The electron spin-density space distribution in ferromagnetic Heusler alloys

The hyperfine magnetic fields on Mn⁵⁵, Co⁵⁹, Al²⁷ and Si²⁹ were measured by the spinecho technique in several systems of Heusler alloys. The concentration dependence of local magnetic moments of Mn and Co ions in different lattice positions was determined and the space distribution of delocalized electron spin-density was analyzed. The hyperfine fields on spelements were calculated using the main theoretical models.     

Adiabatic elastic moduli in ZnSe : Mn<Superscript>2+</Superscript> and ZnSe : V<Superscript>2+</Superscript> crystals

The temperature dependences of the elastic moduli C ₄₄ (C ₁₁ ? C ₁₂)/2 and C _l = (C ₁₁ + C ₁₂ + 2C ₄₄)/2 of ZnSe : V²⁺ (impurity concentration, 6 × 10¹⁸ cm^?3) and ZnSe : Mn²⁺ (9.4 × 10²⁰ cm^?3) are measured in the temperature range 1.4–100.0 K at frequencies of 52 and 156 MHz. The temperature dependences of the adiabatic elastic moduli are derived. It is established that softening of the symmetry modules is observed only in the crystal with an impurity having orbitally degenerate states.

Hyperfine fields and the polarization of conduction electrons in semimetallic Heusler alloys

The distribution of hyperfine fields in half-metallic Heusler alloys is measured using the nuclear spin-echo method. The results from studying a great many series of samples of different composition reveal the enormous problems in obtaining materials with increased polarization of conduction electrons via the usual method of varying their composition. Other alternatives are proposed.     

Properties of 3,3-dialkyl-3,4-dihydro-isoquinoline cyclic azomethines

The reactions of 3,3-dialkyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline cyclic azomethines with the methyl ester and p-toluidide of iodoacetic acid gave stable quaternary ammonium salts which were suitable dipoles for [3+2] cycloaddition reactions. Azomethines activated by iodomethylation react with potassium cyanide and malonodinitrile.     

Oligomer epoxy binders with controllable molecular characteristics: Curing rheokinetics

A method for calculation of molecular characteristics and compositions of the mixtures of industrial epoxy diane oligomers (EDOs) with the given parameters of molecular weights and molecular weight distribution is proposed. Using the rheokinetic investigation techniques, the time ranges of the initial stages of EDO curing were defined and the dependence of time parameters of curing on the molecular characteristics and fractional compositions of the mixtures of these oligomers were determined. The investigations performed allow calculation, prediction, and optimization of compositions of epoxy binders and technological parameters of different stages of the production of polymer-composite materials and adhesive bonds with a complex of given properties.
