Synthesis of amino derivatives of 1,3,5-triazines containing hetero- and carbocyclic moieties

Reactions of chloro-sim-triazines with secondary amines containing 1,3-dioxolane and hemdichlorocyclopropane moieties were studied. Structures of amino derivatives of 1,3,5-triazines containing cyclic acetal and cyclopropane moieties were examined.     

N‐phosphorylated 3,5‐bis(arylidene)4‐piperidones: Synthesis,X‐ray structure,and evaluation of antitumor activity

In a search for cytotoxic fluorescent materials, a series of N‐phosphorylated compounds 2a–c were prepared by phosphorylation of 3,5‐bis(4‐N,N‐dimethylbenzylidene)‐4‐piperidone 1 . According to X‐ray investigations, molecule 2a is E,E‐isomer with axial position of the P(O)(OCH₂CF₃)₂ substituent. Fluorescence of compounds 2a–c was found to be similar to fluorescence of nonphosphorylated compound 1 . The cytotoxicity of the compounds 2a–c was estimated on several human tumor cell lines (H9, K562, and MCF7). © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Synthesis and structure of double pyrophosphates KFeP2O7 and KGaP2O7

Possible conformations of the seven-membered rings and relative stabilities of 1β,5α,6β,7α(H)- and 1α,5α,6β,7α(H)-guai-11(13)-en-6,12-olides

A calculation has been made by the method of molecular mechanics, using the MM2 program, of a number of stereomeres of 1,5,6,7(H)- and 1,5,6,7(H)-guai-11(13)-en-6,12-olides. The possibilities of the adoption by the seven-membered ring of particular conformations according to the type of its linkage with the 5-membered carbocycle have been considered. Questions of the influence of the orientation of the Me groups on the degree of distortion of the conformation of the seven-membered ring from the ideal and the relative stabilities of the various conformers are discussed.A. Reactivity of pyrrol-2-ones. (review)

Published data on the chemical transformations of pyrrol-2-ones are reviewed and analyzed. The extensive synthetic possibilities of compounds containing a pyrrolone ring in the synthesis of various heterocyclic compounds with complex structures are demonstrated. The reactions are arranged according to the reaction centers of the pyrrol-2-ones: The methylene unit, the C=C double bond, the electron-deficient carbon atom of the carbonyl group.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 10, pp. 1443–1463, October, 2004.     

Electrochemical Preparation of Chitin Materials

Electrochemical processes for preparation of various chitin materials are examined. Physicochemical and biochemical properties of the products are studied, particularly the effect of deproteinization and degreasing of chitin materials on their sorption and other characteristics.
