We have previously illustrated that the electron donor of carbazole moiety and the electron acceptor of methyl pyridinium cation in 3,6-bis(1-methyl-4-vinylpyridinium) carbazole diiodide (BMVC) molecule could form an intramolecular charge-transfer state. The intramolecular twist of the vinyl group in bridging the donor and acceptor plays an important role in the BMVC fluorescence. Here, we have synthesized three 9-aryl-substituted BMVC derivatives with different electronic properties for the design of the second generation of fluorescence probes. The steady-state solvatochromic studies show no appreciable change to the charge transfer of BMVC by substituting an anisole electron-donating group at 9-position of BMVC. However, substituting a 9-nitrobenzyl electron-withdrawing group in BMVC could restrict the charge transfer in the excited state. Moreover, the increase of the fluorescence yields of 9-anisole BMVC and 9-phenyl BMVC upon interaction with DNA is even higher than that in glycerol, while the fluorescence yield of 9-nitrobenzyl BMVC upon interaction with DNA is much lower than that in glycerol. Although 9-nitrobenzyl BMVC is a good G-quadruplex stabilizer, substituting an electron-withdrawing group at 9-position of BMVC is not recommended for the design of fluorescence probes. On the other hand, co-localization between 9-phenyl BMVC and MitoTracker Red in the merged image of cells indicates that the 9-phenyl BMVC is a potential fluorescent mitochondrial probe.  相似文献

Tunable VUV laser was used to initiate the ion-molecule reactions in the clusters of ethanol and 1-propanol by photoionization in the region between 10.49 to 10.08 eV. Ionic products were detected by the time-of-flight mass spectrometer. In addition to the protonated clusters from proton transfer reactions, the products corresponding to beta carbon-carbon bond cleavage were found to be one of the major products for small sizes of clusters. A comparison with photoionization of methanol clusters and the results of ab initio calculation has been made.  相似文献

Several factors that may affect the surface nodule size of a polymeric membrane were under investigation. The increase of polymer concentration and molecular weight were found to increase the surface nodule size. The increase of casting temperature also resulted in an increase in nodule size. These results supported that the radius of gyration and the collision frequency between polymer chains were the key factors affecting the nodule size. However, when the radius of gyration was reduced by the use of a poor solvent or by pre-adding nonsolvent in the casting solution, the surface nodule size increased. It suggested that there existed other factors affecting the nodule size on membrane surface besides the gyration radius and the collision frequency of polymer chains. In this study, we found in most cases that the surface nodule size decreased along with the surface tension difference between the casting solution and the coagulant. To demonstrate the effect of surface tension, we examined the nodule size inside the membranes where the nodule formation was not significantly affected by the interfacial tension. Opposite to what was observed on the surface, the nodule size increased with the solvation power of the solvent. This result suggested that it was the interfacial tension that overpowered the gyration radius in affecting the surface nodule size.  相似文献

A convenient approach towards the synthesis of orthogonally protected chiral bis‐α‐amino acids (OPBAAs) is described. The key transformations include: (1) a highly stereoselective conjugation (alkylation) of the Schöllkopf bis‐lactim ethers and oxazolidinyl alkyl halides to build a backbone skeleton; and (2) our orthogonal protection strategy. A series of enantiopure OPBAAs bearing a variety of alkyl chain as a spacer; two stereogenic centers; and three protecting groups were prepared as examples. These versatile molecules were applied to the synthesis of biologically interesting di‐ or tri‐peptide analogues, including chiral iE‐meso‐DAP and A‐iE‐meso‐DAP, for the study of Nod1 activation in the innate immune response.  相似文献

Under microwave irradiation (75 W), treatment of 2-alkynylbenzonitriles with 1.5 equiv of sodium azide in DMSO at 140 °C gave 4,5-disubstituted-2H-1,2,3-triazoles in 60-99% yields. Additionally, adding 8 equiv of ZnBr2 and using 8 equiv of sodium azide in DMF at 100 °C lead to the formation of tetrazolo[5,1-a]isoquinolines up to 87% yield.  相似文献

The characteristics and design method of the total optically stable (TOS) reflector systems/prisms were introduced in an early paper (Tsai and Lin in Appl. Opt. 47:4158–4163, 2008), where only two types of TOS reflector system exist, namely preservation or retroreflection. In this paper, we introduce the partially optically stable (POS) reflector system, which is only optically stable about a specific directional vector; nevertheless, the exiting light ray is not restricted to preservation or retroreflection. The proposed paper also presents an analytic method for the design of POS reflector systems comprised of multiple reflectors. Furthermore, it is shown that a POS prism can be obtained by adding two refracting flat boundary surfaces with specific conditions at the entrance and exit positions of the light ray in an optical system with multiple reflectors.  相似文献

The title compound, rac‐6,13‐dihydro‐6,13‐methanopentacene ( 1 ), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT‐IR, 1H NMR, UV‐Vis, HRMS spectra, cyclic voltammetry and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic, space group P212121, with Z = 4 and cell dimensions a = 6.0185(4), b = 8.1914(6), c = 31.4080(19) Å. In the crystal structure, two types of intermolecular C–H···π hydrogen bonds are observed, and further stabilize the crystal structure. Its photophysical and electrochemical properties and complementary density functional theory (DFT) calculations are reported.  相似文献

A design of varying step size approach both in time span and spatial coordinate systems to achieve fast convergence is demonstrated in this study. This method is based on the concept of minimization of residuals by the Bi‐CGSTAB algorithm, so that the convergence can be enforced by varying the time‐step size. The numerical results show that the time‐step size determined by the proposed method improves the convergence rate for turbulent computations using advanced turbulence models in low Reynolds‐number form, and the degree of improvement increases with the degree of the complexity of the turbulence models. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
