Phase dynamics of a detuned single-mode laser

We report measurements on the phase dynamics of a detuned single mode laser which has in the past shown correspondence to the complex Lorenz equation. The corresponding ranges of periodic pulsing, of detuned chaos and of windows within the chaotic domain are investigated.Invited paper     

叶绿素A较高激发态的发光

采用激发样品表层和样品中心两种激发方式,在300K和77K温度下研究叶绿素A(Chla)的较高激发行为,观测到峰值位于493、520和580nm三条新的荧光发射带.分别测量它们的荧光激发光谱,证明这三条新的荧光带属于Chla的第二激发单线态向基态的不同振动能级的辐射跃迁发光.最后提出电子跃迁模型,同时进行了讨论.     

Transfer matrix approach of vibration isolation analysis of periodic composite structure

The transmission properties of elastic waves propagating in a three-dimensional composite structure embedded periodically with spherical inclusions are analyzed by the transfer matrix method in this paper. Firstly, the periodic composite structures are divided into many layers, the transfer matrix of monolayer structure is deduced by the wave equations, and the transfer matrix of the entire structure is obtained in the case of boundary conditions of displacement and stress continuity between layers. Then, the effective impedance of the structure is analyzed to calculate its reflectivity and transmissivity of vibration isolation. Finally, numerical simulation is carried out; the experiment results validate the accuracy and feasibility of the method adopted in the paper and some useful conclusions are obtained. Two New Diterpene Acetylxylosides from Aster veitchianus

Two new acetylxylosides,ent-manool-13-O-β-D-2′-acetylxylopyranoside(1)and entmanool-13-O-β-D-2′,4′-diacetylxylopyranoside(2)were isolated from Aster veitchianus.Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.     

Wild tiles in ℝ<Superscript>3</Superscript> with spherical boundaries

Wildly embedded tiles in ℝ³ with spherical boundary are discussed. The construction of the topologically complicated, crumpled cube tiles is reviewed. We construct an infinite family of wildly embedded, cellular tiles with Fox-Artin-type wild points. Finally, a condition on the set of wild points on a cellular tile is given to show that certain wild cells cannot be tiles. Synthesis and optoelectronic properties of silole‐containing polyfluorenes with binary structures

2,5‐Bis(2‐bromofluorene‐7‐yl)silole was prepared by a modified one‐pot synthesis with a reverse addition procedure, from which novel silole‐containing polyfluorenes with binary random and alternating structures (silole contents between 4.5 and 25% and high M_w up to 509 kDa were successfully synthesized. The well‐defined repeating unit of the alternating copolymer comprises a terfluorene and a silole ring. Optoelectronic properties including UV absorption, electrochemistry, photoluminescence (PL), and electroluminescence (EL) of the copolymers were examined. The different excitation energy transfers from fluorene to silole of the copolymers in solution and in the solid state were compared. The films of the copolymers showed silole‐dominant green emissions with high absolute PL quantum yields up to 83%. EL devices of the copolymers with a configuration of ITO/PEDOT/copolymer/Ba/Al displayed exclusive silole emissions peaked at around 543 nm and the highest EL efficiency was achieved with the alternating copolymer. Using the alternating copolymer and poly(9,9‐dioctylfluorene) as the blend‐type emissive layer, a maximum external quantum efficiency of 1.99% (four times to that of the neat film) was realized, which was a high efficiency so far reported for silole‐containing polymers. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two New Ionone Derivatives from Rhododendron przewalskii Maxim

Two new ionone derivatives,named rhododendrone and rhododendronside,were isolated from the alcohoilc extract of the aerial parts of Rhododendron przwalskii Maxim.Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis.
