8-Quinolinol (HQ) reacts with [Pd(α-/β-NaiR)Cl2] [α-/β-NaiR = 1-alkyl-2-(naphthyl-α-/β-azo)imidazole] in acetonitrile (MeCN) solution to give [Pd(α-/β-NaiR)(Q)](ClO4). The products are characterized by spectroscopic techniques (FT-IR, UV–Vis, NMR). The reaction kinetics show a first order dependence of rate on each of the concentration of the metal complex and HQ. Addition of LiCl to the reaction retarded the rate of reaction and has proved the cleavage of the Pd–Cl bond as the rate-determining step. Thermodynamic parameters (ΔH° and ΔS°) are determined from variable temperature kinetic studies. The magnitude of the second order rate constant, k2, increases as in the order: Pd(NaiEt)Cl2 < Pd(NaiMe)Cl2 < Pd(NaiBz)Cl2 as well as Pd(β-NaiR)Cl2 < Pd(α-NaiR)Cl2.  相似文献

We revisit the Anderson-Hasegawa double-exchange model and critically examine its exact solution when the core spins are treated quantum mechanically. We show that the quantum effects, in the presence of an additional superexchange interaction between the core spins, yield a term, the significance of which has been hitherto ignored. The importance of this term is further assessed by numerically exact computation for a four-spin system.  相似文献

An organophotoredox catalyzed efficient and robust approach for the synthesis of highly important 3‐alkyl substituted chroman‐4‐one scaffold is developed using visible light induced radical cascade cyclization strategy. The reaction is initiated through the generation of alkyl radicals from N‐(acyloxy)phthalimides under photoredox conditions, which subsequently undergo intermolecular cascade radical cyclization on 2‐(allyloxy)arylaldehydes to afford chroman‐4‐one scaffolds. The presented strategy is attractive with regard to mild reaction conditions, operational simplicity, high functional group tolerance and broad substrate scope.  相似文献

Bovine serum albumin (BSA) has an extraordinary property to carry biomolecules. An experimental study on the wettability of BSA is presented in this study. The variations in the surface tension and the equilibrium contact angle with the change in BSA concentration are also reported. The surface tension and the contact angle are measured with pendant and sessile drop techniques, respectively. A nonlinear decrement in the surface tension with the increment in the BSA concentration is observed. An equilibrium contact angle of a BSA solution with particular concentration is determined by studying the hysteresis in the contact angle from dynamic contact angle measurements. The needle-in-drop technique is used to study the hysteresis of the contact angle. It is observed that the obtained surface tension and the equilibrium contact angle vary with the BSA concentration. In this reported study, for the considered combination of the BSA concentration and solid surface, the liquid drop does not recede as the drop volume decreases, which represents nonreceding contact angle condition. The increment in the contact angle with the increment in the BSA concentration is observed. Finally, it is observed that the inclusion of the proteins not only changes the surface tension but also changes the contact angle.  相似文献

In this study, we design a microfluidic chip, which represents the pore structure of a naturally occurring oil-bearing reservoir rock. The pore-network has been etched in a silicon substrate and bonded with a glass covering layer to make a complete microfluidic chip, which is termed as 'Reservoir-on-a-chip' (ROC). Here we report, for the first time, the ability to perform traditional waterflooding experiments in a ROC. Oil is kept as the resident phase in the ROC, and waterflooding is performed to displace the oil phase from the network. The flow visualization provides specific information about the presence of the trapped oil phase and the movement of the oil/water interface/meniscus in the network. The recovery curve is extracted based on the measured volume of oil at the outlet of the ROC. We also provide the first indication that this oil-recovery trend realized at chip-level can be correlated to the flooding experiments related to actual reservoir cores. Hence, we have successfully demonstrated that the conceptualized 'Reservoir-on-a-Chip' has the features of a realistic pore-network and in principle is able to perform the necessary flooding experiments that are routinely done in reservoir engineering.  相似文献

We theoretically investigated the effect of macroscopic polarization (sum of spontaneous and piezoelectric polarization) on the thermal conductivity of wurtzite GaN. Macroscopic polarization contributes to the effective elastic constant of the GaN and thus modifies the phonon group velocity. We used the revised phonon velocity to estimate the Debye frequency and temperature. Different phonon scattering rates were calculated as functions of the phonon frequency. The thermal conductivity of GaN was estimated using revised parameters such as the phonon velocity and phonon relaxation rate. The revised thermal conductivity at room temperature increased from 250 to 279 W m−1 K−1 due to macroscopic polarization. The method we developed can be used for thermal budget calculations for GaN optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Microbead suspensions are often used in microfluidic devices for transporting biomolecules. An experimental investigation on the wettability of microbead suspension is presented in this study. The variation in the surface tension and the equilibrium contact angle with the change in the volume fraction of the microbead is presented here. The surface tension of the microbead suspension is measured with the pendant drop technique, whereas the dynamic contact angle measurements, i.e., advancing and receding contact angles, are measured with the sessile drop technique. An equilibrium contact angle of a suspension with particular volume fraction is determined by computing an average over the measured advancing and receding contact angles. It is observed that the surface tension and the equilibrium contact angle determined from advancing and receding contact angles vary with the magnitude of the microbeads volume fraction in the suspension. A decrease in the surface tension with an increase in the volume fraction of the microbead suspension is observed. The advancement and the recession in contact line for dynamic contact angle measurements are achieved with the motorized dosing mechanism. For microbead suspensions, the advancement of the contact line is faster as compared to the recession of the contact line for the same flow rate. The presence of microbeads assists in the advancement and the recession of the contact line of the suspension. A decrease in the equilibrium contact angles with an increase in the microbead suspension volume fraction is observed. Inclusion of microbeads in the suspension increases the wetting capability for the considered combination of the microbead suspension and substrate. Finally, empirical correlations for the surface tension and the contact angle of the suspension as a function of microbead volume fraction are proposed. Such correlations can readily be used to develop mechanistic models for the capillary transport of microbead suspensions related to LOC applications.  相似文献

We present a microscopic theory of the relaxational behaviour of a granular pile submitted to vibration, elucidating the different roles of collective and independent-particle relaxation. We write down and solve Langevin equations for these processes, which have an explicit coupling. The analysis of the solution in terms of independent-particle and collective relaxations provides a consistent framework for the interpretation of experimental results.  相似文献
