Transparent indium-tin-oxide (ITO) anode surface was modified using O3 plasma and organic ultra-thin buffer layers were deposited on the ITO surface using 13.56 MHz rf plasma polymerization technique. A plasma polymerized methyl methacrylate (ppMMA) ultra-thin buffer layer was deposited between the ITO anode and hole transporting layer (HTL). The plasma polymerization of the buffer layer was carried out at a homemade capacitively coupled plasma (CCP) equipment. N,N′-Diphenyl-N,N′-bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1′-diphenyl-4,4′-diamine (TPD) as HTL, Tris(8-hydroxy-quinolinato)aluminum (Alq3) as both emitting layer (EML)/electron transporting layer (ETL), and aluminum layer as cathode were deposited using thermal evaporation technique. Electroluminescence (EL) efficiency, operating voltage and stability of the organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) were investigated in order to study the effect of the plasma surface treatment of the ITO anode and role of plasma polymerized methyl methacrylate as an organic ultra-thin buffer layer.  相似文献

An optical probe with a single aperture flanked by depth-tuned surface corrugations is presented. It can generate enhanced optical transmission at the exit of a slit and lower reflection at the top side of the compound dielectric/metal structure. The probe is designed and discussed on the basis of enhanced surface plasmon resonance for the purpose of high-resolution inspection use. A multidielectric probe consisting of air/glass/C/Ag/air is put forward. The influence of the thickness of the carbon film on the reduction of reflection is analyzed in detail combined with the relevant funneling effect induced by waveguide mode propagation through a central slit. Our simulation results show that a carbon film with a thickness of 150 nm and a 200-nm Ag film with the designed parabolic corrugations can reach our design target of the enhanced optical transmission and minimum reflection. Studies of community annoyance caused by civil aircraft noise exposure were carried out in 18 areas around Gimpo and Gimhae international airports in order to accumulate social survey data and assess the relationship between aircraft noise levels and annoyance responses in Korea. WECPNL, adopted as the aircraft noise index in Korea, and the percentage of respondents who felt highly annoyed (%HA) have been used to assess the dose-response of aircraft noise. Aircraft noise levels were measured automatically by airport noise monitoring system, B&K type 3597. Social surveys were carried out to people living within 100 m of noise measurement points. The Questionnaire used in the survey contained demographic factors, noise annoyance, interference with daily activities and health-related symptoms. The question relating to the aircraft noise annoyance was answered on an 11-point numerical scale. The randomly selected respondents who were aged between 18 and 70 years completed the questionnaire by themselves. In total, 705 respondents participated in the questionnaire. The results show that WECPNL, noise metric considering characteristics of event and intrusive noise, is more reasonable than Ldn, noise metric considering total sound, to assess the effects of aircraft noise on health. It is also shown that the annoyance responses caused by aircraft noise in Korea seems higher than those reported in other countries.  相似文献

Late Cretaceous avian bone tissues from Argentina demonstrate exceptional preservation. Skeletal elements are preserved in partial articulation and suspended in three dimensions in a medium-grained sandstone matrix, indicating unusual perimortem taphonomic conditions. Preservation extends to the microstructural and molecular levels. Bone tissues respond to collagenase digestion and histochemical stains. In situ immunohistochemistry localizes binding sites for avian collagen antibodies in fossil tissues. Immunohistochemical studies do not, however, guarantee the preservation of molecular integrity. A protein may retain sufficient antigenicity for antibody binding even though degradation may render it incapable of original function. Therefore, we have applied atomic force microscopy to address the integrity and functionality of retained organic structures. Collagen pull-off measurements not only support immunochemical evidence for collagen preservation for antibody recognition but also imply preservation of the whole molecular integrity. No appreciable differences in collagen pull-off properties were measured between fossil and extant bone samples under physiological conditions.  相似文献

This concept article focuses on the current understanding of the chemistry of a family of plant enzymes capable of glycosylating small lipophilic molecules. Endomyocardial biopsy often fails to show myocardial inflammation for patients with clinically suspected myocarditis. The serum isoforms of troponin T (cTnT) level is a very sensitive marker of myocardial injury and it is elevated even in the absence of myocardial inflammation. We investigated the correlations for myocardial injury, virus titers and inflammation in acute viral infection. Using the murine coxsackievirus group B3 (CVB3) myocarditis model, the histopathologic findings and virus titers in mouse hearts were compared with the serum cTnT levels measured by ELISA at various time points. Viable virus titers in the hearts peaked at 3 days after infection (8.22 +/- 0.13 log10 PFU/100 mg of heart); they decreased at day 7 and no viable virus was detected from day 14. Myocardial inflammation was minimal at day 3, peaked at day 7 and markedly decreased at day 14. The individual serum TnT levels were significantly increased at day 3 (7.37 +/- 1.46 ng/ml), persisted to day 7 (0.73 +/- 0.08 ng/ml), and normalized at day 14. Serum cTnT levels were correlatable with virus titers in the heart (r = 0.744, P <0.01), but the serum cTnT levels were not correlated with the degrees of inflammation. Using the less myocarditic strain of CVB3, similar relationships were observed between the changes for the serum cTnT levels and the heart virus titers. During the course of viral infection, myocardial injury precedes the pathologic evidence of inflammation, and the elevated cTnT levels provide evidence of myocardial injury even in the absence of any histologic findings of myocarditis.  相似文献

We report two different applications for using arrays of microlenses on glass substrate to facilitate multiple-spot optical trapping of colloidal microbeads. The array of microlenses was made of SU8 or PMMA resist and created by a combination of Proton-Beam writing followed by thermal reflow processes. Firstly, similar to previous reports [8, 9, 10 ], the lenses were utilized as an optical element in generating multiple laser spot arrays that were subsequently focused down to impose a microbead array. In addition, we demonstrated the feasibility of a novel approach of integrating the microlens array into a sample chamber to provide localized optical trapping. The feasibility of normal GaAs, low-temperature-grown GaAs (LT-GaAs) and low-temperature-grown InGaAs (LT-InGaAs) as the capping layers for impurity-free vacancy disordering (IFVD) of the In0.2Ga0.8As/GaAs multiquantum-well (MQW) structure has been studied. The normal GaAs, LT-GaAs and LT-InGaAs layers were tested as the outermost capping layer and the intermediate cap layer underneath the SiO2 or Si3N4 capping layer. The degree of quantum-well intermixing (QWI) induced by rapid thermal annealing was estimated by the shift of the photoluminescence (PL) peak energy. It was found that the IFVD of the In0.2Ga0.8As/GaAs MQW structure using LT-GaAs (LT-InGaAs) as the outermost capping layer was much smaller (larger) than that using a SiO2 (Si3N4) capping layer. It was also observed that the insertion of the normal GaAs, LT-GaAs and LT-InGaAs cap layers below the SiO2 or Si3N4 capping layer reduces the degree of QWI and the PL intensity after the QWI. A plausible explanation for the influence of normal GaAs, LT-GaAs and LT-InGaAs cap layers for the QWI of the InGaAs/GaAs structure is also discussed. PACS 68.55.Ln; 73.20.Dx; 78.55.-m  相似文献

Amplification of femtosecond pulses at 1.03 micrometre in a standard Yb-doped single-mode fiber is reported. A pulse energy of 8 nJ and an average power of 400 mW are obtained, limited by available pump power. To our knowledge these are the highest pulse energy and average power obtained from an integrated, single-mode fiber amplifier. After dechirping, 120-fs, 6-nJ pulses are obtained. A practical fiber-based source with performance comparable with that of a bulk solid-state laser is thus demonstrated, and scaling to substantially higher powers will be possible.  相似文献
