Chromatic-distortion compensation in splitting and focusing of femtosecond pulses by use of a pair of diffractive optical elements 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We propose a simple optical system to compensate for chromatic distortion that occurs during fan-out of femtosecond pulses by diffractive optics. The proposed system comprises a pair of diffractive elements, one for splitting an incoming pulse and the other for focusing the split pulses. With an appropriate separation between the elements, chromatic distortion resulting from the spectral bandwidth of a femtosecond pulse is removed, and an array of focused pulses with the same dimensions can be obtained. The theory has been verified through optical and processing experiments with 100-fs, 800-nm pulses. 相似文献

With regard to atom economy and E-factor, catalytic condensation of carboxylic acids with equimolar amounts of alcohols is the most desirable. Although several highly active dehydration catalysts have been reported, more efficient alternatives are still strongly needed because the dehydrative esterification of tertiary alcohols, phenols, acid-sensitive alcohols, amino acids, and hardly soluble alcohols has never proceeded satisfactorily. Here we report new insights into the classical DMAP-catalyzed acylation of alcohols: surprisingly, only a 0.05-2 mol % of DMAP can efficiently promote acylation of alcohols with acid anhydrides under auxiliary base- and solvent-free conditions to give the corresponding esters in high yields. Furthermore, we achieved the recovery and reuse of commercially available polystyrene-supported DMAP without using any solvents. These serendipitous findings provide widely useful and environmentally benign esterification methods, which might be more practical and reliable than catalytic dehydrative condensation methods, in particular, for the less reactive alcohols which hardly condense with carboxylic acid directly. 相似文献

Segment‐segment interaction of poly(methylmethacrylate) in t‐butyl alcohol‐water mixtures in poor solvent regime was studied. From the small‐angle X‐ray scattering measurements of semidilute solution range, the binary and ternary cluster integrals of polymer segments were determined from concentration dependence of the correlation length at various temperatures just above the upper critical solution temperature. We have calculated the contributions of the segment–segment interaction to the entropy and enthalpy from the measured temperature dependence of these interaction parameters and found that both quantities are negative and decrease with decreasing t‐butyl alcohol content. FT‐IR absorption peak of carbonyl group of poly(methylmethacrylate) shifts to the lower frequency with increasing water content. Recently, NMR-based metabolomic analysis has been used to acquire information based on differentiation among biological samples. In the present study, we examined whether multivariate analysis was able to be applied to natural products and/or material field. Each extraction of 24 leaf samples, divided into six locations from the tip of the stem in each of four strains, was analyzed by pattern recognition methods, known as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Soft Independent Modeling of Class Analogy (SIMCA). Twenty-four extracts from mulberry leaf showed independent spectra by 1H NMR. The separation of leaf extraction data due to the difference at six locations was achieved in the PCA score plot as correlation PC1 (86.1%) and PC3 (4.6%) and showed two loading plots, suggesting classification by leaf position as an independent variable in the loading plot. Moreover, the difference among six locations clarified the seven highest discrimination powers by the SIMCA method. Meanwhile, the PCA score plot obtained classification by the variety of mulberry strains with three loading plots, but the SIMCA method did not give a peak by classification. 相似文献

We present the first upper limit on gravitational wave (GW) backgrounds at an unexplored frequency of 0.2 Hz using a torsion-bar antenna (TOBA). A TOBA was proposed to search for low-frequency GWs. We have developed a small-scaled TOBA and successfully found Ω(gw)(f)<4.3×10(17) at 0.2 Hz as demonstration of the TOBA's capabilities, where Ω(gw)(f) is the GW energy density per logarithmic frequency interval in units of the closure density. Our result is the first nonintegrated limit to bridge the gap between the LIGO band (around 100 Hz) and the Cassini band (10(-6)-10(-4) Hz). 相似文献
