This paper presents the development of a non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis method coupled to UV detection combined with multivariate curve resolution-alternating least-squares (MCR-ALS) to carry out the resolution and quantitation of a mixture of six phenolic acids in virgin olive oil samples. p-Coumaric, caffeic, ferulic, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic, vanillic and 4-hydroxyphenilacetic acids have been the analytes under study. All of them present different absorption spectra and overlapped time profiles with the olive oil matrix interferences and between them. The modeling strategy involves the building of a single MCR-ALS model composed of matrices augmented in the temporal mode, namely spectra remain invariant while time profiles may change from sample to sample. So MCR-ALS was used to cope with the coeluting interferences, on accounting the second order advantage inherent to this algorithm which, in addition, is able to handle data sets deviating from trilinearity, like the data herein analyzed. The method was firstly applied to resolve standard mixtures of the analytes randomly prepared in 1-propanol and, secondly, in real virgin olive oil samples, getting recovery values near to 100% in all cases. The importance and novelty of this methodology relies on the combination of non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis second-order data and MCR-ALS algorithm which allows performing the resolution of these compounds simplifying the previous sample pretreatment stages.  相似文献

New heterocyclic derivatives of 9‐azajulolidine have been synthesized and characterized with respect to their nucleophilicity and Lewis basicity. The Lewis basicity of these bases as quantified through their theoretically calculated methyl‐cation affinities correlate well with the experimentally measured reaction rates for addition to benzhydryl cations. All newly synthesized pyridines show exceptional catalytic activities in benchmark acylation reactions, which correlate only poorly with Lewis basicity or nucleophilicity parameters. A combination of Lewis basicity with charge and geometric parameters in the framework of a three‐component quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) model is, however, highly predictive.  相似文献

Coccidiostats are a group of pharmacologically active substances widely used in veterinary practice. Their residues are detected relatively often in poultry tissues and egg samples analyzed as part of official residue control programs in the European Union. Therefore, accuracy of quantitative results needs to be monitored through internal and external quality control studies. In addition, the use of materials containing incurred residues would be welcome to for ongoing monitoring of the method accuracy. Unfortunately, in the field of veterinary drug residues, certified reference materials are often unavailable. Therefore, in-house quality control material of incurred lyophilized eggs containing narasin and nicarbazin has been produced and characterized. The eggs originated from hens receiving feed with coccidiostat premix Maxiban were mixed to obtain presumed concentrations of residues and freeze-dried. Homogeneity of the material was verified by the duplicate analysis of ten random samples, and the results proved that the between samples variation was negligible in comparison with the method repeatability. No measurable loss of analytes was observed within 1 year; the slope of the regression line of the results of stability measurements was not significantly different from zero. The assigned values were expressed as medians of the results of inter-laboratory comparison performed in four different European laboratories; the uncertainty of the material was estimated, taken into consideration all above tests, resulting in (14.4 ± 2.53) µg/kg for nicarbazin and (7.91 ± 1.52) µg/kg for narasin.  相似文献

For the first time, 18th‐century glass mosaics from the Capela de São João Baptista (Chapel of St. John the Baptist, Lisbon) were analysed by Raman microscopy (RM). This masterpiece in baroque mosaic art had one of its major contributors the most famous glassmaker in Rome, Alessio Mattioli. Mattioli was celebrated because of the opacity of his mosaics and the astonishing number of hues he was able to produce for mosaic decorating Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. This study had two goals in mind: (1) characterising the materials involved in the manufacture of these glass mosaics and (2) lengthening the understanding of what was left of Mattioli's glassmaking records. As expected the mosaics presented a high ratio of crystalline phases, making RM the ideal technique for non‐destructive analysis. The mosaics contained a white ‘background’ or opacifier added identified as Ca2Sb2O7. The yellow tesserae are opacified with lead antimonate (Pb2Sb2O7) and ternary oxides, structures related to lead antimonate but with other ions entering the position of Sb4+ (namely Sn4+). Those ternary oxides are pervasive in most colours, admixed with other colorants. The red, orange, pink and brown colours were accomplished with cuprous oxide (Cu2O) and admixed with a ternary oxide to create the latter three colours. The red copper‐based colours were made according to the procedure to make a ruby copper glass and with the exception of the red colour; all mosaics exhibited a dark layer on each side of the mosaic, named scorzetta. This layer is the outcome of an oxidation reaction because of a quick cooling process and is composed of CuO. Finally the blue and green colours are accomplished with cobalt oxide and copper oxide, respectively, and the purple/black colour with manganese oxide. The urge for the development of a more efficient antibiotic crystalline forms led us to the disclosure of new antibiotic coordination frameworks of pyrazinamide, a well-known drug used for the treatment of tuberculosis, with some of the novel compounds unravelling improved antimycobacterial activity. Mechanochemistry was the preferred synthetic technique to yield novel compounds, allowing the reproduction of a 1D zinc framework, the synthesis of a novel hydrogen bonding manganese framework, and three new compounds with silver. The structural characterization of the novel forms is presented along with stability studies. The increased antimicrobial activity of the new silver-based frameworks against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Mycobacterium smegmatis is particularly relevant.  相似文献

The study focused on the influence of starch modified by octenyl succinic anhydride (OSA) on the rheological and thermal properties of gluten-free dough containing corn and potato starch with the addition of pectin and guar gum as structure-forming substances. The starch blend used in the original dough recipe was partially (5% to 15%) replaced with OSA starch. The rheological properties of dough samples were determined, and the properties of the resulting bread were analyzed. It was found that the dough samples behaved as weak gels, and the values of storage and loss moduli (G′ and G″, respectively) significantly depended on angular frequency. Various shares of OSA starch in recipes modified dough in different ways, causing changes in its rheological characteristics. The introduction of OSA starch preparations resulted in changes in the bread volume and physical characteristics of the crumb. All the applied preparations caused an increase in bread porosity and the number of pores larger than 5 mm, and there was a parallel decrease in pore density. The presence of OSA starch preparations modified bread texture depending on the amount and type of the applied preparation. The introduction of OSA starches in gluten-free bread formulation caused a significant drop in the enthalpy of retrograded amylopectin decomposition, indicating a beneficial influence of such type of additive on staling retardation in gluten-free bread.  相似文献
