A novel highly sensitive method to detect the concentration of trace gas for environmental purposes is proposed. This method includes the application of frequency modulation for stabilization of laser frequency, together with optical heterodyne measurement. The shift of resonance frequency of the Fabry-Perot cavity resonator is due to the change of refractive index, accompanied by the dispersion effect due to the presence of a target gas (e.g., methane, carbon dioxide or nitrogen dioxide) inside the Fabry-Perot cavity.  相似文献

Summary.  The distribution of tetraalkylammonium ions (C n H 2n+1 )4N+ (R +, TAAn +, n = 4–7) with picrate ion (pic ) and inorganic anions X , (Cl, Br, ClO 4), into various inert organic solvents was studied at 25.0°C. The distribution data were analyzed by taking into consideration the distribution of ion pairs, R + · X , and the dimerization of the ion pairs, (R + · X )2, in the organic phase. The ion-pair, distribution constant, K dist, increases with increasing chain length of the tetraalkylammonium ion and with increasing ionic radius of the anion. The values of K dist show a good correlation with the E T value of solvent, i.e. the solvation ability with respect to the anion, and smoothly increase with increasing E T. The effect of the solvent on the dimerization constants, K dim, is markedly different between the ion pairs of picrate ion and inorganic anions. In the case of picrate, K dim significantly decreases with decreasing length of the alkyl chain of the tetraalkylammonium ion, but hardly changes by changing the solvent. On the other hand, in the case of ion pairs of inorganic anions the value of K dim decreases with decreasing E T and is almost constant for all anions. These results were reasonably explained by the difference of the solvation of the anion moieties of the monomeric and dimeric ion pairs. Received May 15, 2001. Fluorine-containing amphiphilic block copolymers, poly(sodium methacrylate)-block-poly(nonafluorohexyl methacrylate) (NaMAm-b-NFHMAn) (m:n = 61:12, 72:33, 64:57), and the corresponding non-fluorine-containing amphiphilic block copolymer, poly(sodium methacrylate)-block-poly(hexyl methacrylate) (NaMAm-b-HMAn) (m:n = 64:10, 69:37, 67:50), were synthesized. Both polyNaMA-b-polyNFHMA and polyNaMA-b-polyHMA formed micelles above critical micelle concentrations, (cmc's), around 3 x 10(-5) to 1 x 10(-4) mol/L, while neither polymer decreased surface tension of aqueous solutions. The size and shape of the micelles were examined by dynamic light scattering, small-angle neutron scattering, and small-angle X-ray scattering. PolyNaMA-b-polyHMA appeared to form only spherical micelles, while polyNaMA-b-polyNFHMA with a long NFHMA segment formed both spherical and rodlike micelles. The micelles of fluorine-containing block copolymers were obviously larger than those of non-fluorine-containing block copolymers with the same chain length and the same hydrophilic/hydrophobic chain ratio. The fluorine-containing block copolymer selectively solubilized fluorinated dye into the water phase when a mixture of decafluorobiphenyl and 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene was added to the micelle solution.  相似文献

The properties of quaternary ammonium salt-type cationic trimeric surfactants (m-2-m-2-m, m represents the carbon atom number in alkyl chain lengths of 8, 10, and 12) and oppositely charged anionic monomeric surfactant, sodium n-octyl sulfate (SOS), were characterized by employing several techniques such as static surface tension, fluorescence spectroscopy, and dynamic light-scattering measurements. The critical micelle concentrations (cmc) of m-2-m-2-m were much lower than those of the corresponding dimeric and monomeric surfactants, and decreased with increasing chain length. The addition of SOS to m-2-m-2-m solutions resulted in a further decrease of the cmc. The mixed surfactants showed higher efficiencies in lowering the surface tension than the individual surfactants. The fluorescence measurements suggested the formation of mixed micelles with a hydrophobic environment in the solutions even at lower concentrations. The dynamic light-scattering study indicated the presence of two different kinds of aggregates with different hydrodynamic diameters. The larger one was attributed to the mixed micelle of m-2-m-2-m and SOS. These results indicated a decline of the electrostatic repulsion between cationic head groups through the incorporation of anionic surfactant into the mixed surfactants.  相似文献

Compounds containing an ethylenediamine structure in place of the piperazine ring of M55113 (1) and M55551 (2) were synthesized to investigate the effects of a piperazine moiety and evaluated for activity as factor Xa (FXa) inhibitors. Electrode structures and photovoltaic properties of porphyrin-sensitized solar cells with TiO2 and Nb-, Ge-, and Zr-added TiO2 composite electrodes were examined to disclose the effects of partial substitution of Ti atom by the other metals in the composite electrodes. The TiO2 and Nb-, Ge-, and Zr-added TiO2 composite electrodes were prepared by sol-gel process using laurylamine hydrochloride as a template for the formation of micellar precursors yielding well-defined mesoporous nanocrystalline structures, as in the cases of the formation of silica and titania tubules and nanoparticles by the templating mechanism. The TiO2 and Nb-, Ge-, and Zr-added TiO2 composite electrodes were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, BET surface area analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, Raman spectroscopy, and impedance measurements. The TiO2 anatase nanocrystalline structure is retained after doping a small amount (5 mol %) of Nb, Ge, or Zr into the TiO2 structure, suggesting the homogeneous distribution of the doped metals with replacing Ti atom by the doped metal. The power conversion efficiency of the porphyrin-sensitized solar cells increases in the order Zr-added TiO2 (0.8%) < Nb-added TiO2 (1.2%) < TiO2 (2.0%) < Ge-added TiO2 cells (2.4%) under the same conditions. The improvement of cell performance of the Ge-added TiO2 cell results from the negative shift of the conduction band of the Ge-added TiO2 electrode. The Ge-added TiO2 cell exhibited a maximum power conversion efficiency of 3.5% when the porphyrin was adsorbed onto the surface of the Ge-added TiO2 electrode with a thickness of 4 microm in MeOH for 1 h.  相似文献

Electroabsorption and electrofluorescence spectroscopies were conducted for tri-9-anthrylborane (TAB) doped in poly(methyl methacrylate) films (1.0 mol %) to reveal the spectroscopic and excited-state properties of the compound. TAB showed three distinct absorption bands: bands I [(19 - 25) x 10(3) cm(-1)], II [(25-31) x 10(3) cm(-1)], and III (>31 x 10(3) cm(-1)). The electroabsorption spectrum demonstrated that the electronic transitions in bands I and III accompanied electric dipole moment changes (Deltamu), while the change in the molecular polarizability contributed mainly to electroabsorption band II. Because of the similarities of the electroabsorption spectrum of band II with that of anthracene itself, band II was assigned to the electronic transition to the locally excited (LE) state of the anthryl group. On the other hand, bands I and III were best described by the electronic transitions to the excited charge-transfer (CT) states. The study demonstrated furthermore that the Deltamu value of TAB accompanied by the lowest-energy electronic transition was as large as 7.8 D, which agreed very well with that determined by the solvent dependences of the absorption and fluorescence maximum energies of TAB (approximately 8.0 D, ref 1): Deltamu = 7.8-8.0 D. The results proved explicitly that the excited state of TAB was localized primarily on the p orbital of the boron atom. Despite the dipole moment change (Deltamu = 7.8-8.0 D) for the lowest-energy electronic transition (band I), the electrofluorescence of TAB accompanied the change in the molecular polarizability. The spectroscopic and excited-state properties of TAB including the curious behavior of the electrofluorescence spectrum as mentioned above were discussed on the basis of theoretical considerations.  相似文献
