A 3-D noninterpenetrating diamondoid network of a decanuclear copper(I) complex

The solvothermal reaction of CuCl(2).2H(2)O with pyridine-4-thiol and ethanol yielded a novel photoluminescent 3-D polymeric complex with an interesting decorated diamondoid network that is constructed of decanuclear copper(I) cluster units and mu(4)-Cl ligands. The in situ generation of CuSO(4).5H(2)O implies the spontaneous occurrence of desulfurization and redox reactions in the present system.     

Electrochemical Detection of MS2 Phage Using a Bead‐based Immunoassay and a NanoIDA

A microbead based sandwich immunoassay for MS2 bacteriophage was developed using an interdigitated array (IDA) electrode with nanoscale dimensions (220 nm electrode width, 620 nm gap). The IDA was fabricated using an electron beam lithographic lift‐off technique. After an antibody‐assisted capture of MS2 using paramagnetic microbeads, a β‐galactosidase labeled secondary antibody was used to convert p‐aminophenyl‐β‐D ‐galactopyranoside (PAPG) into the redox active p‐aminophenol (PAP). Amperometric detection of PAP with IDA electrodes at +300 and ?200 mV vs. a Ag/AgCl reference electrode was used to measure the result, detecting MS2 concentrations as low as 10 ng/mL.     

Highly Efficient Pd/C-Catalyzed Suzuki Coupling Reaction of p-（un）Substituted Phenyl Halide with （p-Substituted phenyl） Boronic Acid

A highly efficient Pd/C-catalyzed ligandless, heterogeneous Suzuki reaction of p-（un）substituted phenyl halide with （p-substituted phenyl）boronic acid in DMF/H2O solvent in a short reaction time （0.5 h） at 75 ℃ was developed. The key for such a catalytic system was the addition of 1 equivalent of tetrabutylammonium bromide. A wide variety of substituents can be tolerated and high yields of cross coupling products were achieved. The palladium catalyst can be easily recovered and reused without significantly decreasing its efficiency.     

Bis(crown-6)calix[4]arene/Cs+ Coordination Chemistry in NPME Solution

NMR spectroscopy was used to show that the symmetry of the crown ether bis(C6) is increased by an increase of the alkali metal cation radius. The EXAFS spectrum demonstrates that a seven oxygen atom coordinated configuration is present in the bis(C6)/Cs⁺/NPME system, where NPME denotes o-nitrophenylmethyl ether. The seventh oxygen in this complex, besides the six crown ether oxygens of bis(C6), may come either from a H₂O molecule or an NO₃⁻ ion.     

利用LB技术以寡聚DNA为模板构建CdS纳米结构

利用Langmuir-Blodgett技术制备了十八胺（ODA）／十聚腺嘌呤（oligo-A10)单分子膜，并以其为模板制备了不同形状的Cds纳米结构，结果表明以在低膜压下转移的寡聚DNA单层为模板可诱导生成线形的Cds纳米结构，而以在主膜压下转换的寡聚DNA单层膜板得到的是Cds的球形结构聚集体。     

邻近C-H键对中心金属原子的配位作用—[Fe(PH3)3(C8H13)]+的定域分子轨道研究

采用INDO方法计算了{Fe[P(OMe)_3]_3(C_8H_(13))}~+的简化离子[Fe(PH_3)_3(C_8H_(13))]~+,将正则分子轨道用Edmiston-Ruedenberg定域化方法变换为定域分子轨道,结果表明:在对应C_1-H_(1A)键的定域分子轨道中,明显包含有铁原子轨道成分(7.8％),Fe-H_(1A)和Fe—C_1键级分别为0.190和0.302。指出C_1-H_(1A)键是以一对成键σ电子配位到铁原子上的。C_8H_(13)环以包含三个碳原子的η~4—共轭体系与铁原子相互作用。铁以二价(d~6-Fe(Ⅱ)的形式存在于该离子中。C_1-H_(1A)键的配位满足了文献[15]提出的Fe(Ⅱ)的共价12价。     

THERMAL PROPERTY, MISCIBILITY AND CRYSTALLIZATION BEHAVIOR OF POLY（3-HYDROXYBUTYRATE-co- 3-YDROXYHEXANOATE） AND POLY（BUTYLENE SUCCINATE-ADIPATE） （PHBHHX/PBSA） BLENDS

Blends of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyhexanoate) (PHBHHx) and poly(butylene succinate-adipate) (PBSA), both biodegradable semicrystalline polyesters, were prepared with the ratio of PHBHHx/PBSA ranging from 80/20 to 20/80 by melt mixing method. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMA), polarizing optical microscopy (POM) and wide angle X-ray diffractometer (WAXD) were used to study the miscibility and crystallization behavior of PHBHHx/PBSA blends. Experimental results indicate that PHBHHx is immiscible with PBSA as shown by the almost unchanged glass transition temperature and the biphasic melt.     

Studies on the Electrochemical Characteristics of K2FeO4 Electrode

Discharge performance of K2FeO4 electrode under different conditions was studied by the constant electric current discharge method. The electrochemical characteristics of K2FeO4 electrode were investigated for the first time by means of cyclic voltammetry. The results show that the K2FeO4 electrode made at moderate pressure (20MPa) and discharged at lower current has better discharge performance. It is also found that K2FeO4 electrode is significantly rechargeable.     

Calculation of binding energy differences for receptor–ligand systems using the Poisson-Boltzmann method

An approach using the finite difference solution of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation to estimate binding free energy changes for two receptor–ligand systems, arabinose binding protein and sulfate binding protein, is presented. The eight calculated binding free energy changes agree with experiment, showing a correlation coefficient of 0.92 and energy deviations of 1 kcal/mol or less. More importantly, the decomposition of solvation and assembly energies in this approach provides an understanding of binding mechanisms and therefore could suggest directions to alter binding affinities. The method is demonstrated to be useful in analyzing experimental binding structures and predicting binding effects of mutants or modified ligands for macromolecular systems, in which the electrostatic forces dominate the overall interaction and the structural perturbations upon modifications are small. © 1995 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
