The electronic structures and spectroscopic properties of the three tridentate cyclometalated Pt(II) complexes Pt(N/\N/\C)C(triple bond)CPh (N/\N/\CH = 6-phenyl-2,2'-bipyridine) (1), Pt(N/\N/\S)C(triple bond)CPh (N/\N/\SH = 6-thienyl-2,2'-bipyridine) (2), and Pt(N/\N/\O)C(triple bond)CPh (N/\N/\OH = 6-furyl-2,2'-bipyridine) (3) were investigated theoretically using the density functional theory (DFT) method. The geometric structures of the complexes in the ground and excited states were explored at the B3LYP and UB3LYP levels, respectively. The absorption and emission spectra of the complexes in CH2Cl2 and CH3CN solutions were calculated by time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) with the PCM solvent model. The calculated energies of the lowest singlet state and lowest triplet state in the three complexes are in good agreement with the results of experimental absorption and luminescence studies. All of the lowest-lying transitions were categorized as LLCT combined with MLCT transitions. The 623-nm emission of 1 from the 3A' --> 1A' transition was assigned as 3LLCT and 3MLCT transitions, whereas the 657- and 681-nm emissions of 2 and 3, respectively, were attributed to 3ILCT perturbed by 3MLCT transitions. NLO response calculations revealed that the nonzero values of the static first hyperpolarizability (beta0) for 1-3 are greatly enhanced through the introduction of the metal Pt(II) into the cyclometalated ligands, an effect that is determined by MLCT and LLCT transitions.  相似文献

A nanogapped microelectrode-based biosensor array is fabricated for ultrasensitive electrical detection of microRNAs (miRNAs). After peptide nucleic acid (PNA) capture probes were immobilized in nanogaps of a pair of interdigitated microelectrodes and hybridization was performed with their complementary target miRNA, the deposition of conducting polymer nanowires, polyaniline (PAn) nanowires, is carried out by an enzymatically catalyzed method, where the electrostatic interaction between anionic phosphate groups in miRNA and cationic aniline molecules is exploited to guide the formation of the PAn nanowires onto the hybridized target miRNA. The conductance of the deposited PAn nanowires correlates directly to the amount of the hybridized miRNA. Under optimized conditions, the target miRNA can be quantified in a range from 10 fM to 20 pM with a detection limit of 5.0 fM. The biosensor array is applied to the direct detection of miRNA in total RNA extracted from cancer cell lines.  相似文献

Three rigid and structurally simple heterocyclic stilbene derivatives, (E)-3H,3′H-[1,1′-biisobenzofuranylidene]-3,3′-dione, (E)-3-(3-oxobenzo[c] thiophen-1(3H)-ylidene)isobenzofuran-1(3H)-one, and (E)-3H,3′H-[1,1′-bibenzo[c] thiophenylidene]-3,3′-dione, are found to fluoresce in their neat solid phases, from upper (S2) and lowest (S1) singlet excited states, even at room temperature in air. Photophysical studies, single-crystal structures, and theoretical calculations indicate that large energy gaps between S2 and S1 states (T2 and T1 states) as well as an abundance of intra and intermolecular hydrogen bonds suppress internal conversions of the upper excited states in the solids and make possible the fluorescence from S2 excited states (phosphorescence from T2 excited states). These results, including unprecedented fluorescence quantum yields (2.3–9.6 %) from the S2 states in the neat solids, establish a unique molecular skeleton for achieving multi-colored emissions from upper excited states by “suppressing” Kasha's rule.  相似文献

Inspired by the cubic Mn4CaO5 cluster of natural oxygen‐evolving complex in Photosystem II, tetrametallic molecular water oxidation catalysts, especially M4O4 cubane‐like clusters (M=transition metals), have aroused great interest in developing highly active and robust catalysts for water oxidation. Among these M4O4 clusters, however, copper‐based molecular catalysts are poorly understood. Now, bio‐inspired Cu4O4 cubanes are presented as effective molecular catalysts for electrocatalytic water oxidation in aqueous solution (pH 12). The exceptional catalytic activity is manifested with a turnover frequency (TOF) of 267 s?1 for [(LGly‐Cu)4] at 1.70 V and 105 s?1 for [(LGlu‐Cu)4] at 1.56 V. Electrochemical and spectroscopic study revealed a successive two‐electron transfer process in the Cu4O4 cubanes to form high‐valent CuIII and CuIIIO. intermediates during the catalysis.  相似文献

Etherification of nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) with three kinds of quaternary ammonium salts epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride, N,N‐dimethyl‐N‐dodecyl‐N‐(1,2‐epoxypropyl) ammonium chloride (DMDEPAC), and N,N‐dimethyl‐N‐octadecyl‐N‐(1,2‐epoxypropyl) ammonium chloride (DMOEPAC) was successfully performed via a nucleophilic addition reaction. The synthesized DMDEPAC and DMOEPAC were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance. The modified NCC particles, NCC epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride, NCC‐DMDEPAC, and NCC‐DMOEPAC, were characterized by energy dispersive spectrometer. Nanocomposite films based on chitosan (CS) containing quaternary ammonium salts modified NCC were prepared with nanoparticle loadings of 5.0, 7.5, and 10.0%, respectively. The effect of nanoparticle content on the tensile strength of composite films was studied. The results indicated that the films with 5.0% nanoparticle loading exhibited the biggest increase in tensile strength. Surface morphology, smoothness, and antibacterial properties of composite films containing 5% modified NCC were also studied. CS/NCC‐DMDEPAC‐5.0 and CS/NCC‐DMOEPAC‐5.0 displayed excellent biocidal abilities against both Gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538) and Gram‐negative Escherichia coli O157:H7 (ATCC 43895). The bio‐based nanocomposite films with increased mechanical strength and excellent antibacterial properties show great potential as food packaging materials. Matching the impedance of a medium to free space, which is usually not available in natural materials, is an important advance in metamaterials. In this paper, we present a simple mechanism for a perfect impedance-matched left-handed metamaterials, that reveals a nearly zero reflection over operating frequency.
