A short review of the effect of pressure on copolymerization kinetics shows the necessity of simple models for a better understanding of activation volumes. Therefore, a simple concept, possibly generally valid for free-radical polymerization, is proposed, based on the assumption that molar volumes of activation can be expressed as an addition of a characteristic radical and a monomer contribution, regardless of the combination involved. The scheme may facilitate the visualization of the transition state and contribute to the understanding of reaction mechanisms of radical polymerizations. Ethylene–vinyl acetate copolymerization at 62°C with tert-butyl alcohol as solvent agrees with the proposed scheme, appearing from the pressure independence of the product of reactivity ratios at the different levels (35,600, and 1200 kg/cm2). Implicitly it can be shown that an ethylene monomer contributes about 2 cm3/mole more to the activation volumes of the propagation reactions than does the vinyl acetate monomer, whereas for the radicals the difference of the respective contributions to the activation volumes is opposite in sign.  相似文献

Direct gas chromatographic methods to analyse phenylurea pesticides are discouraged by the thermal instability of these compounds, that in conventional hot splitless inlet systems leads to extensive and irreproducible formation of isocyanates and amines. However a careful control of the operating conditions, like the inlet temperature, the pressure and the presence of suitable chemical additives (as acetic acid, low-molecular-mass amines, organic anhydrides) can either: (i) minimise the thermal decomposition enabling the direct GC-MS analysis of phenylureas, or (ii) lead to reproducible conversion to isocyanates. Experimental design was employed to study the effect of the experimental variables on the thermal transformation of phenylurea pesticides in splitless inlet system. Two strategies were alternatively optimised: (i) the minimisation of degradation reactions to increase the signal of phenylureas; (ii) the maximisation of the degradation to isocyanates that are in turn determined. The maximal yields in isocyanate were obtained with high inlet temperatures, low carrier flows in the injection phase and the presence of acetic anhydride. By contrast, the use of relatively low inlet temperatures, high carrier flows during the injection and the presence of an amine maximise the response of the parent compounds.  相似文献

Mesostructured chalcogenide-based materials with long-range order and semiconducting properties can be prepared using suitable molecular building blocks, linkage metal ions and surfactant molecules. In this paper we present surfactant templated, open framework platinum tin selenide and telluride materials assembled using K4SnQ4 (Q = Se, Te) salts and K2PtCl4 as precursors and a study of pore and wall organization. We find that materials prepared in water exhibit disordered pore organization, whereas those prepared in formamide are long-range ordered with hexagonal symmetry. In formamide the [SnQ4]4- anions undergo condensation-oligomerization reactions that produce different chalcogenido molecular species, whereas in water the anions remain intact. In addition to solvent, the pore organization and overall quality of the mesostructured materials strongly depend on the surfactant molecules, i.e., chain length and headgroup size. For example, highly ordered mesostructured platinum tin selenides with hexagonal symmetry were obtained using the hydroxyl-functionalized surfactants CnH2n+1N(CH3)(CH2CH2OH)2Br (n = 16, 18, and 20), but when the headgroup was triethylammonium, hexagonal pore order was achieved only for n = 20 and not for n = 16 and 18. The experimental results imply that in order to achieve highly ordered chalcogenide frameworks a single building anionic block might be insufficient. Finally, we also report the first examples of hexagonal mesostructured Pt/Sn/Te materials based on K4SnTe4 as the precursor. The tellurides behave differently for their selenium analogues and have very low energy band gaps, in the range 0.5-0.7 eV.  相似文献

The structure of the 1,2,4,7-anti-tetramethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-yl cation ( 1 ) was redetermined by X-ray crystal structure analysis of its Sb2F11 salt at 110 K (P21/c, R1 = 5.76%). The most important structural features of 1 are: C(1)? C(2) = 1.409(9), C(1)? C(6) = 1.710(8), and C(2)…C(6) = 2.113(9) Å and C(2)? C(1)? C(6) = 84.7(4)°. These results agree with those obtained earlier by other methods for the rapidly equilibrating, partially s?-delocalized 1,2-dimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-yl cation ( 2 ). The detailed experimental procedure for the preparation of crystalline 1 · Sb2F11 and the crystal selection and mounting are described.  相似文献

Uranium (VI) can be extracted as a complex with rhodamine B into a benzeneetherhexone solvent from a benzoate buffered solution. Optimum conditions for the colour development are defined, leading to a molar absorptivity of 102700 mmol-1 cm2 at 555 nm, the highest yet reported for a uranium complex. The determination of uranium in the range 0.02–3 μg/ml in nitrate samples is described. The relative standard deviation ranges from 20 to 0.6%. The pigments Luteoskyrin (Ls) and Rugulosin (Rg) might adopt a priori two extreme conformations, a planar and an angular one. To determine the predominant conformation in solution, the nature of the lowest energy transition of the chromophores and the presence of intramolecular H-bonding have been investigated. The solvent effects on electronic absorption and CD spectra indicated the π-π* nature of the lowest energy transition. Treatments of the electronic absorption results according to McRae and Kosower relations, IR absorption and PMR spectra suggested the presence of strong intra-molecular H-bonds. From these results it was concluded that Ls and Rg adopted in a variety of solvents the most planar conformation.  相似文献

Curve crossing in two excited states of IBr was studied by means of photodissociation with a pulse dye laser. The ratios of the formed ground state Br(2P32 and excited Br(2P12) were measured at various wavelengths. They are compared with ratios calculated with the Landau-Zener formula, using parameters given by Child. The agreement between the measurements and the calculations is very good.  相似文献

The absorption and fluorescence of 16-(1-pyrene)-hexadecanoicacid adsorbed on silica have been investigated. Time-resolved transient diffuse reflectance spectra were recorded following pulsed nanosecond laser excitation at 355 nm of pyrene, 1-methylpyrene and 16-(1-pyrene)-hexadecanoicacid adsorbed on silica. In addition to a rapidly decaying transient, absorbing at 420 nm assigned as the triplet state, and of the radical cation, absorbing at 460 nm, another long living transient species absorbing at 420 nm was observed for 16-(1-pyrene)-hexadecanoic acid. The decay is reversible but complete recovery takes several hours. Although no definitive assignment could be made for this transient several possibilities are discussed. The radical cations of the investigated molecules are formed by a biphotonic process. The non-exponential decay of the radical cations could be analyzed in the framework of a Gaussian distribution of free energy barriers.  相似文献

Immobilized sulfhydryl groups were prepared by partial thiolation of NH2-glass beads. The microenvironment of the immobilized SH groups was varied by different chemical modifications of neighboring NH2 groups. Introduction of a strong charge in the surroundings of immobilized sulfhydryls results in their dramatic stabilization against autooxidation. This effect is due to the salting of O2 from the surface microlayer of the thiolated beads.  相似文献
