A method for radical coupling of porphyrins using copper(II) salts as one-electron oxidants was developed. A Zn(II)-porphyrin bearing an aminophenyl group yielded porphyrin oligomers, and two tri-arylporphyrins were oxidized to form doubly and triply linked dimers. Bromination of doubly linked dimers gave macrocycles with twisted skeletons.  相似文献

The paper reviews the practical problems in measuring a turbulent burning velocity that gives the mass rate of burning. These largely centre on identifying an appropriate flame surface to associate with the turbulent burning velocity, u t , and the density of the unburned mixture. Such a flame surface has been identified, in terms of the mean reaction progress variable, $\bar {c}$ , for explosive flame propagation in a fan-stirred bomb. Measurement of $\bar {c}$ makes possible an estimation of the flame surface density, ??, from the relationship ${\it \Sigma} =k\bar {c}\left( {1-\bar {c}} \right)$ . It is shown that in such explosions, mass rates of burning derived from the measured total flame surface area agreed well with those found from the measured turbulent burning velocity. Flamelet considerations identify appropriate dimensionless correlating parameters for u t . As a result, correlations of turbulent burning velocity divided by the effective rms turbulent velocity, are plotted against the turbulent Karlovitz stretch factor, K, for different values of the Markstein number for flame strain rate, Masr. These plots cover a wide range of variables, including pressure and fuels, and are indicative of different regimes of turbulent combustion. At the lower values of K, there is some evidence of increases in u t and k due to high-frequency flame surface wrinkling arising from flame instabilities. These increase as Masr becomes more negative. It is found from the developed value of the mean flame surface density throughout the flame brush that, to a first approximation, an increase in u t for a given mixture is accompanied by a proportional increase in the volume of the brush. The analysis shows that the volume fraction of the turbulent flame brush that is reacting is quite small.  相似文献

Heartburn and non-cardiac chest pain are the predominant symptoms in many esophageal disorders, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), non-erosive reflux disease (NERD), functional heartburn and chest pain, and eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). At present, neuronal mechanisms underlying the process of interoceptive signals in the esophagus are still less clear. Noxious stimuli can activate a subpopulation of primary afferent neurons at their nerve terminals in the esophagus. The evoked action potentials are transmitted through both the spinal and vagal pathways to their central terminals, which synapse with the neurons in the central nervous system to induce esophageal nociception. Over the last few decades, progress has been made in our understanding on the peripheral and central neuronal mechanisms of esophageal nociception. In this review, we focus on the roles of capsaicin-sensitive vagal primary afferent nodose and jugular C-fiber neurons in processing nociceptive signals in the esophagus. We briefly compare their distinctive phenotypic features and functional responses to mechanical and chemical stimulations in the esophagus. Then, we summarize activation and/or sensitization effects of acid, inflammatory cells (eosinophils and mast cells), and mediators (ATP, 5-HT, bradykinin, adenosine, S1P) on these two nociceptive C-fiber subtypes. Lastly, we discuss the potential roles of capsaicin-sensitive esophageal afferent nerves in processing esophageal sensation and nociception. A better knowledge of the mechanism of nociceptive signal processes in primary afferent nerves in the esophagus will help to develop novel treatment approaches to relieve esophageal nociceptive symptoms, especially those that are refractory to proton pump inhibitors.  相似文献

A continuum-source tungsten coil electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometer has been assembled, evaluated, and employed in four different applications. The instrument consists of a xenon arc lamp light source, a tungsten coil atomizer, a Czerny-Turner high resolution monochromator, and a linear photodiode array detector. This instrument provides simultaneous multi-element analyses across a 4 nm spectral window with a resolution of 0.024 nm. Such a device might be useful in many different types of analyses. To demonstrate this broad appeal, four very different applications have been evaluated. First of all, the temperature of the gas phase was measured during the atomization cycle of the tungsten coil, using tin as a thermometric element. Secondly, a summation approach for two absorption lines for aluminum falling within the same spectral window (305.5-309.5 nm) was evaluated. This approach improves the sensitivity without requiring any additional preconcentration steps. The third application describes a background subtraction technique, as it is applied to the analysis of an oil emulsion sample. Finally, interference effects caused by Na on the atomization of Pb were studied. The simultaneous measurements of Pb and Na suggests that negative interference arises at least partially from competition between Pb and Na atoms for H2 in the gas phase.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a fully conservative form for the continuum equations governing rate-dependent and rate-independent plastic flow in metals. The conservation laws are valid for discontinuous as well as smooth solutions. In the rate-dependent case, the evolution equations are in divergence form, with the plastic strain being passively convected and augmented by source terms. In the rate-independent case, the conservation laws involve a Lagrange multiplier that is determined by a set of constraints; we show that Riemann problems for this system admit scale-invariant solutions.  相似文献

Summary Polyamines and polyamine conjugates display a diverse range of important biological functions, ranging from antibiotics to immunosuppressants and glutamate receptor antagonists. For these reasons, polyamines provide an excellent template/scaffold for combinatorial chemistry. In this paper we present methods for the solid-phase immobilisation of polyamines for use in synthetic and combinatorial chemistry and describe how they have been employed in the preparation of a number of important polyamine conjugates and polyamine libraries. Thus, we have designed, synthesised and utilised a number of polyamine linkers for both solution and resin screening combinatorial application.  相似文献

A variety of gas cascade amplification and signal detection strategies have evolved for use in low vacuum and environmental scanning electron microscopy on poorly conducting specimens. These detectors have been optimized to perform well under various limitations on the range of gas pressure and working distance which may be imposed by experimental requirements. All of the detectors must produce high gains, low backgrounds, and generate a sufficient positive ion flux to the specimen to enable charge neutralization. The underlying principles of operation of each detector type are discussed, along with the range of experimental conditions appropriate to each.  相似文献

We show that the first order QCD correction to the leptonic decay rate of heavy quark-antiquark3 D 1 bound state is identical to that for a3 S 1 state. Some phenomenological implications of this suppression are also discussed.  相似文献
