Using a third order Picard-Fuchs equation we show that a certain two parameter family of planar vectorfields for parameter values in a certain cone has a unique limit cycle, which is born from a Hopf bifurcation and dies in a saddle connection. This removes a superfluous hypothesis in Theorem 3.2, Chapter 13 of S. N. Chow and J. K. Hale (“Methods of Bifurcation Theory,” Springer-Verlag, New York, 1982).  相似文献

We have measured the two-color double resonance enhanced four-photon ionization and the fluorescence de-enhanced spectra of nitric oxide by using two tunable pulsed dye lasers. The spectra show clear structure in the third-photon (8.2 eV) region. Also discussed is the multiphoton ionization mechanism in the resonance state.  相似文献

Molecular imprinting is a template polymerization technique that can easily provide synthetic polymers capable of molecular recognition for given target molecules. In addition to their highly specific recognition ability, we are attempting to introduce signaling functions to molecularly imprinted polymers, enabling them to respond according to specific binding events. Some of our work regarding such signaling molecularly imprinted polymers is presented here, including molecularly imprinted polymers that induce spectral shifts of target compounds because of binding. Such compounds include hydrogen-bonding-based fluorescent imprinted polymers and metalloporphyrin-based signaling molecularly imprinted polymers.  相似文献

Two new acylated flavanone glycosides, (S)-eriodictyol 7-O-(6"-O-trans-p-coumaroyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1) and (S)-eriodictyol 7-O-(6"-O-galloyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2) were isolated from the leaves and branches of Phyllanthus emblica together with a new phenolic glycoside, 2-(2-methylbutyryl)phloroglucinol 1-O-(6"-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3), as well as 22 known compounds. Real-time observation of messenger molecules in individual intact cells is essential for physiological studies of signaling mechanisms. We have developed a novel inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP(3)) sensor based on the pleckstrin homology (PH) domain from phospholipase C (PLC) delta. The environmentally sensitive fluorophore 6-bromoacetyl-2-dimethyl-aminonaphtalene was conjugated to the genetically introduced cysteine at the mouth of the IP(3) binding pocket for enhanced IP(3) selectivity and for rapid and direct visualization of intracellular IP(3) > or = 0.5 microM as fluorescence emission decreased. The probe, tagged with arginine-rich sequences for efficient translocation into various cell types, revealed a major contribution of Ca2+ influx to PLC-mediated IP(3) production that boosts Ca2+ release from endoplasmic reticulum. Thus, our IP(3) probe was extremely effective to quantitatively assess real-time physiological IP(3) production via those pathways formed only in the intact cellular configuration.  相似文献

The design and function of novel supramolecular fluoroionophore/cyclodextrin (CyD) complex sensors for ion and molecule recognition in water are reviewed. For the crown ether fluoroionophore/-CyD complex, the dimerization of the fluoroionophore inside the -CyD is found to be selectively promoted by alkali metal ion binding, thereby resulting in metal-ion-selective pyrene dimer emission in water. This supramolecular function is successfully utilized in the design of a podand fluoroionophore/-CyD complex for sensing toxic lead ion in water. The boronic acid fluoroionophore/-CyD complex binds sugars and produces increased fluorescence emission in water. The response mechanism appears to be due to the suppression of the photoinduced electron transfer (PET) from pyrene donor to trigonal phenylboronic acid acceptor. This is a novel emission function provided by the boronic acid fluoroionophore/-CyD complex sensors in water.  相似文献

Cubosomes are novel dispersed nanoparticles with bicontinuous cubic phases of monoolein in their interior. We investigated their disintegration process in plasma by in vitro and in vivo studies. Cubosomes were incubated with whole plasma or plasma components such as HDL, LDL, and albumin. The lypolysis study indicated lipolytic activity of whole plasma towards cubosomes. Gel filtration chromatography revealed that HDL, LDL and albumin interacted with cubosomes. HDL affected cubosomes’ integrity and gave rise to smaller particles which contained the components of both cubosomes and HDL. Upon incubation with LDL, cubosomes fused with LDL. Albumin was shown to take up monoolein out of the particles. Cubosomes were disintegrated by whole plasma as a result of the interaction with plasma components. It was concluded that in vivo observation of a long circulation time of a hydrophobic substance in cubosomes was due to the sustained behavior of cubosome remnant particles.  相似文献
