Franck-Condon factors and r-centroids for the B2Σ-X2Σ systems of HgCl,HgBr, and HgI

Available spectroscopic data have been analyzed and used for calculations of Franck-Condon Factors and r-centroids for B²Σ-X²Σ bands of HgCl³⁵, HgCl³⁷, HgBr⁷⁹, HgBr⁸¹, and HgI.     

A study of e+e− pairs in the mass range 11 to 25 GeV/c2 at the CERN intersecting storage rings

A sample of 58e⁺e^? events with an invariant mass greater than 11 GeV/c² produced in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 62.3 GeV is discussed. The cross sections are presented as a function of the mass and transverse momentum. The electron pairs produced with a mean transverse momentum of 2.50 ± 0.25 GeV/c.     

A measurement of the production of massive e+e− pairs in proton-proton collisions at √s = 62.4 GeV

An apparatus consisting of a superconducting solenoid magnet, cylindrical drift-chambers, and two arrays of lead-glass ?erenkov counters has been used at the CERN ISR to study the production of e⁺e^? pairs of invariant mass above 6.5 GeV/c². Cross sections for the continuum and the ? family of resonances are presented, as well as the mean transverse momentum 〈p_T〉 of the electron-positron pairs in the continuum and resonance region.     

Characterization of the interaction between human complement protein C4 and a single-chain variable fragment antibody by capillary electrophoresis and surface plasmon resonance

Immunoaffinity capillary electrophoresis and surface plasmon resonance have been used for the characterization of the interaction between two large-sized proteins, the human complement protein C4 and the single-chain variable fragment C43. The rather high kinetic rate constants as determined by surface plasmon resonance pointed out that a capillary electrophoresis method had to be applied, in which the labeled C4 is preincubated with C43 before injection and the same concentration of C43 is included in the running buffer. Analysis of the concentration dependence of the small mobility shift of the fluorescent C4 signal upon binding of C43 resulted in a dissociation constant that was comparable to the one obtained with surface plasmon resonance. This study is one of the few examples where capillary electrophoresis is successfully used to characterize the interaction between large proteins.

A post-synthesis deposition of vanadium silicalite-1 zeolite nanoparticles in the pores of SBA-15 results in a highly ordered hexagonal templated silica material with V-silicalite zeolitic plugs, giving rise to an increased crystallinity of the amorphous mesoporous walls.

Plugged hexagonal templated silica: a unique micro- and mesoporous composite material with internal silica nanocapsules

We describe in this paper the development of plugged hexagonal templated silicas (PHTS) which are hexagonally ordered materials, with internal microporous silica nanocapsules; they have a combined micro- and mesoporosity and a tuneable amount of both open and encapsulated mesopores and are much more stable than other tested micellar templated structures.
