The chiral phosphanylamides {N(R-CHMePh)(PPh(2))}(-) and {N(S-CHMePh)(PPh(2))}(-) were introduced into rare earth chemistry. Transmetalation of the enantiomeric pure lithium compounds Li{N(R-CHMePh)(PPh(2))} (1a) and Li{N(S-CHMePh)(PPh(2))} (1b) with lanthanide bis(phosphinimino)methanide dichloride [{CH(PPh(2)NSiMe(3))(2)}LnCl(2)](2) in a 2:1 molar ratio in THF afforded the enantiomeric pure complexes [{CH(PPh(2)NSiMe(3))(2)}Ln(Cl){eta(2)-N(R-CHMePh)(PPh(2))}] (Ln = Er (2a), Yb (3a), Lu (4a)) and [{CH(PPh(2)NSiMe(3))(2)}Ln(Cl){eta(2)-N(S-CHMePh)(PPh(2))}] (Ln = Er (2b), Yb (3b), Lu (4b)). The solid-state structures of 2a and 3a,b were established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Attempts to synthesize compounds 3 in a one-pot reaction starting from K{CH(PPh(2)NSiMe(3))(2)}, YbCl(3), and 1 resulted in the lithium chloride incorporated complex [{(Me(3)SiNPPh(2))(2)CH}Yb(mu-Cl)(2)LiCl(THF)(2)] (5). In an alternative approach to give chiral rare earth compounds in a one-pot reaction 1a or 1b was reacted with LnCl(3) and K(2)C(8)H(8) to give the enantiomeric pure cyclooctatetraene compounds [{eta(2)-N(R-CHMePh)(PPh(2))}Ln(eta(8)-C(8)H(8))] (Ln = Y (6a), Er (7a), Yb (8)) and [{eta(2)-N(S-CHMePh)(PPh(2))}Ln(eta(8)-C(8)H(8))] (Ln = Y (6b), Er (7b)). The structures of 6a,b, 7a, and 8 were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction in the solid state.  相似文献

Synthetic oligopeptides containing redox-active tyrosine residues have been employed to prepare gold and silver nanoparticles. In this reduction process an electron from the tyrosinate ion of the peptide is transferred to the metal ion at basic pH through the formation of a tyrosyl radical, which is eventually converted to its dityrosine form during the reaction. This reaction mechanism was confirmed from UV-visible, fluorescence, and EPR spectroscopy and was found to be pH-dependent. Transmission electron microscopy measurement shows that the average size and the monodispersity of gold nanoparticles increase as the number of tyrosine residues in the peptide increases. The kinetic study, based on spectrophotometric measurements of the surface plasmon resonance optical property, shows that the rate of formation of gold nanoparticles was much faster at higher pH than at lower pH and was also dependent on the number of tyrosine residues present in the peptide. The dityrosine form of the peptide was found to retain reducing properties like those of tyrosine in basic medium.  相似文献

We study the properties of two dimensional topological spin Hall insulators which arise through spontaneous breakdown of spin symmetry in systems that are spin rotation invariant. Such a phase breaks spin rotation but not time reversal symmetry and has a vector order parameter. Skyrmion configurations in this vector order parameter are shown to have an electric charge that is twice the electron charge. When the spin Hall order is destroyed by condensation of Skyrmions superconductivity results. This may happen either through doping or at fixed filling by tuning interactions to close the Skyrmion gap. In the latter case the superconductor-spin Hall insulator quantum phase transition can be second order even though the two phases break distinct symmetries.  相似文献

Plant extracts are one of the best possible sources of bioactive molecules, and are being used globally as an antioxidants and natural antimicrobial compounds. In current study, Schefflera vinosa leaves extract was prepared through Soxhlet extraction procedure using methanol and chloroform as solvents. The extract was investigated for total antioxidant, phenolic and flavonoid contents, free radical scavenging and antimicrobial activities. The free radical scavenging activities were evaluated through 2,2- diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2′-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzotiazolin-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS) and Ferric-reducing/ antioxidant power (FRAP) assay. The antimicrobial activity of extract was determined through poisoned food method. The methanolic extract has exhibited high antioxidant, phenolic, and flavonoid activities compared to chloroform extract. Similarly, free radical scavenging activities (ABTS, DPPH and FRAP) were higher in methanolic extract. Further, Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) used to determine the functional group and Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC–MS) to elucidate volatile composition of the crude extract. Different functional group like N-H, O-H, C-O, C-N, C-H, C=O, C≡C and C-O-H presence indicate the existence of many metabolites in the extracts. GC–MS study identified 61 compounds and subsequently, these molecules were screened virtually using DockThor. Furthermore, antimicrobial study was confirmed against rice pathogens like Magnaporthe oryzae (M. oryzae) and Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo). Molecular docking study further suggested that phytomolecules (3-Isopropoxy-1,1,1,7,7,7-hexamethyl-3,5,5-tris (trimethylsiloxy) tetrasiloxane, and 2-Methoxy-5-methylthiophene) targets Histone Deacetylase (HDAC) of M. oryzae and Peptide Deformylase (PDF) of Xoo, which could inhibit their growth. Hence, this study indicated that Schefflera vinosa extracts could be an important ingredient as an antioxidant as well as antimicrobial agent against rice pathogens.  相似文献

A novel nanocomposite involving nano‐hydroxyapatite/chitosan/polyethylene glycol (n‐HAP/CS/PEG) has been successfully synthesized via co‐precipitation approach at room temperature. The purpose to synthesize such nanocomposite is to search for an ideal analogue which may mimick the composition of natural bone for bone tissue engineering with respect to suitable biocompatibility, cytotoxicity and mechanical properties. The FTIR spectra of n‐HAP/CS and n‐HAP/CS/PEG scaffolds indicated significant intermolecular interaction between the various components of both the nanocomposites. The results of XRD, TEM and TGA/DTA suggested that the crystallinity and thermal stability of the n‐HAP/CS/PEG scaffold have decreased and increased respectively, relative to n‐HAP/CS scaffold. The comparison of SEM images of both the scaffolds indicated that the incorporation of PEG influenced the surface morphology while a better in‐vitro bioactivity has been observed in n‐HAP/CS/PEG than in n‐HAP/CS based on SBF study, referring a greater possibility for making direct bond to living bone if implanted. Furthermore, MTT assay revealed superior non‐toxic nature of n‐HAP/CS/PEG to murine fibroblast L929 cells as compared to n‐HAP/CS. The comparative swelling studies of n‐HAP/CS/PEG and n‐HAP/CS scaffolds revealed a better swelling rate for n‐HAP/CS/PEG. Magnetic resonance angiographic evaluation of the intracranial vasculature has been predominantly carried out using conventional angiographic techniques such as time of flight and phase contrast sequences. These techniques have good spatial resolution but lack temporal resolution. Newer faster angiographic techniques have been developed to circumvent this limitation. Elliptical centric time-resolved imaging of contrast kinetics (EC-TRICKS) is one such technique which has combined the use of elliptical centric ordering of the k-space with multiphase 3D digital subtraction MR angiogram (MRA) to achieve excellent temporal resolution of the arterial and venous circulations. Its applications have been mainly in the peripheral vasculature. We report the use of this technique in a case of a high-flow, direct carotid-cavernous fistula to demonstrate its potential in intracranial MR angiography.  相似文献

The catalyzed reporter deposition (CARD) method of signal amplification, also called “tyramide signal amplification”, has been used in immunoassays not only to increase sensitivity but also to reduce assay time. The current approach to tyramide amplification in immunoassays involves slow incubation with agitation. In this paper we describe new filtration-based tyramide amplification and substrate visualization techniques. Compared with the standard method, this new approach greatly enhances spot intensities in membrane immunoassay and reduces biotinylated tyramide (B-T) and substrate consumption approximately fiftyfold, without loss of specificity. An improved test device and a cost-effective method for preparation of membranes for Super-CARD amplification have also been developed. The techniques have been used for rapid detection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in a variety of foodstuffs with a detection limit of 12.5 μg kg−1. The assay procedure involves sequential addition of standards or sample, AFB1–horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugate, B-T, avidin–HRP, and substrate solution over anti-AFB1 antibody-spotted zones of the membrane surface. The method saves time, improves reproducibility, eliminates many washing steps and avoids manipulation of the membranes between the different steps, while maintaining the sensitivity of the standard method. Average recoveries from different non-infected food samples spiked with AFB1 at concentrations from 25 to 100 mg kg−1 were between 95 and 105%. AFB1 results obtained on different days for Aspergillus parasiticus infection of corn and groundnut samples correlated well with estimates obtained by HPLC.
