Support vector machine (SVM) has attracted considerable attentions recently due to its successful applications in various domains. However, by maximizing the margin of separation between the two classes in a binary classification problem, the SVM solutions often suffer two serious drawbacks. First, SVM separating hyperplane is usually very sensitive to training samples since it strongly depends on support vectors which are only a few points located on the wrong side of the corresponding margin boundaries. Second, the separating hyperplane is equidistant to the two classes which are considered equally important when optimizing the separating hyperplane location regardless the number of training data and their dispersions in each class. In this paper, we propose a new SVM solution, adjusted support vector machine (ASVM), based on a new loss function to adjust the SVM solution taking into account the sample sizes and dispersions of the two classes. Numerical experiments show that the ASVM outperforms conventional SVM, especially when the two classes have large differences in sample size and dispersion.  相似文献

The full perturbation expansion for the response (or density—density correlation) function is examined in order to provide a useful general theory of excitation energies, oscillator strengths, dynamic polarizabilities, etc., that is more accurate than the random phase approximation. It is first shown how the formal partition of the diagrammatic version of the perturbation expansion into reducible and irreducible diagrams is generally useless as the latter category contains all the difficult terms which have heretofore resisted analysis in all but a haphazard form. It is then shown how the diagram for the response function can be partitioned into “correlated” and “uncorrelated” subsets. Restricting attention to the particle—hole blocks of the full response function, the “uncorrelated” diagrams desecribe the propagation of a particle—hole pair in an N-electron system where the particle and hole are each interacting with the remaining electrons but they are not interacting with each other. The “correlated” diagrams are those containing the hole—particle interactions, and, by defining a new class of reducible and irreducible diagrams, these are all summed to provide a perturbation expansion of the effective two-body hole—particle interaction that appears in the inverse of the response function. The “uncorrelated” diagrams are further partitioned into two sets, one of which is summed to all orders, while the other set is inverted in an order by order fashion. The final result presents a perturbation expansion for the inverse of the response function that is analogous to the Dyson equation for one-electron Green functions. Maintaining the perturbation expansion through first order for the inverse of the response function yields the eigenvalue equation of the familiar random phase approximation, while truncation at second order provides the most advanced theories that have been generated by the equations-of-motion method.  相似文献

This paper presents the application of anisotropic damage theory to the study of forming limit diagram of A12024T3 aluminum alloy sheet. In the prediction of limiting strains of the aluminum sheet structure, a finite element cell model has been constructed. The cell model consists of two phases, the aluminum alloy matrix and the intermetallic cluster. The material behavior of the aluminum alloy matrix is described with a fully coupled elasto-plastic damage constitutive equation. The intermetallic cluster is assumed to be elastic and brittle. By varying the stretching ratio, the limiting strains of the sheet under biaxial stretching have been predicted by using the necking criterion proposed. The prediction is in good agreement with the experimental findings. Moreover, the finite element cell model can provide information for understanding the microscopic damage mechanism of the aluminum alloy. Over-estimation of the limit strains may result if the effect of material damage is ignored in the sheet metal forming study.  相似文献

A sensitive analytical method for the determination of tetrodotoxin (TTX) in urine and plasma matrices was developed using double solid phase extraction (C18 and hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography) and subsequent analysis by HPLC coupled with tandem mass spectrometry. The double SPE sample cleanup efficiently reduced matrix and ion suppression effects. Together with the use of ion pair reagent in the mobile phase, isocratic elution became possible which enabled a shorter analysis time of 5.5 min per sample. The assay results were linear up to 500 ng mL−1 for urine and 20 ng mL−1 for plasma. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were 0.13 ng mL−1 and 2.5 ng mL−1, respectively, for both biological matrices. Recoveries were in the range of 75-81%. To eliminate the effect of dehydration and variations in urinary output, urinary creatinine-adjustment was made. TTX was quantified in eight urine samples and seven plasma samples from eight patients suspected of having TTX poisoning. TTX was detected in all urine samples, with concentrations ranging from 17.6 to 460.5 ng mL−1, but was not detected in any of the plasma samples. The creatinine-adjusted TTX concentration in urine (ranging from 7.4 to 41.1 ng μmol−1 creatinine) correlated well with the degree of poisoning as observed from clinical symptoms.  相似文献

Three‐dimensional computations have been performed to study the flow through a symmetric sudden expansion with an expansion ratio of 3 at low Reynolds numbers. The aspect ratio of the flow channel is allowed to vary within a wide range to examine its influence on the flow which bifurcates from a symmetric state to an asymmetric state. The results reveal that the critical Reynolds number of the symmetry‐breaking bifurcation increases while the aspect ratio is reduced. The flow behaviour near the side walls is illustrated by using limiting streamlines. The origin of the singular points identifiable on the side wall can be traced back to the recirculating flows and the relevant reattachment/separation points in the core of the channel. It is seen that the determination of the exact critical Reynolds number is not trivial because it depends on how to define asymmetric flow. Computations have also been conducted to show that a slight asymmetry in the channel geometry causes a smooth transition from symmetric to non‐symmetric states. The effect of C60 molecular rotation on the nanotribological properties of C60 single crystal surfaces has been studied by atomic/frictional force microscopy. The orientational order-disorder phase transition, in which the high temperature C60 free rotation is reduced to a low temperature hindered rotation, is shown to give rise to an abrupt change in friction and adhesion. This change in frictional force is quantitatively consistent with the observed change in adhesion. The similar slopes of the friction versus load curves in both phases indicate that the friction coefficient in the two phases remains about the same. Hence the C60 rotation does not provide an additional energy dissipation channel in the friction process.  相似文献

Exploring a two-dimensional hole system in the large r(s) regime we found a surprisingly rich phase diagram. At the highest densities, beside the nu =1/3, 2/3, and 2/5 fractional quantum Hall states, we observe both of the previously reported high field insulating and reentrant insulating phases. As the density is lowered, the reentrant insulating phase initially strengthens, then it unexpectedly starts weakening until it completely disappears. The intricate behavior of the insulating phases can be explained by a nonmonotonic melting line in the nu-r(s) phase space.  相似文献
