Low-energy neutron data for even-even isotopes 1142–150Nd are considered. It is shown that the diffuseness parameter noticeably changes in going from one isotope to another (from a = 0.55 fm for 142Nd to a = 0.75 fm for 150Nd), which agrees with the theoretical indications of a decrease in the skin thickness for nuclei with closed shells. The analysis points to the possible existence of the semimagic number Z = 58.  相似文献

The structural state of a bulk Zn0.95Fe0.05Se cubic crystal grown by the chemical transport method from the gas phase has been investigated using thermal neutron diffraction at room temperature. It has been found that the measured neutron diffraction patterns of the crystal, in addition to structural Bragg peaks, contain a clearly identified system of superstructure reflections with the wave vector k = (1/3 1/3 1/3)2π/a (where a is the parameter of the cubic unit cell), which is interpreted as a clear evidence of the incipient transition state preceding the concentration phase transformation fcc ? hcp. It has been shown that the resulting structural state includes an inhomogeneous microstrain field with the possible appearance of long-wavelength modulations based on the initial sphalerite structure.  相似文献

The structure of cubic Zn0.999Fe0.001S x Se1 ? x (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) crystals obtained by vapor-phase chemical transport has been investigated by thermal-neutron diffraction. The diffraction patterns of these crystals are found to exhibit previously unknown diffuse-scattering effects related to local static atomic displacements in the metastable fcc lattice. It is substantiated that the tendency to form polytypes, which is characteristic to a greater extent of zinc sulfide, can be a key factor of instability in the lattice of compounds belonging to the series of anion-substituted solid solutions under study.  相似文献

Specific features of the crystal structure of bulk sphalerite-type Zn0.9Ni0.1S, Zn0.9V0.1Se, and Zn0.997Ni0.003Te crystals have been investigated in detail by thermal-neutron diffraction at room temperature. Fine effects (indicative of the existence of distortion microdomains, nucleation of long- and short-wavelength modulations, and tendencies toward local lowering of the symmetry based on the initial cubic structure) can be observed in the obtained scattering patterns. Various states preceding the fcc ? hcp phase transition have been revealed in these crystals. They depend on the elemental composition and are formed upon the reaction of the initial lattice to perturbations induced by foreign ions with an incomplete 3d shell.  相似文献
