Hybrid organically bridged silica membranes have attracted considerable attention because of their high performances in a variety of applications. Development of robust reverse osmosis (RO) membranes to withstand aggressive operating conditions is still a major challenge. Here, a new type of microporous organosilica membrane has been developed and applied in reverse osmosis. Sol-gel derived organosilica RO membranes reject isopropanol with rejection higher than 95%, demonstrating superior molecular sieving ability for neutral solutes of low molecular weight. Due to the introduction of an inherently stable hybrid network structure, the membrane withstands higher temperatures in comparison with commercial polyamide RO membranes, and is resistant to water to at least 90 °C with no obvious changes in filtration performance. Furthermore, both an accelerated chlorine-resistance test and Fourier transform infrared analysis confirm excellent chlorine stability in this material, which demonstrates promise for a new generation of chlorine-resistant RO membrane materials.  相似文献

In this study, we investigated the dynamics of a membrane interface of liposomes prepared by eight zwitterionic phosphatidylcholines in terms of their headgroup mobility, with spectroscopic methods such as dielectric dispersion analysis (DDA), fluorescence spectroscopy. The DDA measurement is based on the response of the permanent dipole moment to a driving electric field and could give the information on the axial rotational Brownian motion of a headgroup with the permanent dipole moment. This motion depended on kinds of phospholipids, the diameter of the liposomes, and the temperature. The activation energy required to overcome the intermolecular force between headgroups of phospholipids depended on the strength of the interaction between headgroups such as hydrogen bonds and/or dipole-dipole interaction. Hydration at the phosphorous group of phospholipid and the molecular order of lipid membrane impaired the interaction between headgroups. Furthermore, the hydrophobicity of membrane surface increased parallel to the increase in headgroup mobility. It is, therefore, concluded that hydration of headgroup promoted its mobility to make the membrane surface hydrophobic. The lipid membrane in liquid crystalline phase or the lipid membrane with the larger curvature was more hydrophobic.  相似文献

The surface properties of Span 80 vesicles at various cholesterol contents, together with those of various liposomes, were characterized by using fluorescence probes. The membrane fluidity of the Span 80 vesicles was measured by 1,6-diphenyl-1.3.5-hexatriene (DPH) and trimethlyammonium-DPH (TMA-DPH), and the results suggested that the surface of the Span 80 vesicles was fluid due to the lateral diffusion of Span 80 molecules. The depolarization measured by TMA-DPH and the headgroup mobility measured by dielectric dispersion analysis indicated the high mobility of the head group of Span 80 vesicles. This suggested that the surface of Span 80 vesicles was flexible due to the head group structure of Span 80, sorbitol. In addition, spectrophotometric analysis with 6-dodecanoyl-N, N-dimethyl-2-naphthylamine and 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonic acid indicated that the water molecules could easily invade into the interior of the Span 80 vesicle membrane, suggesting that the membrane surface was more wet than the liposome surface. These surface properties indicated that the protein could interact with the interior of vesicle membranes, which was similar to the case of cholesterol. Thus the present results confirmed that the Span 80 vesicle surfaces showed the unique characteristics of fluidity, flexibility, and "wetness", whereas the liposome surfaces did not.  相似文献

Auto-transplantation of adipose tissue is commonly used for the treatment of tissue defects in plastic surgery. The survival of the transplanted adipose tissue is not always constant, and one of reasons is the accelerated apoptosis of the implanted preadipocytes. We have recently established highly homogeneous preadipocytes, named ccdPAs. The aim of the current study was to evaluate the regulation of the potency of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on the apoptosis of ccdPAs in vitro. PRP stimulated the proliferation of the preadipocytes in a dose-dependent manner, and the stimulatory activity of 2% PRP was significantly higher than that of 2% FBS or 2% platelet-poor plasma (PPP). The presence of 2% PRP significantly inhibited serum starvation- or TNF-α/cycloheximide-induced apoptosis in comparison to 2% FBS or 2% PPP. DAPK1 and Bcl-2-interacting mediator of cell death (BIM) mRNAs were reduced in the preadipocytes cultured with 2% PRP in comparison to those cultured in 2% FBS. The gene expression levels were significantly higher in cells cultured without serum in comparison to cells cultured with 2% FBS, and the levels in the cells with 2% PRP were reduced to 5-10% of those in the cells without serum. These results indicated that ccdPAs exhibit anti- apoptotic activities, in addition to increased proliferation, when cultured in 2% PRP in comparison to the same concentration of FBS, and that this was accompanied with reduced levels of DAPK1 and BIM mRNA expression in in vitro culture. PRP may improve the outcome of transplantation of adipose tissue by enhancing the anti-apoptotic activities of the implanted preadipocytes.  相似文献

The photocleavage of the CBr bond in bromoacetylnaphthalene is investigated by transient absorption and time resolved EPR spectroscopy. In the transient absorption of 2-bromo-2′-acetylnaphthalene, the absorption band observed at λmax ~440 nm is assigned to the triplet state of the parent molecule. After decay of the triplet absorption, a long lived absorption band is observed at λmax ~380 nm, which is assigned to naphthoylmethyl radical. The yield of this radical is not dependent on the concentration of oxygen even though the absorption band of the triplet state was quenched by addition of oxygen. Thus we conclude that the spin multiplicity of the precursor molecule is singlet. The CW time resolved EPR spectrum shows a typical E?/A CIDEP pattern of three hyperfine lines of the naphthoylmethyl radical. This result suggests some contribution from triplet precursor molecules. However, a careful analysis of the time profile of the CIDEP intensity observed by FT-EPR revealed that the polarization is generated from the radical pair mechanism (RPM) from the encountered pair of two free naphthoylmethyl radicals and the radical-triplet pair mechanism. RPM polarization by the geminate radical pair, formed by the Br atom and the naphthoylmethyl radical, is not observed. This fact indicates that large spin-orbit coupling (Δg and/or fast spin relaxation by g anisotropy) spoils the RPM polarization. The finding is in contrast to the recent observation of RPM polarization in the Cl cleavage reaction of 1-(chloromethyl)naphthalene.  相似文献

A glycosphingolipid analogue (12‐azidododecyl β‐lactoside) as a saccharide primer has been shown to be useful for the synthesis of oligosaccharide libraries by mammalian cells. In the present study, CE‐ESI‐MS was employed to elucidate the structure of glycosphingolipid analogues derived from 12‐azidododecyl β‐lactoside (Lac‐C12N3) by mammalian cells. MDCK cells and COLO201 cells were cultured with Lac‐C12N3, and the glycosylated products secreted into the medium were collected and separated into acidic and neutral products by column chromatography. The acidic products could be directly analyzed by CE‐ESI‐MS, while the neutral products were converted to anionic derivatives via a reaction with propiolic acid. With this method, it was possible to analyze both acidic and neutral products glycosylated by MDCK cells and COLO201 cells at high sensitivity.  相似文献

The shot-to-shot DAQ must be synchronized with the repetition rate of the XFEL source, typically several tens to one hundred Hz for the machine based on normal-conducting accelerators. Shot-to-shot recording of XFEL pulse characteristics is also essential because they fluctuate due to the stochastic nature of a self-amplified spontaneous emission (SASE). Objective: The study aim was to investigate the association between initiating mobilization within 7 days after onset and symptomatic cerebral vasospasm (SCV) in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Methods: This was a retrospective multicenter case-control study in Japan. Patients with a diagnosis of aSAH who underwent physical therapy with/without occupational therapy were included and categorized into 2 groups according to the presence or absence of SCV. Initiating mobilization was defined as sitting on the bed edge (at least once, with/without assist, regardless of duration) within 7 days after aSAH onset. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was performed to evaluate the association between initiating mobilization within 7 days after onset and SCV. Results: The analysis included 510 patients. Among all included patients, 57 (11.2%) patients had SCV. In the univariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis, initiating of mobilization was not associated with SCV (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.78; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.45–1.32). In the multivariate analysis, only the modified Fisher scale was significantly associated with SCV (HR = 26.23; 95% CI = 1.21–571.0). Conclusion: Initiating mobilization within 7 days after aSAH onset was not associated with SCV in patients with aSAH.  相似文献
