded [2x2] grids [M(4)(L(1))(8)] (2), slightly different N-(2-methylthiazole-5-yl)-thiazole-2-carboxamide HL(2) (5 a) and nickel acetate yielded the monometallic complex [Ni(L(2))(2)(OH(2))(2)] (6). In contrast, reaction of 5 a with zinc acetate produced the tetrametallic zinc cluster [Zn(4)O(L(2))(4)(OAc)(2)] (7). Even more surprising, when 3-methyl-substituted HL(3) (5 b) instead of 2-methyl-substituted HL(2) (5 a) was allowed to react under identical conditions with zinc acetate, the cluster [Zn(4)O(L(3))(4)Cl(2)] (8) crystallized from dichloromethane. Clusters 7 and 8 are isostructural. As for 7, in 8 two of the edges of the tetrahedron of zinc ions are doubly bridged, two are singly bridged, and the other two are nonbridged. On the other hand, when iron(II) acetate under aerobic conditions was allowed to react with 5 a, the unprecedented complex [[Fe(3)O(L(2))(2)(OAc)(4)](2)O] (9) was isolated. Cluster 9 is composed of two trimetallic, triangular mu(3)-O(2-)-centered [Fe(3)O(L(2))(2)(OAc)(4)](+) modules, linked by an almost linear mu(2)-O(2-) bridge. The M?ssbauer spectrum together with cyclic voltammetric and square-wave voltammetric measurements of 9 are reported, and 6-9 were characterized unequivocally by single-crystal X-ray structure analyses. 相似文献

In situ Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy complemented by Electrochemical Quartz Microbalance (EQMB) investigations allowed a detailed insight into the influence of the electrode potential on competing adsorption processes and bonding mechanisms of buffer ions and S-layer protein molecules of Lysinibacillus sphaericus CCM2177 at an electrified liquid/gold interface. The S-layer proteins adsorb on gold polarized positively of the point of zero charge by displacing perchlorate anions in the Helmholtz plane by their carboxylate groups. This is indicated by an increase of the peptide and carboxylate infrared absorption signals accompanied by a decrease of the perchlorate signal. S-layers interlinked laterally with Ca(2+) ions, positive of the point of zero charge, resulted in the formation of a crystalline layer participating in the Helmholtz layer. In contrast to the absence of the Ca(2+)-linkers, S-layers remain structurally intact also in the negative polarization domain where the Helmholtz layer is solely sustained by mainly solvated cations without participation of the negatively charged protein carboxylate functions. 相似文献

The preparation and X‐ray analysis of the title compound, [Sn2Br4(CH3)4(C5H9NO)], are described. The compound contains two Sn atoms in the asymmetric unit, that complexed by N‐methylpyrrolidin‐2‐one being hexacoordinated (a), the other exhibiting pentacoordination (b). The most important features are three different Sn—Br bond lengths at both Sn atoms with the following values: (a) 2.5060 (9), 2.7152 (10) and 3.7118 (10) Å; (b) 2.5084 (10), 2.5279 (9) and 3.5841 (10) Å. 相似文献

Unprecedented phosphine-catalyzed [4+1] cycloadditions of allenyl imides have been discovered using various N-based substrates including methyl ketimines, enamines, and a primary amine. These transformations provide a one-pot access to cyclopentenoyl enamines and imines, or (chiral) γ-lactams through two geminal C−C bond or two C−N bond formations, respectively. Several P-based key intermediates including a 1,4-(bis)electrophilic α,β-unsaturated ketenyl phosphonium species have been detected by 31P NMR and HRMS analyses, which shed light on the postulated catalytic cycle. The synthetic utility of this new chemistry has been demonstrated through a gram-scaling up of the catalytic reaction as well as regioselective hydrogenation and double condensation to form cyclopentanoyl enamines and fused pyrazole building blocks, respectively. 相似文献

By reaction of KC(2)H and K(2)Zn(CN)(4) in liquid ammonia, the diammoniate K(2)Zn(C(2)H)(4).2NH(3) was obtained. K(2)Cd(C(2)H)(4).2NH(3) was synthesized by reacting KC(2)H, Cd(NH(2))(2), and acetylene in liquid ammonia. The crystal structures of the air and temperature sensitive compounds were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction at low temperatures (T = 170 K). Both compounds crystallize in the monoclinic space group I2/a (No. 15) with Z = 4. K(2)Zn(C(2)H)(4).2NH(3): a = 7.289(1) A, b = 12.765(2) A, c = 14.066(2) A, beta = 98.11(2) degrees. K(2)Cd(C(2)H)(4).2NH(3): a = 7.444(1) A, b = 12.619(3) A, c = 14.304(2) A, beta = 98.94(1) degrees. Characteristic structural motifs are tetrahedral [M(C(2)H)(4)](2-) fragments (M = Zn, Cd) and zigzag chains of edge sharing distorted (C(2)H)(6) octahedra centered by potassium ions. The biological generation of oxygen by the oxygen-evolving complex in photosystem II (PS II) is one of nature's most important reactions. The recent X-ray crystal structures, while limited by resolutions of 3.2-3.5 A, have located the electron density associated with the Mn4Ca cluster within the multiprotein PS II complex. Detailed structures critically depend on input from spectroscopic techniques, such as EXAFS and EPR/ENDOR, as the XRD resolution does not allow for accurate determination of the position of Mn/Ca or the bridging and terminal ligand atoms. The number and distances of Mn-Mn/Ca/ligand interactions determined from EXAFS provide important constraints for the structure of the Mn4Ca cluster. Here, we present data from a high-resolution EXAFS method using a novel multicrystal monochromator that show three short Mn-Mn distances between 2.7 and 2.8 A and, hence, the presence of three di-mu-oxo-bridged units in the Mn4Ca cluster. This result imposes clear limitations on the proposed structures based on spectroscopic and diffraction data and provides input for refining such structures. 相似文献
