Electron capture by both bare and microsolvated small peptide dications was investigated by colliding these ions with sodium vapor in an accelerator mass spectrometer to provide insight into processes that occur on the microsecond time frame. Survival of the intact peptide monocation after electron capture depends strongly on molecular size. For dipeptides, no intact reduced species were observed; the predominant ions correspond to loss of hydrogen and ammonia. In contrast, the intact reduced species was observed for larger peptides. Calculated structures indicate that the diprotonated dipeptide ions form largely extended structures with low probability of internal ionic hydrogen bonding (i.e., charge solvation) whereas internal ionic H-bonding occurs extensively for larger peptide dications. Solvation of the peptide ions with between one to seven methanol molecules reduces the total extent of H loss even for dipeptides where intact reduced species can survive more than a microsecond after electron capture. The yield of ions corresponding to cleavage of NCalpha bonds (c+ and z+* ions) does not depend strongly on peptide size but decreases with the extent of microsolvation for the dipeptide dications. H-bonding appears to play an important role for the survival of the intact reduced ions but less so for the formation of c+ and z+* ions. Our results indicate that electron capture predominantly occurs at the ammonium groups (at least 70 to 80%), and provides important new insights into the electron capture dissociation process.  相似文献

Hybrid materials possessing piezo- and ferroelectric properties emerge as excellent alternatives to conventional piezoceramics due to their merits of facile synthesis, lightweight nature, ease of fabrication and mechanical flexibility. Inspired by the structural stability of aminophosphonium compounds, here we report the first A3BX6 type cyanometallate [Ph2(iPrNH)2P]3[Fe(CN)6] ( 1 ), which shows a ferroelectric saturation polarization (Ps) of 3.71 μC cm−2. Compound 1 exhibits a high electrostrictive coefficient (Q33) of 0.73 m4 C−2, far exceeding those of piezoceramics (0.034–0.096 m4 C−2). Piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) analysis demonstrates the polarization switching and domain structure of 1 further confirming its ferroelectric nature. Furthermore, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) polymer composite films of 1 were prepared and employed as piezoelectric nanogenerators. Notably, the 15 wt % 1 -TPU device gave a maximum output voltage of 13.57 V and a power density of 6.03 μW cm−2.  相似文献

An alkalophilic hyperproducer of alkaline protease, Bacillus sp. NG312, was isolated, and the enzyme showed maximum activity at pH 11.0 and 60°C. The temperature optimum was increased by 10°C in presence of Ca2+. The crudeenzyme was found to have half-life of 11 d at 37°C and maximum stability at pH 9.0–10.0. It also exhibited very good stability in presence of detergent components and some locally available commericial detergent powders.  相似文献

The excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) processes in 3‐methylsalicyclic acid (3‐MeSA) and 3‐methoxysalicyclic acid (3‐MeOSA) have been investigated in cyclohexane medium by emission spectroscopic techniques. The ESIPT process was characterized in 3‐MeSA from the large Stokes fluorescent band (455 nm), but it was suppressed by 3‐MeOSA in cyclohexane. The ESIPT process was found to be accelerated both in 3‐MeSA and 3‐MeOSA in the presence of a hydrogen bond accepting agent, triethylamine (TEA). Further, theoretical calculations were carried out at the ground and excited states to complement the experimental evidences.  相似文献

Phosphorylation is the most widely studied posttranslational modification (PTM) and is an important regulatory mechanism used during cellular responses to external stimuli. The kinases and phosphatases that regulate protein phosphorylation are known to be affected in many human diseases. Cigarette smoking causes cardiovascular disease (CVD). Endothelial cells play a pivotal role in CVD initiation and development; however, there have been limited investigations of the specific signaling cascades and protein phosphorylations activated by cigarette smoke in endothelial cells. The purpose of this research was to better understand the differential protein phosphorylation in endothelial cells stimulated with extracts of cigarette smoke total particulate matter (CS-TPM) in vitro. Human microvascular endothelial cells were exposed in vitro to CS-TPM at concentrations that were shown to cause endothelial cell dysfunction. The phosphorylated proteins were isolated using phosphoprotein-specific chromatography, followed by enzymatic digestion and nano-flow capillary liquid chromatography (ncap-LC) coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry. This study putatively identified 94 proteins in human microvascular endothelial cells that were differentially bound to a phosphoprotein-specific chromatography column following exposure to CS-TPM suggesting differential phosphorylation. Pathway analysis has also been conducted and confirmations of several observations have been made using immunoaffinity-based techniques (e.g., Western blotting). Ynamides are typically more reactive than simple alkynes and olefins. However, a serendipitous observation revealed a rare case where the reactivity of simple alkynes exceeds that of ynamides. This led to the development of a unique sulfur‐radical‐triggered cyclization of yne‐tethered ynamides, which involves attack of the alkyne by a thiyl radical followed by cyclization with the ynamide. A wide range of novel 4‐thioaryl pyrroles that could tolerate common functional moieties and N‐protecting groups were expediently constructed by this strategy. The current method contrasts with the typical cyclization of yne‐ynamides, which involves the attack of the alkyne moiety by the ynamide core. Control experiments and DFT calculations supported the participation of the sulfur radical in the reaction and the regioselective cyclization. The synthetic potential of the substituted pyrroles is also discussed.  相似文献

A novel vitamin B6 cofactor derived anion sensor L for the selective colorimetric detection of acetate has been developed by the condensation of pyridoxal and 2-aminothiophenol. The sensor L showed a noteworthy change in the visible region of the spectrum and was detected by the ‘naked-eye’ for both acetate and fluoride anions in DMSO but selectively for acetate in DMSO/H2O (88:12, v/v). The anion recognition ability of L was investigated by spectroscopic (UV–vis and 1H NMR) and DFT methods.  相似文献

This study compared eight major ginsenosides (Rg1, Rg2, Rf, Re, Rd, Rc, Rb1 and Rb2) between Panax sokpayensis and Panax bipinnatifidus collected from Sikkim Himalaya, India. High-performance liquid chromatographic analysis revealed that all major ginsenosides were present in the rhizomes of P. sokpayensis except ginsenoside Rc, whereas ginsenoside Rf, Rc and Rb2 were not detected in P. bipinnatifidus.  相似文献

Abstract

Photograft copolymerization of methyl methacrylate on reduced wool (reduction done by treatment with thioglycollic acid, TGA) was studied at nearly 30°C using a Ce4+ -oxalic acid redox initiator system in a limited aqueous system (2.7 mL water for 0.15 g wool). Reduction of wool for 16 h with 15% TGA solution produced optimum grafting effects. Percent grafting and grafting efficiency under different sets of conditions were studied and compared, and the mechanism of grafting discussed. Generation of grafting sites (radical centers) on reduced wool was more effective in the presence of light than in the dark. Percent grafting of 250–350% and grafting efficiency of 65-80% over a conversion range of 60–90% in 3–5 h were easily obtained.  相似文献
