A series of azobenzene-functionalized poly(alkyl aryl ether) dendrimers have been synthesized and their photochemical and photophysical properties in solution and as thin films have been investigated. Although the photochemical behavior of the azodendrimers in solution indicated that the azobenzene units behave independently, very similar to the constituent monomer azobenzene unit, the properties of thin solid films of the dendrimers were distinctly different. The azodendrimers, AzoG1, AzoG2, and AzoG3 were observed to form stable supercooled glasses, which showed long-wavelength absorption and red emission characteristics of J-aggregates of the azobenzene chromophores. Reversible photoinduced isomerization of the azodendrimers in the glassy state is described.  相似文献

Double [2,3] sigmatropic rearrangements of bis(propargyl sulfenates) to bis(allenic sulfoxides) and of bis(propargyl sulfinates) to bis(allenic sulfones) are shown to be a convenient and effective method for the preparation of conjugated diallene systems bearing two electron withdrawing trihalomethyl sulfoxide or sulfone substituents either on C-1 and C-6, or on C-3 and C-4. Such substituents are further shown to facilitate cyclization to bis(methylene)cyclobutenes, and to stabilize the latter. The electron withdrawing group substitution on the exocyclic methylene extremities proved more effective than similar substitution on the endocyclic double bond.  相似文献

A highly sensitive, rapid assay method has been developed and validated for the estimation of S‐citalopram (S‐CPM) in rat plasma with liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry with electrospray ionization in the positive‐ion mode. The assay procedure involves a simple liquid–liquid extraction of S‐CPM and phenacetin (internal standard, IS) from rat plasma with t‐butyl methyl ether. Chromatographic separation was operated with 0.2% formic acid:acetonitrile (20:80, v/v) at a flow rate of 0.50 mL/min on a Symmetry Shield RP18 column with a total run time of 3.0 min. The MS/MS ion transitions monitored were 325.26 → 109.10 for S‐CPM and 180.10 → 110.10 for IS. Method validation and pre‐clinical sample analysis were performed as per FDA guidelines and the results met the acceptance criteria. The lower limit of quantitation achieved was 0.5 ng/mL and the linearity was observed from 0.5 to 5000 ng/mL. The intra‐ and inter‐day precisions were in the range of 1.14–5.56 and 0.25–12.3%, respectively. This novel method has been applied to a pharmacokinetic study and to estimate brain‐to‐plasma ratio of S‐CPM in rats. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Porous silica matrices of different pore sizes with confined ionic liquid (1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate) [BMIM] [PF6] were prepared by sol‐gel technique using a tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) precursor with an aim to study the changes in physico‐chemical properties of ionic liquid on confinement. It is found that on confinement 1) melting point decreases, 2) fluorescence spectra shows a red shift and 3) the vibrational bands are affected particularly those of imadazolium ring, which interacts more with the walls of the silica matrix. Preliminary theoretical calculations suggest that SiO2 matrix interact more with the heterocyclic group of [BMIM] cation than the tail alkyl chain end group resulting in significant changes in the aromatic vibrations.  相似文献

A novel long chain linear unsaturated terminal diisocyanate, 1,16‐diisocyanatohexadec‐8‐ene (HDEDI) was synthesized from oleic acid via Curtius rearrangement. Its chemical structure was identified by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HRMS. This diisocyanate was used as a starting material for the preparation of entirely bio‐based polyurethanes (PUs) by reacting it with canola diol and canola polyol, respectively. The physical properties and crystalline structure of the PUs prepared from this diisocyanate were compared to their counterparts prepared from similar fatty acid‐derived diisocyanate, 1,7‐heptamethylene diisocyanate (HPMDI). The HDEDI based PUs demonstrated various different properties compared to those of HPMDI based PUs. For example, HDEDI based PUs exhibited a triclinic crystal form; whereas HPMDI based PUs exhibited a hexagonal crystal lattice. In addition, canola polyol‐HDEDI PU demonstrated a higher tensile strength at break than that of canola polyol‐HPMDI, attributed to the higher degree of hydrogen bonding associated with the former sample. Nevertheless, lower Young's modulus and higher elongation in canola polyol‐HDEDI PU were obtained because of the flexibility of the long chain introduced by the HDEDI diisocyanate. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. CdS quantum dots (∼5 nm) are used as multifunctional nanoprobes as an effective matrix for large proteins, peptides and as affinity probes for the enrichment of tryptic digest proteins (lysozyme, myoglobin and cytochrome c) in laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LDI-TOF MS). The use of CdS quantum dots (CdS QDs) as the matrix allows acquisition of high resolution LDI mass spectra for large proteins (5000-80,000 Da). The enhancement of mass resolution is especially notable for large proteins such as BSA, HSA and transferrin (34-49 times) when compared with those obtained by using SA as the matrix. This technique demonstrates the potentiality of LDI-TOF-MS as an appropriate analytical tool for the analysis of high-molecular-weight biomolecules with high mass resolution. In addition, CdS QDs are also used as matrices for background-free detection of small biomolecules (peptides) and as affinity probes for the enrichment of tryptic digest proteins in LDI-TOF-MS.  相似文献
