Nanocrystalline BaTiO3 particles modified with polarizable ligands were synthesized through hydrolysis of modified metal–organics below 100°C. BaTiO3 precursor was synthesized from barium metal, titanium isopropoxide and polarizable ligands in a mixture of ethanol and 2-ethoxyethanol. The modified Ba–Ti complex alkoxide was hydrolyzed yielding BaTiO3 particles modified with organics. The crystallinty of nanometer-sized particles was dependent upon the hydrolysis conditions, and increased with increasing water amount and time. The nanocrystalline particles were identified to be BaTiO3 by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electron diffraction. A fluid consisting of modified BaTiO3 particles and silicone oil revealed a typical electrorheological (ER) behavior on applying DC field. The ER behavior was found to depend upon the kind of ligand. 4-Fluorobenzyloxy modifier revealed the highest yield stress in the ER measurement among 4-substitued benzyloxy ligands examined.  相似文献

Positron two-dimensional angular correlation of annihilation radiation (2D ACAR), i.e., the 2D projection of the electron momentum densities sampled by positron, in Si is employed to verify the prediction of the density functional theory within the local-density approximation (LDA). Carefully conducted test shows that the LDA introduces small but definite discrepancies to the 2D-ACAR anisotropies. Self-energy calculation using the GW method indicates that density-fluctuation contributes anisotropic momentum-density correction and thus improves the agreement between theory and experiment. These results provide valuable annotations to the arguments concerning the accuracy and validity of the LDA and GW schemes.  相似文献

We have developed a novel synthetic method of phenylazomethine dendrons that uses 4,4'-methylenedianiline instead of 4,4'-diaminobenzophenone to synthesize the precursor of the phenylazomethine dendron and then oxidized the precursor to the next-generation dendron. For this method, the productivity of the dendrons has been significantly increased. Furthermore, as the synthesis of high-generation dendrons becomes easier, synthesis of DPA G5 was achieved. Event-by-event fluctuations of the average transverse momentum of produced particles near midrapidity have been measured by the PHENIX Collaboration in square root of (sNN)=200 GeV Au+Au, and p+p collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The fluctuations are observed to be in excess of the expectation for statistically independent particle emission for all centralities. The excess fluctuations exhibit a dependence on both the centrality of the collision and on the pT range over which the average is calculated. Both the centrality and pT dependence can be well reproduced by a simulation of random particle production with the addition of contributions from hard-scattering processes.  相似文献

The anisotropy parameter (v(2)), the second harmonic of the azimuthal particle distribution, has been measured with the PHENIX detector in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s(NN)]=200 GeV for identified and inclusive charged particle production at central rapidities (|eta|<0.35) with respect to the reaction plane defined at high rapidities (|eta|=3-4 ). We observe that the v(2) of mesons falls below that of (anti)baryons for p(T)>2 GeV/c, in marked contrast to the predictions of a hydrodynamical model. This paper describes a convenient synthetic procedure for nucleoside mimics, 1-6, in which the 3',5'-hydroxy groups of natural 2'-deoxythymidine or 2'-deoxyadenosine are replaced by thiol, amine, or alkylthiol groups. Such nucleosides would be built up into a single DNA strand with cooperative participation of metal coordination, where internucleoside linkages are replaced by metal complexation motifs. The Auger emission following the resonant excitation of the BCl3 molecule has been investigated using monochromatized synchrotron radiation. The B 1s excitation to the unoccupied Anti-bonding 4e(') orbital enhances the shoulder structure in the low kinetic energy side of the photoemission from the 2e(') valence bonding orbital. Based on a series of quantum mechanical calculations, this shoulder structure is interpreted as the dynamical Auger emission which reflects the B-Cl stretching nuclear motion and appears as a result of the purely multistate vibronic coupling effect among the Jahn-Teller split B 1s(-1)4e(') E' states and the closely lying B 1s(-1)3a(')(1) A'1 state.  相似文献
