Perpendicular exchange bias (PEB) involving perpendicular
magnetic anisotropy (PMA) in both the antiferromagnetic (AF) pinning and the
ferromagnetic (FM) sensor layer is expected to become important in future
perpendicular recording and sensing devices. Further, because of the reduced
spin dimensionality, PEB promises to be easier understandable than the
conventional planar exchange bias (EB). In addition to its first realization
using the Ising-type AF compounds FeF2 and FeCl2 we have tested
control strategies of EB being alternative to the conventional magnetic and
thermal ones. Indeed, specific symmetry properties of the pinning layer have
been shown to enable mechanical (viz. piezomagnetic via FeF2) and electric
control (viz. magneto-electric via Cr2O3) of EB, respectively.
Electric control promises to become relevant for TMR devices in MRAM

We have employed the relativistic coupled cluster theory to calculate
the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole hyperfine constants for
the ground and low lying excited states of singly ionized magnesium.
Comparison with experimental and the other theoretical results are
done and predictions are also made for a few low lying excited states
which could be of interest. We have made comparative studies of the
important many body effects contributing to the hyperfine constants

We demonstrate that a spherical accretion onto astrophysical black holes, under the influence of Newtonian or various post-Newtonian
pseudo-Schwarzschild gravitational potentials, may constitute a concrete example of classical analogue gravity naturally found
in the Universe. We analytically calculate the corresponding analogue Hawking temperature as a function of the minimum number
of physical parameters governing the accretion flow. We study both the polytropic and the isothermal accretion. We show that
unlike in a general relativistic spherical accretion, analogue white hole solutions can never be obtained in such post-Newtonian
systems. We also show that an isothermal spherical accretion is a remarkably simple example in which the only one information–the
temperature of the fluid, is sufficient to completely describe an analogue gravity system. For both types of accretion, the
analogue Hawking temperature may become higher than the usual Hawking temperature. However, the analogue Hawking temperature
for accreting astrophysical black holes is considerably lower compared with the temperature of the accreting fluid. 相似文献

Although the Bayes estimates are well behaved and are asymptotically efficient, it is difficult to compute them as the posterior distributions are generally very complicated. Carboxylated peptide‐functionalized gold nanoparticles (peptide‐GNPs) self‐assemble into two‐ and three‐dimensional nanostructures in the presence of various heavy metal ions (i.e. Pb2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+) in aqueous solution. The assembly process is monitored by following the changes in the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) band of gold nanoparticles in a UV/Vis spectrophotometer, which shows the development of a new SPR band in the higher‐wavelength region. The extent of assembly is dependent on the amount of metal ions present in the medium and also the time of assembly. TEM analysis clearly shows formation of two‐ and three‐dimensional nanostructures. The assembly process is completely reversible by addition of alkaline ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) solution. The driving force for the assembly of peptide‐GNPs is mainly metal ion/carboxylate coordination. The color and spectral changes due to this assembly can be used for detection of these heavy‐metal ions in solution. 相似文献

Phenanthroline‐based chiral ligands L1 and L2 as well as the corresponding EuIII and TbIII complexes were synthesized and characterized. The coordination compounds show red and green emission, which was explored for the sensing of a series of anions such as F?, Cl?, Br?, I?, NO3?, NO2?, HPO42?, HSO4?, CH3COO?, and HCO3?. Among the anions, HPO42? exhibited a strong response in the emission property of both europium(III) and terbium(III) complexes. The complexes showed interactions with the nucleoside phosphates adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenosine diphosphate (ADP), and adenosine monophosphate (AMP). Owing to this recognition, these complexes have been applied as staining agents in the microalgal cell Chlorella vulgaris. The stained microalgal cells were monitored through fluorescence microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Initially, the complexes bind to the outer cell wall and then enter the cell wall through holes in which they probably bind to phospholipids.
