Poly(p-phenylene-3,4′-oxydiphenylene terephthalamide) (PPOT) and poly(4,4′-oxydiphenylene-4-carbonamidephthalimide-N-yl) (PAI) are compatible. Molecular composites were prepared by solution blending and subsequently solvent casting. The glass transition temperature of the composite increased with increasing fraction of PPOT. Intermolecular interactions between the two components increase due to formation of hydrogen bonds between the amide linkages of the component polymers. The elastic modulus of the composite was always higher than the modulus predicted on the basis of the additivity. Similar deviations from additivity were observed for the bulk density. These desirable results arise from an increase of the packing density of molecules due to the additional hydrogen bonding also shown by the infrared spectra.  相似文献

The standardization and quality control of plant extracts is an important topic, in particular, when such extracts are used for medicinal purposes. Consequently, the development of fast and effective analytical methods for metabolomic fingerprinting of plant extracts is of high interest. In this investigation, electrospray mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and (1)H NMR techniques were employed with further statistical analyses of the acquired data. The results showed that negative ion mode ESI-MS is particularly effective for characterization of plant extracts. Different samples of the same species appear well-clustered and separated from the other species. To verify the effectiveness of the method, two other batches of extracts from a species, in which the principal components were already identified (Cynara scolymus), were analyzed, and the components that were verified by the principal component analysis (PCA) were found to be within the region identified as characteristic of Cynara Scolymus extracts. The data from extracts of the other species were well separated from those pertaining to the species previously characterized. Only the case of a species that was strictly correlated from a botanical point of view, with extracts that were previously analyzed, showed overlapping.  相似文献

Chemical modification was evaluated to stabilize pig kidney d-amino acid oxidase (pkDAAO), which is required for analytical determination of d-amino acids. Optimization of modification conditions was performed to obtain high recovery yield and stability, and chemical modification at 30°C for 12 h with a highly concentrated enzyme solution gave dextran-conjugated pkDAAO with a 70% yield of activity. pkDAAO was stable at less than 55°C at pH 6.0, while the conjugated enzyme was stable even at 70°C. In addition, the conjugated enzyme showed decreased K m values for d-amino acids. Because of these outstanding charcteristics, this new material is expected to be available for use as a liquid assay reagent.  相似文献

Nanostructured, uncharged liquid-crystalline (LC) electrolyte molecules having bicyclohexyl and cyclic carbonate moieties have been developed for application in Li-ion batteries as quasi-solid electrolytes, which suppress leakage and combustion. Towards the development of safe and high performance Li-ion batteries, we have designed Li-ion conductive LC materials with high oxidation resistance using density functional theory (DFT) calculation. The DFT calculation suggests that a mesogen with a bicyclohexyl moiety is suitable for the high-oxidation-resistance LC electrolytes compared to a mesogen containing phenylene moieties. A tri(oxyethylene) chain introduced between the cyclic carbonate and the bicyclohexyl moiety in the core part tunes the viscosity and the miscibility with Li salts. The designed Li-ion conductive LC molecules exhibit smectic LC phases over a wide temperature range, and they are miscible with added lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) salt up to 5 : 5 in molar ratio in their smectic phases. The resulting LC mixtures with LiTFSI show oxidation resistance above 4.0 V vs. Li/Li+ in cyclic voltammetry measurements. The enhanced oxidation resistance improves the performance of Li half-cells containing LC electrolytes.

Ion-conductive liquid-crystalline molecules with high-oxidation resistance, which were designed with density functional theory calculation, improved charge–discharge reactions in Li-ion batteries.  相似文献

Surface molecular motions of amorphous polymeric solids have been directly measured on the basis of lateral force microscopic (LFM) and scanning viscoelasticity microscopic (SVM) measurements. SVM measurement revealed that the molecular motion at the surface of the monodisperse polystyrene (PS) film with Mn less than ca.30k was fairly activated compared with that in a bulk region, mainly due to the surface segregation of chain end groups. Temperature dependent LFM and SVM measurement revealed that the surface glass transition temperature, Tg of the monodisperse PS film was lower than the bulk one, even though Mn was fairly large as 140k and also, that the time-temperature superposition was applicable to the surface relaxation process. The chain end group segregation at the air/PS interface was verified from the dynamic secondary ion mass spectroscopic (DSIMS) depth profiling of the proton and deuterium ion for the end-labeled deutrated-PS (dPS) film. These results suggest that the surface Tg is depressed due to an increase in free volume near surface region, being induced by the preferential surface localization of chain end groups.  相似文献

During preparation of very thin polymer belnd films from a solution of polymers, the phase‐separated structures which are quite different from that observed for the bulk blend film was observed. From atomic force microscopic(AFM) observation, it is concluded that the surface undulation, which reflects the phase separated morphology of the blend system, is present. In the case of (polystyrene(PS)/poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)) blend system, a large influence of end‐group chemistry on the surface morphology was observed. The phase identification of the (rubbery polymer/glassy polymer) binary blend thin films was successfully achieved by scanning vioscoelasticity microsopy(SVM).  相似文献

Fatigue behaviors of glass fiber-reinforced poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) were studied based on dynamic viscoelastic measurements during the fatigue process. The fatigue strength of glass fiber-reinforced PBT was greatly improved by strengthening the interfacial adhesion between glass fiber and matrix PBT. The heat generation rate under cyclic fatigue for PBT reinforced with surface-unmodified short glass fiber was always larger than that reinforced with surface-modified short glass fiber because of the large net imposed strain amplitude of PBT matrix which occurred due to the interfacial debonding under cyclic fatigue. A fatigue fracture criterion based on the magnitude of hysteresis energy loss being consumed for a structural change was established for the PBT/short glass fiber composites in consideration of glass fiber-matrix polymer interfacial interaction. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Reduction-substitution reactions of [M(O)Cl(4)](-)(M=Re, (99)Tc) precursors with an excess of substituted dithiobenzoate ligands (R-PhCS(2))(-) in dichloromethane/methanol mixtures afford a series of six-coordinated neutral mixed-ligand complexes of the type M(III)(R-PhCS(3))(2)(R-PhCS(2))(M=Re; Rel--9; M=99)Tc; Tel--9). The coordination sphere is entirely filled by sulfur donor atoms, and the complexes adopt a distorted trigonal prismatic arrangement, as assessed by the X-ray crystal structure analysis of Re(4-Me-PhCS(3))(2)(4-Me-PhCS(2)), Re 2. These compounds show sharp proton and carbon NMR profiles, in agreement with the diamagnetism typical of low spin d(4) trigonal prismatic configurations. The red-ox processes involve reduction of the metal from Re(v) to Re(iii) and oxidation of dithiobenzoate to trithioperoxybenzoate. M2--9 complexes contain a substitution-inert [M(R-PhCS(3))(2)](+) moiety including the metal and two trithioperoxybenzoate fragments, while the third dithiobenzoate ligand is labile. The latter is efficiently replaced by reaction with better nucleophiles such as diethyldithiocarbamate giving a further class of mixed ligand complexes of the type M(III)(R-PhCS(3))(2)(Et(2)NCS(2))(M=Re; Re 10--18; M=(99)Tc; Tc--18), which retain the trigonal prismatic arrangement, as determined by the X-ray analyses of the representative compounds Re(PhCS(3))(2)(Et(2)NCS(2)), Re 10 and (99)Tc(PhCS(3))(2)(Et(2)NCS(2)), Tc 10.  相似文献
